1 A nd Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai in the tent of meeting, on the first of the second month, in the second year after their departure from the land of Egypt, saying,

¶ Y habló el SEÑOR a Moisés en el desierto de Sinaí, en el tabernáculo del testimonio, en el primero del mes segundo, en el segundo año de su salida de la tierra de Egipto, diciendo:

2 T ake the sum of the whole assembly of the children of Israel, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, every male, according to their polls;

Tomad la lista de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel por sus familias, por las casas de sus padres, con la cuenta de los nombres, todos los varones por sus cabezas.

3 f rom twenty years and upward, all that go forth to military service in Israel: ye shall number them according to their hosts, thou and Aaron.

De veinte años arriba, todos los que pueden salir a la guerra en Israel, los contaréis tú y Aarón por sus ejércitos.

4 A nd with you there shall be a man for every tribe, a man who is the head of his father's house.

Y estarán con vosotros varones de cada tribu, cada uno cabeza de la casa de sus padres.

5 A nd these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: for Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;

Y éstos son los nombres de los varones que estarán con vosotros: De la tribu de Rubén, Elisur hijo de Sedeur.

6 f or Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;

De Simeón, Selumiel hijo de Zurisadai.

7 f or Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;

De Judá, Naasón hijo de Aminadab.

8 f or Issachar, Nethaneel the son of Zuar;

De Isacar, Natanael hijo de Zuar.

9 f or Zebulun, Eliab the son of Helon;

De Zabulón, Eliab hijo de Helón.

10 f or the children of Joseph: for Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; for Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;

De los hijos de José: de Efraín, Elisama hijo de Amiud; de Manasés, Gamaliel hijo de Pedasur.

11 f or Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni;

De Benjamín, Abidán hijo de Gedeoni.

12 f or Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;

De Dan, Ahiezer hijo de Amisadai.

13 f or Asher, Pagiel the son of Ocran;

De Aser, Pagiel hijo de Ocrán.

14 f or Gad, Eliasaph the son of Deuel;

De Gad, Eliasaf hijo de Deuel.

15 f or Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan.

De Neftalí, Ahira hijo de Enán.

16 T hese were those summoned of the assembly, princes of the tribes of their fathers, the heads of the thousands of Israel.

Estos eran los nombrados de la congregación, príncipes de las tribus de sus padres, capitanes de los millares de Israel.

17 A nd Moses and Aaron took these men who are expressed by their names,

18 a nd gathered the whole assembly together on the first of the second month. And they declared their pedigrees after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, according to their polls.

y juntaron a toda la congregación en el primero del mes segundo, y fueron reunidos por sus linajes, por las casas de sus padres, según la cuenta de los nombres, de veinte años arriba, por sus cabezas,

19 A s Jehovah had commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

como el SEÑOR lo había mandado a Moisés; y los contó en el desierto de Sinaí.

20 A nd the sons of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, according to their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

Y los hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel, por sus generaciones, por sus familias, por las casas de sus padres, conforme a la cuenta de los nombres por sus cabezas, todos los varones de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

21 t hose that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand five hundred.

los contados de ellos, de la tribu de Rubén, fueron cuarenta y seis mil quinientos.

22 O f the sons of Simeon: their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, those that were numbered of them, by the number of the names, according to their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

De los hijos de Simeón, por sus generaciones, por sus familias, por las casas de sus padres, los contados de él conforme a la cuenta de los nombres por sus cabezas, todos los varones de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

23 t hose that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.

24 O f the sons of Gad: their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

25 t hose that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.

43 t hose that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.

44 T hese are those that were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, the twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.

¶ Estos fueron los contados, los cuales contaron Moisés y Aarón y los doce varones príncipes de Israel, un varón por cada casa de sus padres.

45 A nd all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, according to their fathers' houses, from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service in Israel,

Y fueron todos los contados de los hijos de Israel por las casas de sus padres, de veinte años arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra en Israel;

46 a ll they that were numbered were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.

fueron todos los contados seiscientos tres mil quinientos cincuenta.

47 B ut the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

¶ Pero los levitas, según la tribu de sus padres, no fueron contados entre ellos.

48 F or Jehovah had spoken to Moses, saying,

Porque habló el SEÑOR a Moisés, diciendo:

49 O nly thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel.

Solamente no contarás la tribu de Leví, ni tomarás la cuenta de ellos entre los hijos de Israel;

50 B ut thou, appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all its vessels; and they shall serve it, and round about the tabernacle shall they encamp;

mas tú pondrás a los levitas en el tabernáculo del testimonio, y sobre todos sus vasos, y sobre todas las cosas que les pertenecen; ellos llevarán el tabernáculo y todos sus vasos, y ellos servirán en él, y acamparán sus tiendas alrededor del tabernáculo.

51 a nd when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle encampeth, the Levites shall set it up; and the stranger that cometh near shall be put to death.

Y cuando el tabernáculo partiere, los levitas lo desarmarán; y cuando el tabernáculo parare, los levitas lo armarán; y el extraño que se acercare, morirá.

52 A nd the children of Israel shall encamp every man in his camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their hosts;

Y los hijos de Israel acamparán sus tiendas cada uno en su escuadrón, y cada uno junto a su estandarte, por sus ejércitos;

53 b ut the Levites shall encamp round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there come not wrath upon the assembly of the children of Israel; and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

mas los levitas acamparán las suyas alrededor del tabernáculo del testimonio, para que no haya ira sobre la congregación de los hijos de Israel; y los levitas tendrán la guarda del tabernáculo del testimonio.

54 A nd the children of Israel did so; according to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses, so did they.

E hicieron los hijos de Israel conforme a todas las cosas que mandó el SEÑOR a Moisés; así lo hicieron.
