1 I n the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

В осмия месец, през втората година на Дарий, Господнето слово дойде към пророк Захария, син на Варахия, син на Идо, и каза:

2 “ The Lord has been very angry with your fathers.

Господ се разгневи много на бащите ви.

3 T herefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.

Затова им кажи: Така казва Господ на Силите: Върнете се при Мене, казва Господ на Силите; и Аз ще се върна при вас, казва Господ на Силите.

4 “ Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.”’ But they did not hear nor heed Me,” says the Lord.

Не ставайте такива, каквито бяха бащите ви, към които предишните пророци викаха и казаха: Така казва Господ на Силите: Върнете се сега от нечестивите си пътища и от лошите си дела, но те не послушаха, нито Ми обърнаха внимание, казва Господ.

5 “ Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?

Бащите ви къде са? И пророците живеят ли вечно?

6 Y et surely My words and My statutes, Which I commanded My servants the prophets, Did they not overtake your fathers? “So they returned and said: ‘Just as the Lord of hosts determined to do to us, According to our ways and according to our deeds, So He has dealt with us.’”’” Vision of the Horses

Но думите Ми и наредбите, които заповядах на слугите Си, пророците, не сполетяха ли бащите ви? И те се обърнаха и казаха: Както Господ на Силите е намислил да постъпи с нас според постъпките ни и според делата ни, така и постъпи с нас. Видение за конници

7 O n the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet:

На двадесет и четвъртия ден от единадесетия месец, който е месец Сават, във втората година на Дарий, Господнето слово дойде към пророк Захария, син на Варахия, син на Идо, и каза:

8 I saw by night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow; and behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white.

Видях нощем един човек, който яздеше на червен кон и стоеше между миртовите дървета, които бяха в едно сенчесто място; и зад него имаше червени, пъстри и бели коне.

9 T hen I said, “My lord, what are these?” So the angel who talked with me said to me, “I will show you what they are. ”

Тогава казах: Господарю мой, кои са тези? И ангелът, който говореше с мене, ми отговори: Аз ще ти покажа кои са тези.

10 A nd the man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, “These are the ones whom the Lord has sent to walk to and fro throughout the earth.”

Човекът, който стоеше между миртите, отвърна: Те са онези, които Господ изпрати да обходят света.

11 S o they answered the Angel of the Lord, who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, “We have walked to and fro throughout the earth, and behold, all the earth is resting quietly.” The Lord Will Comfort Zion

И като проговориха на ангела Господен, който стоеше между миртите, казаха: Ние обходихме света: и, ето, целият свят седи спокойно и е тих.

12 T hen the Angel of the Lord answered and said, “O Lord of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You were angry these seventy years?”

Тогава ангелът Господен отговори: Господи на Силите, докога няма да покажеш милост към Йерусалим и Юдейските градове, против които си негодувал през тези седемдесет години?

13 A nd the Lord answered the angel who talked to me, with good and comforting words.

А Господ отговори с добри думи, с утешителни думи, на ангела, който говореше с мен.

14 S o the angel who spoke with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “I am zealous for Jerusalem And for Zion with great zeal.

И така ангелът, който говореше с мене, ми каза: Извикай и кажи: Така казва Господ на Силите: Ревнувам твърде силно за Йерусалим и за Сион;

15 I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease; For I was a little angry, And they helped— but with evil intent. ”

и много се сърдя на охолните народи; защото като се разсърдих само малко, те спомогнаха за наскърбяването на Израел.

16 ‘ Therefore thus says the Lord: “I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy; My house shall be built in it,” says the Lord of hosts, “And a surveyor’s line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.”’

Затова така казва Господ: Аз съм се върнал с милост в Йерусалим; домът Ми ще бъде построен в него, казва Господ на Силите; и връв ще бъде опъната върху Йерусалим.

17 “ Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The Lord will again comfort Zion, And will again choose Jerusalem.”’” Vision of the Horns

Извикай още веднъж и кажи: Така казва Господ на Силите: Градовете Ми още ще преливат от благосъстояние; и Господ още ще утеши Сион и пак ще избере Йерусалим. Видение за четири рога и четирима ковачи

18 T hen I raised my eyes and looked, and there were four horns.

И като повдигнах очите си, видях четири рога.

19 A nd I said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these?” So he answered me, “These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

И казах на ангела, който говореше с мене: Какви са тези рогове ? А той ми отговори: Това са роговете, които разпръснаха Юдея, Израел и Йерусалим.

20 T hen the Lord showed me four craftsmen.

Тогава Господ ми показа четирима ковачи.

21 A nd I said, “What are these coming to do?” So he said, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one could lift up his head; but the craftsmen are coming to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.”

Попитах: Какво са дошли да правят тези? И Той отговори: Онези са роговете, които разпръснаха Юдея, така че никой не повдигаше главата си; но тези са дошли да ги уплашат и да повалят роговете на народите, които повдигнаха рог против Юдейската земя, за да я разпръснат.
