1 H ow amiable are thy tabernacles, O Jehovah of hosts!

¡Cuán amables son tus moradas, oh SEÑOR de los ejércitos!

2 M y soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of Jehovah; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Codicia y aun ardientemente desea mi alma los atrios del SEÑOR; mi corazón y mi carne cantan al Dios vivo.

3 Y ea, the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she layeth her young, thine altars, O Jehovah of hosts, my King and my God.

Aun el gorrión halla casa, y la golondrina nido para sí, donde ponga sus pollos en tus altares, oh SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Rey mío, y Dios mío.

4 B lessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be constantly praising thee. Selah.

Dichosos los que habitan en tu Casa; perpetuamente te alabarán (Selah.)

5 B lessed is the man whose strength is in thee,—they, in whose heart are the highways.

Dichoso el hombre que tiene su fortaleza en ti; en cuyo corazón están tus caminos.

6 P assing through the valley of Baca, they make it a well-spring; yea, the early rain covereth it with blessings.

Cuando pasaren por el valle de Abaca lo tornarán en fuente, la lluvia también llenará las cisternas.

7 T hey go from strength to strength: will appear before God in Zion.

Irán en gran multitud y en orden, verán a Dios en Sion.

8 J ehovah, God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

¶ SEÑOR Dios de los ejércitos, oye mi oración; escucha, oh Dios de Jacob (Selah.)

9 B ehold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

Mira, oh Dios, escudo nuestro, y pon los ojos en el rostro de tu Ungido.

10 F or a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Porque mejor es un día en tus atrios que mil fuera de ellos; escogí antes estar a la puerta en la Casa de mi Dios, que habitar en las moradas de maldad.

11 F or Jehovah Elohim is a sun and shield: Jehovah will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Porque sol y escudo nos es el SEÑOR Dios; gracia y gloria dará el SEÑOR; no quitará el bien a los que andan en integridad.

12 J ehovah of hosts, blessed is the man that confideth in thee!

SEÑOR de los ejércitos, dichoso el hombre que confía en ti.
