1 Q uão amável são os teus tabernáculos, ó Senhor dos exércitos!

How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Jehovah of hosts!

2 A minha alma suspira! sim, desfalece pelos átrios do Senhor; o meu coração e a minha carne clamam pelo Deus vivo.

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of Jehovah; My heart and my flesh cry out unto the living God.

3 A té o pardal encontrou casa, e a andorinha ninho para si, onde crie os seus filhotes, junto aos teus altares, ó Senhor dos exércitos, Rei meu e Deus meu.

Yea, the sparrow hath found her a house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, Even thine altars, O Jehovah of hosts, My King, and my God.

4 B em-aventurados os que habitam em tua casa; louvar-te-ão continuamente.

Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: They will be still praising thee. Selah

5 B em-aventurados os homens cuja força está em ti, em cujo coração os caminhos altos.

Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; In whose heart are the highways to Zion.

6 P assando pelo vale de Baca, fazem dele um lugar de fontes; e a primeira chuva o cobre de bênçãos.

Passing through the valley of Weeping they make it a place of springs; Yea, the early rain covereth it with blessings.

7 V ão sempre aumentando de força; cada um deles aparece perante Deus em Sião.

They go from strength to strength; Every one of them appeareth before God in Zion.

8 S enhor Deus dos exércitos, escuta a minha oração; inclina os ouvidos, ó Deus de Jacó!

O Jehovah God of hosts, hear my prayer; Give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah

9 O lha, ó Deus, escudo nosso, e contempla o rosto do teu ungido.

Behold, O God our shield, And look upon the face of thine anointed.

10 P orque vale mais um dia nos teus átrios do que em outra parte mil. Preferiria estar ã porta da casa do meu Deus, a habitar nas tendas da perversidade.

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

11 P orquanto o Senhor Deus é sol e escudo; o Senhor dará graça e glória; não negará bem algum aos que andam na retidão.

For Jehovah God is a sun and a shield: Jehovah will give grace and glory; No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

12 Ó Senhor dos exércitos, bem-aventurado o homem que em ti põe a sua confiança.

O Jehovah of hosts, Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
