1 Ó pastor de Israel, dá ouvidos; tu, que guias a José como a um rebanho, que estás entronizado sobre os querubins, resplandece.

Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, Thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; Thou that sittest above the cherubim, shine forth.

2 P erante Efraim, Benjamim e Manassés, desperta o teu poder, e vem salvar-nos.

Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy might, And come to save us.

3 R eabilita-nos, ó Deus; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, para que sejamos salvos.

Turn us again, O God; And cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

4 Ó Senhor Deus dos exércitos, até quando te indignarás contra a oração do teu povo?

O Jehovah God of hosts, How long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

5 T u os alimentaste com pão de lágrimas, e lhes deste a beber lágrimas em abundância.

Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, And given them tears to drink in large measure.

6 T u nos fazes objeto de escárnio entre os nossos vizinhos; e os nossos inimigos zombam de nós entre si.

Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbors; And our enemies laugh among themselves.

7 R eabilita-nos, ó Deus dos exércitos; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, para que sejamos salvos.

Turn us again, O God of hosts; And cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

8 T rouxeste do Egito uma videira; lançaste fora as nações, e a plantaste.

Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt: Thou didst drive out the nations, and plantedst it.

9 P reparaste-lhe lugar; e ela deitou profundas raízes, e encheu a terra.

Thou preparedst room before it, And it took deep root, and filled the land.

10 O s montes cobriram-se com a sua sombra, e os cedros de Deus com os seus ramos.

The mountains were covered with the shadow of it, And the boughs thereof were like cedars of God.

11 E la estendeu a sua ramagem até o mar, e os seus rebentos até o Rio.

It sent out its branches unto the sea, And its shoots unto the River.

12 P or que lhe derrubaste as cercas, de modo que a vindimam todos os que passam pelo caminho?

Why hast thou broken down its walls, So that all they that pass by the way do pluck it?

13 O javali da selva a devasta, e as feras do campo alimentam-se dela.

The boar out of the wood doth ravage it, And the wild beasts of the field feed on it.

14 Ó Deus dos exércitos, volta-te, nós te rogamos; atende do céu, e vê, e visita esta videira,

Turn again, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: Look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine,

15 a videira que a tua destra plantou, e o sarmento que fortificaste para ti.

And the stock which thy right hand planted, And the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.

16 E stá queimada pelo fogo, está cortada; eles perecem pela repreensão do teu rosto.

It is burned with fire, it is cut down: They perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

17 S eja a tua mão sobre o varão da tua destra, sobre o filho do homem que fortificaste para ti.

Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, Upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.

18 E não nos afastaremos de ti; vivifica-nos, e nós invocaremos o teu nome.

So shall we not go back from thee: Quicken thou us, and we will call upon thy name.

19 R eabilita-nos, Senhor Deus dos exércitos; faze resplandecer o teu rosto, para que sejamos salvos.

Turn us again, O Jehovah God of hosts; Cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
