1 A nd it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, to take heed to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that Jehovah thy God will set thee supreme above all nations of the earth;

«إن أطَعْتُم إلَهَكَمْ بِحِفظِ جَمِيعِ وَصاياهِ الَّتِي أُوصِيكُمْ بِها اليَومَ، فَإنَّ إلَهَكُمْ سَيَجعَلُكُمْ أعظَمَ مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَمِ الأرْضِ.

2 a nd all these blessings shall come on thee and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God.

وَسَتَأتِي كُلُّ هَذِهِ البَرَكاتِ عَلَيْكُمْ إنْ أطَعْتُمْ وَصايا إلَهِكُمْ:

3 B lessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

«تَكُونُونَ مُبارَكِينَ فِي المَدِينَةِ، وَمُبارَكِينَ فِي الحَقلِ.

4 B lessed shall be the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the offspring of thy kine, and the increase of thy sheep.

وَيَكُونُ أولادُكُمْ مُبارَكِينَ، وَمَحاصِيلُكُمْ مُبارَكَةً، وَأبْكارُ حَيواناتِكُمْ مُبارَكَةً، وَعُجُولُكُمْ وَحِملانُكُمْ مُبارَكَةً.

5 B lessed shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough.

وَسِلالُكُمْ وَمَعاجِنُكُمْ مُبارَكَةً.

6 B lessed shalt thou be in thy coming in, and blessed shalt thou be in thy going out.

مُبارَكِينَ تَكُونُونَ حِينَ تَدخُلُونَ، وَمُبارَكِينَ حِينَ تَخرُجُونَ.

7 J ehovah will give up, smitten before thee, thine enemies that rise up against thee; they shall come out against thee one way, and by seven ways shall they flee before thee.

«وَسَيُعينُكُمُ اللهُ فِي هَزِيمَةِ أعدائِكُمْ حِينَ يَهجُمُونَ عَلَيكُمْ. سَيَهْجُمُونَ عَلَيكُمْ مِنِ اتِّجاهٍ واحِدٍ، لِكَنْ سَيَهرُبُونَ فِي سَبعَةِ اتِّجاهاتٍ.

8 J ehovah will command blessing on thee in thy granaries, and in all the business of thy hand; and he will bless thee in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.

«وَسَيُبارِكُكُمُ اللهُ بِمَخازِنَ مَملُوءَةٍ، وَسَيُبارِكُ كُلَّ شَيءٍ تَفعَلُونَهُ. سَيُبارِكُكُمُ اللهُ فِي الأرْضِ الَّتِي سَيُعطِيها لَكُمْ.

9 J ehovah will establish thee unto himself a holy people as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou keep the commandments of Jehovah thy God, and walk in his ways.

وَسَيَجعَلُكُمْ اللهُ شَعباً مُقَدَّساً وَخاصّاً لَهُ، كَما أقسَمَ لَكُمْ، إنْ أطَعتُمْ وَصايا إلَهِكُمْ وَعِشتُمْ كَما يُرِيدُ لَكُمْ أنْ تَعِيشُوا.

10 A nd all peoples of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of Jehovah, and they shall be afraid of thee.

حِينَئِذٍ، سَتَرَى كُلُّ شُعُوبِ الأرْضِ أنَّكُمْ شَعبٌ مَدعُوٌّ بِاسْمِ اللهِ ، وَأنَّهُ هُوَ حامِيكُمْ، فَيَخافُونَ مَنكُمْ.

11 A nd Jehovah will give thee abundance of good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land that Jehovah swore unto thy fathers to give thee.

«وَسَيُنجِحُكُمُ اللهُ بِشَكلٍ عَظِيمٍ، فَيُعطِيكُمْ أولاداً كَثِيرِينَ، وَنَسلاً كَثِيراً لِحَيواناتِكُمْ وَمَحصُولاً عَظِيماً فِي أرْضِكُمُ الَّتِي أقسَمَ اللهُ لآبائِكُمْ أنْ يُعطِيَها لَكُمْ.

12 J ehovah will open to thee his good treasure, the heavens, to give rain unto thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thy hand; and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow.

وَسَيَفتَحُ اللهُ لَكُمْ مَخازِنَ بَرَكاتِهِ السَّماوِيَّةِ، فَيُعطِي مَطَراً لِأرضِكُمْ فِي الوَقتِ المُناسِبِ، وَيُبارِكُكُمْ فِي كُلِّ ما تَعمَلُونَ. وَسَيَكُونُ لَدَيكُمْ مالٌ لِتُقرِضُوا الأُمَمَ الأُخرَى، وَأنتُمْ لَنْ تَقتَرِضُوا.

