1 ¶ And Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.

¶ Y salido Jesús, se iba del Templo; y se acercaron sus discípulos, para mostrarle los edificios del Templo.

2 A nd Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down.

Respondiendo él, les dijo: ¿Veis todo esto? De cierto os digo, que no será dejada aquí piedra sobre piedra, que no sea destruida.

3 A nd as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the age?

Y sentándose él en el Monte de las Olivas, se acercaron a él los discípulos aparte, diciendo: Dinos, ¿cuándo serán estas cosas, y qué señal habrá de tu venida, y del fin del siglo?

4 ¶ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no one deceive you.

¶ Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Mirad que nadie os engañe.

5 F or many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and shall deceive many.

Porque vendrán muchos en mi nombre, diciendo: Yo soy el Cristo; y a muchos engañarán.

6 A nd ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars; see that ye be not troubled, for it is necessary that all these things must take place; but the end is not yet.

Y oiréis guerras, y rumores de guerras; mirad que no os turbéis; porque es necesario que todo esto acontezca; mas aún no es el fin.

7 F or nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in different places.

Porque se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino; y habrá pestilencias, y hambres, y terremotos por los lugares.

8 A ll these are the beginning of sorrows.

Y todas estas cosas, son principio de dolores.

9 T hen they shall deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

Entonces os entregarán para ser afligidos, y os matarán; y seréis aborrecidos de todas las naciones por causa de mi nombre.

10 A nd then shall many be offended and shall betray one another and shall hate one another.

Muchos entonces serán escandalizados; y se entregarán unos a otros, y unos a otros se aborrecerán.

11 A nd many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many.

Y muchos falsos profetas se levantarán y engañarán a muchos.

12 A nd because lawlessness shall abound, the charity of many shall wax cold.

Y por haberse multiplicado la maldad, la caridad de muchos se enfriará.

13 B ut he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mas el que perseverare hasta el fin, éste será salvo.

14 A nd this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come.

Y será predicado este Evangelio del Reino en el mundo entero, por testimonio a todas las naciones; y entonces vendrá el fin.

15 T herefore, when ye see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, which shall stand in the holy place (whosoever reads, let him understand),

Por tanto, cuando viereis la abominación de asolamiento, que fue dicha por Daniel profeta, que estará en el lugar santo, (el que lee, entienda).

16 t hen let those who are in Judaea flee into the mountains;

Entonces los que están en Judea, huyan a los montes;

17 l et him who is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house,

y el que sobre el terrado, no descienda a tomar algo de su casa;

18 n either let him who is in the field return back to take his clothes.

y el que en el campo, no vuelva otra vez a tomar sus vestidos.

19 A nd woe unto those that are with child and to those that give suck in those days!

Mas ¡ay de las preñadas, y de las que crían en aquellos días!

20 B ut pray ye that your flight be not in the winter neither on the sabbath day,

Orad, pues, que vuestra huida no sea en invierno ni en sábado;

21 f or then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

porque habrá entonces gran tribulación, cual no fue desde el principio del mundo hasta ahora, ni será.

22 A nd if those days were not shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

Y si aquellos días no fueran acortados, ninguna carne sería salva; mas por causa de los escogidos, aquellos días serán acortados.

23 T hen if any man shall say unto you, Behold, here is the Christ, or there, believe it not.

Entonces, si alguno os dijere: He aquí está el Cristo, o allí, no creáis.

24 F or there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders in such a manner that they shall deceive, if possible, the very elect.

Porque se levantarán falsos Cristos, y falsos profetas, y darán señales grandes y prodigios; de tal manera que engañarán, si es posible, aun a los escogidos.

25 B ehold, I have told you before.

He aquí os lo he dicho antes.

26 T herefore if they say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert, go not forth; Behold, he is in the secret chambers, believe it not.

Así que, si os dijeren: He aquí en el desierto está, no salgáis; he aquí en las cámaras, no creáis.

