1 ¶ So that now, there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ, Jesus, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

¶ Así que ahora, ninguna condenación hay para los que están en Cristo, Jesús, que no andan conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu.

2 F or the law of the Spirit of life in Christ, Jesus, has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Porque la ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo, Jesús, me ha librado de la ley del pecado y de la muerte.

3 F or that which was impossible to the law, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh

Porque lo que era imposible a la ley, por cuanto era débil por la carne, y por el pecado, Dios enviando a su Hijo en semejanza de carne de pecado condenó al pecado en la carne;

4 t hat the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

para que la justicia de la ley fuera cumplida en nosotros, que no andamos conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu.

5 F or those that are according to the flesh know the things that are of the flesh; but those that are according to the Spirit, the things that are of the Spirit.

Porque los que son conforme a la carne, las cosas que son de la carne saben; mas los que conforme al Espíritu, las cosas que son del Espíritu.

6 F or the prudence of the flesh is death, but the prudence of the Spirit, life and peace,

Porque la prudencia de la carne es muerte; mas la prudencia del Espíritu, vida y paz;

7 b ecause the prudence of the flesh is enmity against God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, neither indeed can it.

por cuanto la prudencia de la carne es enemistad contra Dios; porque no se sujeta a la ley de Dios, ni tampoco puede.

8 S o then, those that are carnal cannot please God.

Así que, los que son carnales no pueden agradar a Dios.

9 B ut ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, because the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, that person is not of him.

Mas vosotros no sois en la carne, sino en el Espíritu, por cuanto el Espíritu de Dios mora en vosotros. Y si alguno no tiene el Espíritu de Cristo, el tal no es de él.

10 ¶ But if Christ is in you, the body is truly dead because of sin, but the Spirit is alive because of righteousness.

¶ Pero si Cristo está en vosotros, el cuerpo a la verdad es muerto a causa del pecado; mas el espíritu vive a causa de la justicia.

11 A nd if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up the Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.

Y si el Espíritu de aquel que levantó de los muertos a Jesús mora en vosotros, el que levantó a Jesús, el Cristo de los muertos, vivificará también vuestros cuerpos mortales por su Espíritu que mora en vosotros.

12 T herefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

Así que, hermanos, deudores somos, no a la carne, para que vivamos conforme a la carne;

13 F or if ye live according to the flesh, ye shall die; but if through the Spirit ye mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

porque si viviereis conforme a la carne, moriréis; mas si por el Espíritu mortificáis las obras del cuerpo, viviréis.

14 F or all that are led by the Spirit of God, the same are sons of God.

Porque todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios, los tales son hijos de Dios.

15 F or ye have not received the spirit of slavery to be in fear again, but ye have received the Spirit of adoption of sons, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Porque no habéis recibido el espíritu de servidumbre para estar (otra vez) en temor; mas habéis recibido el Espíritu de adopción (de hijos), por el cual clamamos, ¡Abba, Padre!

16 F or the same Spirit bears witness unto our spirit that we are sons of God,

Porque el mismo Espíritu da testimonio a nuestro espíritu que somos hijos de Dios.

17 ¶ and if sons, also heirs certainly of God and joint-heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with him that we may be also glorified together with him.

¶ Y si hijos, también herederos; ciertamente de Dios, y coherederos con Cristo; si empero padecemos juntamente con él, para que juntamente con él seamos glorificados.

18 F or I know with certainty that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the coming glory which shall be manifested in us.

Porque tengo por cierto que lo que en este tiempo se padece, no es de comparar con la gloria venidera que en nosotros ha de ser manifestada.

19 F or the earnest hope of the creatures waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Porque la esperanza solícita de las criaturas espera la manifestación de los hijos de Dios.

20 F or the creatures were subjected to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who has subjected them,

Porque las criaturas sujetas fueron a vanidad, no de su voluntad, sino por causa del que las sujetó,

21 w ith the hope that the same creatures shall be delivered from the slavery of corruption into the glorious liberty of the sons of God.

con esperanza que también las mismas criaturas serán libradas de la servidumbre de corrupción en la libertad gloriosa de los hijos de Dios.