13 A nd Jehovah will make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if thou hearken unto the commandments of Jehovah thy God, which I command thee this day, to keep and to do them,

وَيَجعَلُكُمْ اللهُ رَأساً لا ذَنَباً. وَتَكُونُونَ فِي القِمَّةِ لا فِي القاعِ. هَذا إنْ أطَعْتُمْ وَصايا إلَهِكُمْ الَّتِي أُوصِيكُمْ بِها اليَومَ، وَحَفِظتُمُوها بِحِرصٍ،

14 a nd if thou turn not aside from any of the words that I command thee this day, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

وَلَمْ تَنحَرِفُوا يَمِيناً أوْ يَساراً عَنْ كَلِماتِي الَّتِي أُوصِيكُمْ بِها اليَومَ، فَلَمْ تَتبَعُوا آلِهَةً أُخْرَى لِتَعبُدُوها. لَعْناتُ عِصيانِ الشَّرِيعَة

15 B ut it shall come to pass if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, to take heed to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day, that all these curses shall come upon thee and overtake thee.

«وَلَكِنْ إنْ لَمْ تُطِيعُوا إلَهَكَمْ ، وَلَمْ تَحرِصُوا عَلَى حِفظِ كُلِّ وَصاياهُ وَشَرائِعَهُ الَّتِي أُوصِيكُمْ بِها اليَومَ، سَتَأتِي عَلَيكُمْ كُلُّ هَذِهِ الَّلَعْناتِ:

16 C ursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

«مَلعُونِينَ تَكُونُونَ فِي المَدِينَةِ، وَمَلعُونِينَ فِي الحَقلِ.

17 C ursed shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough.

تَكُونُ سِلالُكُمْ وَمَعاجِنُكُمْ مَلعُونَةً.

18 C ursed shall be the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy ground, the offspring of thy kine, and the increase of thy sheep.

وَأولادُكُمْ وَمَحاصِيلُكُمْ وَعُجُولُ بَقَرِكُمْ وَحِملانُ غَنَمِكُمْ مَلعُونَةً.

19 C ursed shalt thou be in thy coming in, and cursed shalt thou be in thy going out.

مَلعُونِينَ تَكُونُونَ حِينَ تَدخُلُونَ، وَمَلعُونِينَ حِينَ تَخرُجُونَ.

20 J ehovah will send upon thee cursing, confusion, and rebuke, in all the business of thy hand which thou doest, until thou be destroyed and until thou perish quickly, because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.

«وَيُرسِلُ اللهُ عَلَيكُمْ لَعنَةً وَاضْطِراباً وَإحْباطاً فِي كُلِّ شَيءٍ تُحاوِلُونَ عَمَلَهُ، حَتَّى تَهلِكُوا وَتَفنُوا سَرِيعاً بِسَبَبِ أعْمالِكُمُ الشِّرِّيرَةِ، إذْ تَرَكْتُمْ اللهَ.

21 J ehovah will make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.

وَيُصِيبُكُمُ اللهُ بِمَرَضٍ مُرعِبٍ، فَيُبِيدُكُمْ مِنَ الأرْضِ الَّتِي تَدخُلُونَ إلَيها لِتَمتَلِكُوها.

22 J ehovah will smite thee with consumption, and with fever, and with inflammation, and with burning ague, and with drought, and with blight, and with mildew, and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

وَيُعاقِبُكُمُ اللهُ بِالحُمَّى وَالانتِفاخِ وَالحَرارَةِ وَالجَفافِ وَالرِّياحِ الحارِقَةِ وَاليَرَقانِ، إلَى أنْ تَهلِكُوا.

23 A nd thy heavens which are over thy head shall be brass, and the earth which is under thee, iron.

وَسَتَكُونُ السَّماءُ كَالبُرونْزِ فَوقَ رُؤُوسِكُمْ، وَتَكُونُ الأرْضُ مِنْ تَحتِكُمْ كَالحَدِيدِ.

24 J ehovah will give as the rain of thy land powder and dust; from the heavens shall it come down upon thee until thou be destroyed.

وَيُحَوِّلُ اللهُ مَطَرَ أرْضِكُمْ إلَى غُبارٍ يَنزِلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ إلَى أنْ تَبِيدُوا.

25 J ehovah will give thee up smitten before thine enemies; thou shalt go out against them one way, and by seven ways shalt thou flee before them; and thou shalt be driven hither and thither into all the kingdoms of the earth.