27 F or as the lightning that comes out of the east and shines even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Porque como el relámpago que sale del oriente y se muestra hasta el occidente, así será también la venida del Hijo del hombre.

28 F or wherever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Porque dondequiera que estuviere el cuerpo muerto, allí se juntarán las águilas.

29 I mmediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken,

Y luego, después de la tribulación de aquellos días, el sol se oscurecerá, y la luna no dará su lumbre, y las estrellas caerán del cielo, y las virtudes de los cielos serán conmovidas.

30 a nd then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with great power and glory.

Y entonces se mostrará la señal del Hijo del hombre en el cielo; y entonces lamentarán todas las tribus de la tierra, y verán al Hijo del hombre que vendrá sobre las nubes del cielo, con grande poder y gloria.

31 A nd he shall send his angels with a trumpet and a great voice, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Y enviará sus ángeles con trompeta y gran voz; y juntarán sus escogidos de los cuatro vientos, de un cabo del cielo hasta el otro.

32 ¶ Now learn a parable of the fig tree: When his branch is yet tender and puts forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh;

¶ Del árbol de la higuera aprended la comparación: Cuando ya su rama se enternece, y las hojas brotan, sabéis que el verano está cerca.

33 s o likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

Así también vosotros, cuando viereis todas estas cosas, sabed que está cercano, a las puertas.

34 V erily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass until all these things are fulfilled.

De cierto os digo, que no pasará esta generación, que todas estas cosas no acontezcan.

35 T he heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

El cielo y la tierra pasarán, pero mis palabras no pasarán.

36 B ut of that day and hour no one knows, no, not even the angels of the heavens, but my Father only.

Pero del día y hora nadie sabe, ni aun los ángeles de los cielos, sino mi Padre solo.

37 B ut as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Mas como en los días de Noé, así será la venida del Hijo del hombre.

38 F or as they were in the days before the flood, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

Porque como eran en los días antes del diluvio, estaban comiendo y bebiendo, tomando mujeres los maridos y dándolas los padres, hasta el día que Noé entró en el arca,

39 a nd they knew not until the flood came and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

y no conocieron hasta que vino el diluvio y tomó a todos, así será también la venida del Hijo del hombre.

40 T hen shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken and the other left.

Entonces estarán dos en el campo; el uno será tomado, y el otro será dejado.

41 T wo women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken and the other left.

Dos mujeres estarán moliendo a un molinillo; la una será tomada, y la otra será dejada.

42 W atch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Velad pues, porque no sabéis a qué hora ha de venir vuestro Señor.

43 B ut know this that if the husband of the house knew in what watch the thief would come, he would watch and would not suffer his house to be broken into.

Pero sabed esto, que si el padre de familia supiera a cuál hora el ladrón había de venir, velaría, y no dejaría minar su casa.

44 T herefore be ye also ready; the Son of man is to come in the hour that ye think not.

Por tanto, también vosotros estad apercibidos; porque el Hijo del hombre ha de venir a la hora que no pensáis.

45 W ho then is the faithful and prudent slave, whom his lord has made ruler over his household to give them food in due season?

¿Quién pues es el siervo fiel y prudente, al cual puso su señor sobre su familia para que les dé alimento a tiempo?

46 B lessed is that slave whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.

Bienaventurado aquel siervo, al cual, cuando su señor viniere, le hallare haciendo así.

47 V erily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

De cierto os digo, que sobre todos sus bienes le pondrá.

48 B ut and if that evil slave shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming,

Y si aquel siervo malo dijere en su corazón: Mi señor se tarda en venir;

49 a nd shall begin to smite his fellowslaves and even to eat and drink with the drunken,

y comenzare a herir a sus consiervos, y aun a comer y a beber con los borrachos,

50 t he lord of that slave shall come in a day when he does not look for him and in an hour that he is not aware of

vendrá el señor de aquel siervo en el día que no espera, y a la hora que no sabe,

51 a nd shall cut him off and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

y le cortará por medio, y pondrá su parte con los hipócritas; allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes.
