1 A nd after this it came to pass that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and its towns out of the hand of the Philistines.

También hirió a Moab; y los moabitas fueron siervos de David trayéndole presentes.

3 A nd David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah, at Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.

Asimismo hirió David a Hadad-ezer rey de Soba, en Hamat, yendo él a asegurar su dominio al río Eufrates.

4 A nd David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David houghed all the chariot, but reserved of them a hundred chariots.

Y les tomó David mil carros, y siete mil caballos, y veinte mil hombres de a pie; y desjarretó David los caballos de todos los carros, excepto los de cien carros que dejó.

5 A nd the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, and David smote of the Syrians twenty-two thousand men.

Y viniendo Siria, la de Damasco, en ayuda de Hadad-ezer rey de Soba, David hirió de los sirios veintidós mil varones.

6 A nd David put in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, brought gifts. And Jehovah preserved David whithersoever he went.

Y puso David guarnición en Siria, la de Damasco, y los sirios fueron hechos siervos de David, trayéndole presentes; porque el SEÑOR salvaba a David dondequiera que iba.

7 A nd David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

Tomó también David los escudos de oro que llevaban los siervos de Hadad-ezer, y los trajo a Jerusalén.

8 A nd from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much brass, of which Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.

Asimismo de Tibhat y de Cun ciudades de Hadad-ezer, tomó David muchísimo bronce, con el que Salomón hizo el mar de bronce, las columnas, y los vasos de bronce.

9 A nd Tou king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the forces of Hadarezer king of Zobah;

Y oyendo Toi rey de Hamat, que David había deshecho todo el ejército de Hadad-ezer, rey de Soba,

10 a nd he sent Hadoram his son to king David to inquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer and smitten him; for Hadarezer was continually at war with Tou; also all manner of vessels of gold and silver and bronze.

envió a Adoram su hijo al rey David, a saludarle y a bendecirle por haber peleado con Hadad-ezer, y haberle vencido; porque Toi tenía guerra con Hadad-ezer. Y le envió toda suerte de vasos de oro, de plata y de bronce;

11 T hem also king David dedicated to Jehovah, with the silver and the gold that he had brought from all the nations: from the Edomites, and from the Moabites, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from the Amalekites.

los cuales el rey David dedicó al SEÑOR, con la plata y el oro que había tomado de todos estos gentiles, de Edom, de Moab, de los hijos de Hamón, de los filisteos, y de Amalec.

12 A nd Abishai the son of Zeruiah smote of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.

También Abisai hijo de Sarvia hirió a Edom en el valle de la Sal a dieciocho mil hombres.

13 A nd he put garrisons in Edom; and all they of Edom became servants to David. And Jehovah preserved David whithersoever he went.

Y puso guarnición en Edom, y todos los idumeos fueron siervos de David; porque el SEÑOR guardaba a David dondequiera que iba.

14 A nd David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice to all his people.

Y reinó David sobre todo Israel, y hacía juicio y justicia a todo su pueblo.

15 A nd Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was chronicler;

Y Joab hijo de Sarvia era general del ejército; y Josafat hijo de Ahilud, escritor de crónicas;

16 a nd Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;

y Sadoc hijo de Ahitob, y Abimelec hijo de Abiatar, eran sacerdotes; y Savsa, escriba;

17 a nd Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were the first at the king's hand.

y Benaía hijo de Joiada era sobre los cereteos y peleteos; y los hijos de David eran los primeros, a la mano del rey.
