1 A nd it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in the house of Jehovah, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

Y aconteció en el mismo año, en el principio del reinado de Sedequías rey de Judá, en el año cuarto, en el quinto mes, que Hananías, hijo de Azur, profeta que era de Gabaón, me habló en la Casa del SEÑOR delante de los sacerdotes y de todo el pueblo, diciendo:

2 T hus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

Así habló el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, diciendo: Quebranté el yugo del rey de Babilonia.

3 W ithin two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of Jehovah's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried to Babylon;

Dentro de dos años de días tornaré a este lugar todos los vasos de la Casa del SEÑOR, que Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, llevó de este lugar para meterlos en Babilonia;

4 a nd I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah that went to Babylon, saith Jehovah: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

y yo tornaré a este lugar a Jeconías hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, y a todos los transportados de Judá que entraron en Babilonia, dice el SEÑOR; porque yo quebrantaré el yugo del rey de Babilonia.

5 A nd the prophet Jeremiah spoke unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of Jehovah.

Y dijo Jeremías profeta a Hananías profeta, delante de los sacerdotes y delante de todo el pueblo que estaba en la Casa del SEÑOR.

6 A nd the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen, may Jehovah do so! may Jehovah perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again from Babylon, into this place, the vessels of Jehovah's house, and all them of the captivity!

Dijo pues Jeremías profeta: Amén, así lo haga el SEÑOR. Confirme el SEÑOR tus palabras, con las cuales profetizaste que los vasos de la Casa del SEÑOR, y todos los transportados, han de ser tornados de Babilonia a este lugar.

7 N evertheless, hear, I pray thee, this word which I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people:

Con todo eso, oye ahora esta palabra que yo hablo en tus oídos y en los oídos de todo el pueblo:

8 T he prophets that have been before me and before thee of old, prophesied also concerning many countries and concerning great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.

Los profetas que fueron antes de mí y antes de ti en tiempos pasados, profetizaron sobre muchas tierras y grandes reinos, de guerra, y de aflicción, y de pestilencia.

9 T he prophet that prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, shall be known as the prophet whom Jehovah hath really sent.

El profeta que profetizó de paz, cuando sobreviniere la palabra del profeta, será conocido como el profeta que el SEÑOR en verdad envió.

10 A nd the prophet Hananiah took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and broke it.

Y Hananías profeta quitó el yugo del cuello de Jeremías profeta, y lo quebró,

11 A nd Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: So will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.

Y habló Hananías en presencia de todo el pueblo, diciendo: Así dijo el SEÑOR: De esta manera quebraré el yugo de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, del cuello de todos los gentiles dentro de dos años de días. Y siguió Jeremías su camino.

12 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto Jeremiah, after that the prophet Hananiah had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

Y después que Hananías profeta quebró el yugo del cuello de Jeremías profeta, vino palabra del SEÑOR a Jeremías, diciendo:

13 G o and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith Jehovah: Thou hast broken the yokes of wood, and thou hast made in their place yokes of iron.

Ve, y habla a Hananías, diciendo: Así dijo el SEÑOR: Yugos de madera quebraste, mas en vez de ellos harás yugos de hierro.

14 F or thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.

Porque así dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Yugo de hierro puse sobre el cuello de todos estos gentiles, para que sirvan a Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, y le servirán; y aun también le he dado las bestias del campo.

15 A nd the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah, Hear now, Hananiah: Jehovah hath not sent thee; and thou makest this people to trust in falsehood.

Entonces dijo Jeremías profeta a Hananías profeta: Ahora oye, Hananías; el SEÑOR no te envió, y tú hiciste a este pueblo confiar en mentira.

16 T herefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, for thou hast spoken revolt against Jehovah.

Por tanto, así dijo el SEÑOR: He aquí que yo te envío de sobre la faz de la tierra; y en este año morirás, porque hablaste rebelión contra el SEÑOR.

17 A nd the prophet Hananiah died in the same year in the seventh month.

Y en el mismo año murió Hananías en el mes séptimo.