22 F or we now know that all the creatures groan together and travail in pain together until now.

Porque ya sabemos que todas las criaturas gimen (a una), y (a una) están de parto hasta ahora.

23 A nd not only they, but ourselves also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, that is to say, the redemption of our body.

Y no sólo ellas, sino también nosotros mismos, que tenemos las primicias del Espíritu, nosotros también gemimos dentro de nosotros mismos esperando la adopción, es a saber, la redención de nuestro cuerpo.

24 F or in hope we are saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for what a man sees, he does not wait for.

Porque en esperanza somos salvos; pero la esperanza que se ve, no es esperanza; porque lo que alguno ve, no lo espera.

25 B ut if we wait for that which we do not see, with patience we wait for it.

Pues si lo que no vemos lo esperamos, por paciencia lo esperamos.

26 ¶ And likewise also the Spirit helps our weakness; for we know not how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself makes entreaty for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

¶ Y asimismo también el Espíritu nos ayuda en nuestra flaqueza; porque orar como conviene, no lo sabemos; sino que el mismo Espíritu demanda por nosotros con gemidos indecibles.

27 B ut he that searches the hearts knows what is the desire of the Spirit, that according to the will of God, he makes entreaty for the saints.

Mas el que escudriña los corazones, sabe qué es el deseo del Espíritu, que conforme a Dios, demanda por los santos.

28 A nd we now know that unto those who love God, all things help them unto good, to those who according to the purpose are called to be saints.

Y ya sabemos que a los que a Dios aman, todas las cosas les ayudan a bien, a los que conforme al Propósito son llamados (a ser santos).

29 ¶ For unto those whom he knew beforehand, he also marked out beforehand the way that they might be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

¶ Porque a los que antes conoció, también les señaló desde antes el camino para que fueran hechos conformes a la imagen de su Hijo, para que él sea el Primogénito entre muchos hermanos;

30 A nd unto those whom he did mark out beforehand the way, to these he also called; and to whom he called, these he also justified; and to whom he justified, these he also glorified.

Y a los que les señaló desde antes el camino, a éstos también llamó; y a los que llamó, a éstos también justificó; y a los que justificó, a éstos también glorificó.

31 ¶ What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who shall be against us?

¶ ¿Pues qué diremos a esto? Si Dios es por nosotros, ¿quién será contra nosotros?

32 H e that did not spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also give us all things with him?

El que aun a su propio Hijo no escatimó, antes lo entregó por todos nosotros, ¿cómo no nos dará también con él todas las cosas?

33 W ho shall accuse the chosen of God’s? God is he that justifies them.

¿Quién acusará a los escogidos de Dios? Dios es el que los justifica.

34 W ho is he that condemns them? Christ, Jesus, is he who died and, even more, he that also rose again, who furthermore is at the right hand of God, who also makes entreaty for us.

¿Quién es el que los condenará? Cristo, Jesús, es el que murió; más aun, el que también resucitó, quien además está a la diestra de Dios, el que también demanda por nosotros.

35 W ho shall separate us from the charity of Christ? shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword?

¿Quién nos apartará de la caridad de Cristo? ¿tribulación, o angustia, o persecución, o hambre, o desnudez, o peligro, o espada?

36 ( As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.)

(Como está escrito: Por causa de ti somos muertos todo el tiempo; somos estimados como ovejas de matadero.)

37 N evertheless, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Antes, en todas estas cosas somos más que vencedores por aquel que nos amó.

38 T herefore I am certain that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come

Por lo cual estoy cierto que ni la muerte, ni la vida, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni potestades, ni lo presente, ni lo por venir,

39 n or height nor depth nor any creature shall be able to separate us from the charity of God, which is in Christ, Jesus our Lord.

ni lo alto, ni lo bajo, ni ninguna criatura nos podrá apartar de la caridad de Dios, que es en Cristo, Jesús, Señor nuestro.
