1 ¶ I wish ye could bear with me a little in my folly and indeed bear with me.

¶ Bien que tolerareis un poco mi locura; pero toleradme.

2 F or I am jealous over you with the jealousy of God, for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to the Christ.

Porque os celo con celo de Dios; pues os he desposado a un marido, para presentaros como una virgen limpia al Cristo.

3 B ut I fear that as the serpent deceived Eve through his craftiness, so your senses should be corrupted in some way, and ye should fall from the simplicity that is in the Christ.

Mas temo que como la serpiente engañó a Eva con su astucia, sean corrompidos así vuestros sentidos en alguna manera, y caigan de la simplicidad que es en el Cristo.

4 T herefore if anyone comes preaching another Jesus whom we have not preached or if ye receive another spirit from that which ye have received or another gospel from that which ye have accepted, ye bear well with it.

Por lo cual si alguno que viniere predicare otro Cristo diferente al que hemos predicado, o recibiereis otro Espíritu del que habéis recibido, u otro Evangelio del que habéis aceptado, lo sufrierais bien.

5 ¶ I reckon that I have not been inferior in any way to those grandiose apostles.

¶ En verdad pienso que en nada he sido inferior a aquellos grandiosos apóstoles.

6 B ut though I am rude in speech, yet not in knowledge, but we have been thoroughly made manifest among you in all things.

Porque aunque soy basto en la palabra, empero no en la ciencia; mas en todo somos ya del todo manifiestos a vosotros.

7 H ave I committed an offence in humbling myself that ye might be exalted because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?

¿Por ventura pequé humillándome a mí mismo, para que vosotros fuerais ensalzados? Porque os he predicado el Evangelio de Dios gratuitamente.

8 I deprived the other congregations, taking wages of them, to do you service.

He sacado de las otras Iglesias, recibiendo salario para ministraros a vosotros.

9 A nd when I was present with you and had need, I was not a burden to any of you, for that which was lacking to me was supplied by the brethren which came from Macedonia; and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.

Y estando con vosotros y teniendo necesidad, a ninguno de vosotros fui carga; porque lo que me faltaba, lo suplieron los hermanos que vinieron de Macedonia; y en todo me guardé de seros gravoso, y me guardaré.

10 I t is the truth of Christ in me that this glory shall not be sealed up unto me in the regions of Achaia.

Es la verdad del Cristo en mí, que esta gloria no me será sellada en las partes de Acaya.

11 W hy? because I do not love you? God knows.

¿Por qué? ¿Porque no os amo? Dios lo sabe.

12 B ut what I do, I will continue to do that I may take away the occasion from those who desire it to be found like unto us in that in which they glory.

Mas lo que hago, lo haré aún, para quitar la ocasión de aquellos que la desean para ser hallados semejantes a nosotros en lo que se glorían.

13 F or these false apostles are deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.

Porque estos falsos apóstoles, son obreros fraudulentos, transfigurándose en apóstoles de Cristo.

14 A nd it is no marvel, for Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

Y no es maravilla, porque el mismo Satanás se transfigura en ángel de luz.

15 T herefore it is no great thing if his ministers transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works.

Así que, no es mucho si sus ministros se transfiguran como ministros de justicia; cuyo fin será conforme a sus obras.

16 ¶ I say again, Let no one think me a fool if otherwise, receive me as a fool, that I may yet glory a little.

¶ Otra vez digo: Que nadie me estime ser loco; de otra manera, recibidme como a loco, para que aun me gloríe yo un poquito.

17 T hat which I speak, I speak it not according to the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of glory.

Lo que hablo, no lo hablo según el Señor, sino como en locura, con esta confianza de gloria.

18 S eeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.

Puesto que muchos se glorían según la carne, también yo me gloriaré.

19 F or ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise.

Porque de buena gana toleráis los locos, siendo vosotros sabios;

20 F or ye suffer it if anyone brings you into bondage, if anyone devours you, if anyone takes of you, if anyone exalts himself, if anyone smites you on the face.

porque toleráis si alguno os pone en servidumbre, si alguno os devora, si alguno toma, si alguno se ensalza, si alguno os hiere en la cara.

21 I speak as concerning the reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit in that in which another is bold, (I speak foolishly), I am bold also.

Lo digo en cuanto a la afrenta, como si nosotros hubiéramos sido flacos (en esta parte). Pero en lo que otro tuviere osadía (hablo con locura), también yo tengo osadía.

22 ¶ Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.

¶ ¿Son hebreos? Yo también. ¿Son israelitas? Yo también. ¿Son simiente de Abraham? También yo.

23 A re they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more, in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths often.

¿Son ministros de Cristo? (Como poco sabio hablo), yo más; en trabajos más abundante; en azotes más; en cárceles más; en muertes, muchas veces.

24 O f the Jews five times I received forty stripes less one.

De los judíos cinco veces he recibido cuarenta azotes menos uno.

25 T hree times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned; three times I suffered shipwreck, night and day I have been in the deep;

Tres veces he sido azotado con varas; una vez apedreado; tres veces he padecido naufragio; noche y día he estado en lo profundo (del mar);

26 i n journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by those of my nation, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

en caminos, muchas veces; peligros de ríos, peligros de ladrones, peligros de los de mi nación, peligros de los gentiles, peligros en la ciudad, peligros en el desierto, peligros en el mar, peligros con falsos hermanos;

27 i n labour and travail, in many watches, in hunger and thirst, in many fasts, in cold and nakedness.

en trabajo y fatiga, en muchas vigilias, en hambre y sed, en muchos ayunos, en frío y en desnudez;

28 B eside those things that are without, my daily combat is the welfare of all the congregations.

y además de otras cosas, mi combate de cada día es la solicitud de todas las Iglesias.

29 W ho is sick, and I am not sick? who stumbles, and I burn not?

¿Quién enferma, y yo no enfermo? ¿Quién se tropieza, y yo no me quemo?

30 I f I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern my weakness.

Si es necesario gloriarse, me gloriaré yo de lo que es de mi flaqueza.

31 T he God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed for evermore, knows that I do not lie.

El Dios y Padre del Señor nuestro, Jesús el Cristo, que es bendito por los siglos, sabe que no miento.

32 I n Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me;

En Damasco, el capitán de la gente del rey Aretas guardaba la ciudad de los damascenos para prenderme;

33 a nd through a window in a basket I was let down by the wall and escaped his hands.

y fui descolgado del muro por una ventana, y escapé de sus manos.
