1 H ow amiable are thy tabernacles, O Jehovah of hosts!

ما أروَعَ هَيكَلَكَ أيُّها الإلَهُ القَدِيرُ!

2 M y soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of Jehovah; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

أتُوقُ وَأشتاقُ إلَى أنْ أكُونَ فِي ساحَةِ بَيتِ اللهِ. يَهتِفُ عَقلِي وَجَسَدِي فَرَحاً بِالإلَهِ الحَيِّ.

3 Y ea, the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she layeth her young, thine altars, O Jehovah of hosts, my King and my God.

أيُّها الإلَهُ القَدِيرُ، يا إلَهِي وَمَلِكِي، حَتَّى العَصافِيرُ وَجَدَتْ لَها بَيتاً هُنا عَلَى الجَبَلِ المُقَدَّسِ، وَالسُّنُونُواتُ مَكاناً لأعشاشِها، مَكاناً تُرَبِّي فِيهِ صِغارَها قُرْبَ مَذْبَحِكَ.

4 B lessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be constantly praising thee. Selah.

هَنِيئاً لِمَنْ يَسكُنُونَ بَيتَكَ، لِأنَّهُمْ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمدِكَ! سِلاهْ

5 B lessed is the man whose strength is in thee,—they, in whose heart are the highways.

هَنِيئاً لِمَنْ مِنكَ قُوَّتُهُمْ عَزَمُوا عَلَى أنْ يَشُقٌّوا طَرِيقَهُمْ إلَى هَيكَلِكَ

6 P assing through the valley of Baca, they make it a well-spring; yea, the early rain covereth it with blessings.

يَعبُرُونَ وادِي البُكاءِ، جاعِلِينَ بِرَكَ مِياهِ الخَرِيفِ مَصدَرَ مائِهِمْ.

7 T hey go from strength to strength: will appear before God in Zion.

مِنْ بَلْدَةٍ إلَى بَلْدَةٍ يَرتَحِلُونَ لِيَمْثُلُوا فِي حَضْرَةِ اللهِ عَلَى جَبَلِ صِهْيَوْنَ.

8 J ehovah, God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

أيُّها الإلَهُ القَدِيرُ، اسْمَعْ صَلاتِي! أصْغِ إلَيَّ يا إلَهَ يَعْقُوبَ. سِلاهْ

9 B ehold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

يا اللهُ احمِ حامِينا المَلِكَ، وَاحْرُسْ مَلِكَكَ المُختارَ.

10 F or a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

يَومٌ واحِدٌ فِي ساحَةِ هَيكَلِكَ خَيرٌ مِنْ ألفِ يَومٍ فِي أيِّ مَكانٍ آخَرَ! أُفَضِلُّ أنْ أقِفَ بَوّاباً فِي بَيتِ إلَهِي عَلَى أنْ أسكُنَ فِي بَيتِ الشِّرِّيرِ.

11 F or Jehovah Elohim is a sun and shield: Jehovah will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

اللهُ شَمسِي وَتُرسِي. يُعطِيني مَجداً وَكَرامَةً. لا يَمنَعُ اللهُ شَيئاً صالِحاً عَنِ الَّذِينَ يَعِيشُونَ فِي طَهارَةٍ.

12 J ehovah of hosts, blessed is the man that confideth in thee!

أيُّها الإلَهُ القَدِيرُ، هَنِيئاً لِمَنْ يَتَّكِلُ عَلَيكَ.
