1 D iz o néscio no seu coração: Não há Deus. Corromperam-se e cometeram abominável iniqüidade; não há quem faça o bem.

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity; There is none that doeth good.

2 D eus olha lá dos céus para os filhos dos homens, para ver se há algum que tenha entendimento, que busque a Deus.

God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God.

3 D esviaram-se todos, e juntamente se fizeram imundos; não há quem faça o bem, não há sequer um.

Every one of them is gone back; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.

4 A caso não têm conhecimento os que praticam a iniqüidade, os quais comem o meu povo como se comessem pão, e não invocam a Deus?

Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And call not upon God?

5 E is que eles se acham em grande pavor onde não há motivo de pavor, porque Deus espalhará os ossos daqueles que se acampam contra ti; tu os confundirás, porque Deus os rejeitou.

There were they in great fear, where no fear was; For God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: Thou hast put them to shame, because of God hath rejected them.

6 O xalá que de Sião viesse a salvação de Israel! Quando Deus fizer voltar os cativos do seu povo, então se regozijará Jacó e se alegrará Israel.

Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Then shall Jacob rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
