1 “ Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Тогава небесното царство ще се оприличи на десет девици, които взеха светилниците си и излязоха да посрещнат младоженеца.

2 N ow five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

А от тях пет бяха неразумни и пет - разумни.

3 T hose who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,

Защото неразумните, като взеха светилниците, не взеха елей със себе си.

4 b ut the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

А разумните заедно със светилниците си взеха и елей в съдовете си.

5 B ut while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

И докато се бавеше младоженецът, дрямка обхвана всички и заспаха.

6 “ And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’

А посреднощ се нададе вик: Ето, младоженецът иде! Излизайте да го посрещнете!

7 T hen all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.

Тогава всички онези девици станаха и приготвиха светилниците си.

8 A nd the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

А неразумните казаха на разумните: Дайте ни от вашия елей, защото нашите светилници угасват.

9 B ut the wise answered, saying, ‘ No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

А разумните отговориха: Да не би да не стигне и за нас, и за вас, по-добре идете при продавачите и си купете.

10 A nd while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

А когато те отидоха да купят, младоженецът пристигна; и готовите влязоха с него на сватбата и вратата се затвори.

11 “ Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’

После дойдоха и другите девици и казаха: Господи! Господи! Отвори ни.

12 B ut he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

А той отговори: Истина ви казвам: Не ви познавам.

13 “ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming. The Parable of the Talents

И така, бдете; защото не знаете нито деня, нито часа, в който Човешкият Син ще дойде. Притча за талантите

14 “ For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.

Защото ще стане, както когато един човек при тръгването си за чужбина свика своите слуги и им предаде имота си.

15 A nd to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.

На един даде пет таланта, на друг - два, на трети - един, на всеки според способността му; и тръгна.

16 T hen he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.

Веднага този, който получи петте таланта, отиде и търгува с тях, и спечели още пет таланта.

17 A nd likewise he who had received two gained two more also.

Също и този, който получи двата, спечели още два.

18 B ut he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money.

А този, който получи единия, отиде, изкопа дупка в земята и скри парите на господаря си.

19 A fter a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

След дълго време дойде господарят на тези слуги и поиска сметка от тях.

20 “ So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’

И когато се приближи този, който беше получил петте таланта, донесе още пет таланта и каза: Господарю, ти ми даде пет таланта; ето, аз спечелих още пет.

21 H is lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

Господарят му каза: Хубаво, добър и верен слуга! Над малкото си бил верен, над многото ще те поставя. Влез в радостта на господаря си.

22 H e also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’

Приближи се и този, който беше получил двата таланта, и каза: Господарю, ти ми даде два таланта, ето, спечелих още два таланта.

23 H is lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

Господарят му каза: Хубаво, добър и верен слуга! Над малкото си бил верен, над многото ще те поставя. Влез в радостта на господаря си.

24 “ Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.

Тогава се приближи този, който беше получил един талант, и каза: Господарю, аз те знаех, че си строг човек; жънеш, където не си сял, и събираш, където не си пръскал;

25 A nd I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’

и като се уплаших, отидох и скрих таланта ти в земята; ето, имаш своето.

26 “ But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.

А господарят отговори: Лукав и ленив слуга! Знаел си, че жъна, където не съм сял, и събирам, където не съм пръскал.

27 S o you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.

Ти поне трябваше да внесеш парите ми при банкерите и когато си дойда, щях да взема своето с лихва.

28 T herefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

Затова вземете от него таланта и го дайте на този, който има десет таланта.

29 ‘ For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

Защото на всеки, който има, ще се даде и той ще има в изобилие; а от този, който няма, от него ще се отнеме и това, което има.

30 A nd cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ The Son of Man Will Judge the Nations

А този безполезен слуга хвърлете в тъмнината отвън; там ще бъде плач и скърцане със зъби. Предстоящият съд

31 “ When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

А когато до̀йде Човешкият Син в славата Си и всички святи ангели с Него, тогава ще седне на славния Си престол.

32 A ll the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.

И ще се съберат пред Него всички народи; и ще ги отлъчи един от друг, както овчарят отлъчва овцете от козите;

33 A nd He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.

и ще постави овцете от дясната Си страна, а козите от лявата.

34 T hen the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Тогава Царят ще каже на тези, които са от дясната Му страна: Елате, вие, благословени от Моя Отец, наследете царството, приготвено за вас от създанието на света.

35 f or I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;

Защото огладнях и Ме нахранихте; ожаднях и Ме напоихте; странник бях и Ме прибрахте;

36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

гол бях и Ме облякохте; болен бях и Ме посетихте; в тъмница бях и Ме споходихте.

37 “ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?

Тогава праведните в отговор ще Му кажат: Господи, кога Те видяхме гладен и Те нахранихме; или жаден и Те напоихме?

38 W hen did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?

И кога Те видяхме странник и Те прибрахме; или гол и Те облякохме?

39 O r when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’

И кога Те видяхме болен или в тъмница и Те посетихме?

40 A nd the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

А Царят ще им отговори: Истина ви казвам: Понеже сте направили това на един от тези най-малки Мои братя, на Мене сте го направили.

41 “ Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

Тогава ще каже и на тези, които са от лявата Му страна: Идете си от Мене, вие, проклети, във вечния огън, приготвен за дявола и неговите ангели.

42 f or I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;

Защото огладнях и не Ме нахранихте; ожаднях и не Ме напоихте;

43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’

странник бях и не Ме прибрахте; гол бях и не Ме облякохте; болен и в тъмница бях и не Ме посетихте.

44 “ Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’

Тогава и те ще отговорят: Господи, кога Те видяхме гладен или жаден, или странник, или гол, или болен, или в тъмница и не Ти послужихме?

45 T hen He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’

Тогава Той в отговор ще им каже: Истина ви казвам: Понеже не сте направили това на нито един от тези, най-малките, то и на Мене не сте го направили.

46 A nd these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

И тези ще отидат във вечно наказание, а праведните - във вечен живот.
