Alaba, oh alma mía, al SEÑOR.

2 A s long as I live will I praise Jehovah; I will sing psalms unto my God while I have my being.

Alabaré al SEÑOR en mi vida; diré salmos a mi Dios mientras viviere.

3 P ut not confidence in nobles, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.

No confiéis en los príncipes, ni en hijo de hombre, porque no hay en él salvación.

4 H is breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his purposes perish.

Saldrá su espíritu, se volverá en su tierra; en aquel día perecerán todos sus pensamientos.

5 B lessed is he who hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah his God,

¶ Dichoso aquel en cuya ayuda es el Dios de Jacob, cuya esperanza es en el SEÑOR su Dios;

6 W ho made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is therein; who keepeth truth for ever;

el cual hizo los cielos y la tierra, el mar, y todo lo que en ellos hay; el que guarda verdad para siempre;

7 W ho executeth judgment for the oppressed, who giveth bread to the hungry. Jehovah looseth the prisoners;

el que hace derecho a los agraviados; el que da pan a los hambrientos; el SEÑOR, el que suelta a los aprisionados;

8 J ehovah openeth the blind; Jehovah raiseth up them that are bowed down; Jehovah loveth the righteous;

el SEÑOR es el que abre los ojos a los ciegos; el SEÑOR, el que endereza a los agobiados; el SEÑOR, el que ama a los justos.

9 J ehovah preserveth the strangers; he lifteth up the fatherless and the widow; but the way of the wicked doth he subvert.

El SEÑOR, el que guarda a los extranjeros; al huérfano y a la viuda levanta; y el camino de los impíos trastorna.

10 J ehovah will reign for ever, thy God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Halleluiah!