«وَسَيَجعَلُكُمُ اللهُ تُهزَمُونَ أمامَ أعدائِكُمْ. تَخرُجُونَ ضِدَّهُمْ مِنَ اتِّجاهٍ واحِدٍ، لَكِنَّكُمْ سَتَهرُبُونَ مِنهُمْ فِي سَبعَةِ اتِّجاهاتٍ. وَيَخافُ كُلُّ سُكّانِ الأرْضِ حِينَ يَرَونَ الشُّرُورَ الَّتِي حَدَثَتْ لَكُمْ.

26 A nd thy carcase shall be meat unto all the fowl of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and there shall be no man to scare them away.

وَتَكُونُ جُثَثُكُمْ طَعاماً لِكُلِّ طُيُورِ السَّماءِ وَحَيواناتِ الأرْضِ، وَلَنْ يَكُونَ هُناكَ مَنْ يُخيفُها.

27 J ehovah will smite thee with the ulcers of Egypt, and with boils, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.

«وَيُعاقِبُكُمُ اللهُ بِالقُرُوحِ وَالدَّمامِلِ، كَما ضَرَبَ المِصْرِيِّينَ بِالقُرُوحِ وَالبَواسِيرِ وَالجَرَبِ وَالحَكَّةِ الَّتِي لا شِفاءَ مِنها.

28 J ehovah will smite thee with madness, and with blindness, and with astonishment of heart;

وَيُصِيبُكُمُ اللهُ بِالجُنُونِ وَالعَمَى وَالتَّشوِيشِ،

29 a nd thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways; and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled continually, and there shall be none to save.

فَتَتَلَمَّسُونَ طَرِيقَكُمْ فِي ضَوْءِ النَّهارِ كَالأعمَى الَّذِي يَتَلَمَّسُ طَرِيقَهُ فِي الظَّلامِ، وَتَفشَلُونَ فِي كُلِّ ما تَفعَلُونَهُ، وَلَيسَ مَنْ يُنقِذُكُمْ أوْ يُساعِدُكُمْ.

30 T hou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her; thou shalt build a house, and thou shalt not dwell therein; thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not eat of it.

«يَخطِبُ أحَدُكُمُ امْرأةً، وَرَجُلٌ آخَرَ يَغتَصِبُها. تَبنِي بَيتاً وَلا تَسكُنُ فِيهِ، وَتَزرَعُ كَرماً وَلا تَتَمَتَّعُ بِثَمَرِهِ.

31 T hine ox shall be slaughtered before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof; thine ass shall be snatched away from before thy face, and shall not return to thee; thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to recover them.

يُذْبَحُ ثَورُكَ أمامَكَ، وَلا تَأكُلُ مِنْهُ. وَيُسْرَقُ حِمارُكَ أمامَكَ، وَلا يُعادُ لَكَ. سَتُعطِي غَنَمَكَ لِأعدائِكَ، وَلَنْ تَجِدَ مَنْ يُنقِذُكَ وَيُساعِدُكُ.

32 T hy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and languish for them all the day long; and there shall be no power in thy hand.

«سَيُعطَى أولادُكَ وَبَناتُكَ لِشَعبٍ آخَرَ، فَتَكِلُّ عَيناكَ وَهُما تَنتَظِرانِ عَودَتَهُمْ. لَكِنَّكَ لَنْ تَستَطِيعَ فِعلَ شَيءٍ.

33 T he fruit of thy ground and all thy labour, shall a people that thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed continually.

«شَعبٌ لا تَعرِفُهُ سَيَأْكُلُ مَحاصِيلَكَ وَكُلَّ ما تَعِبتَ فِي عَمَلِهِ. وَلَنْ تَجِدَ سِوَى سُوءِ المُعامَلَةِ وَالاستِغلالِ دائِماً.

34 A nd thou shalt be mad through the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

وَسَتُصابُ بِالجُنُونِ بِسَبَبِ ما تَراهُ.

35 J ehovah will smite thee in the knees and in the legs with evil ulcers, whereof thou canst not be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.

وَسَيَضرِبُكُ اللهُ بِقُرُوحٍ مُؤلِمَةٍ عَلَى رُكبَتَيكَ وَساقَيكَ. وَلا تَجِدُ لَها شِفاءً مِنْ أسْفَلِ قَدَمِكَ إلَى أعلَى رَأسِكَ.

36 J ehovah will bring thee, and thy king whom thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation that neither thou nor thy fathers have known, and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.

«سَيُرسِلُكُمُ اللهُ ، أنتُمْ وَمَلِكَكُمُ الَّذِي اختَرتُمُوهُ، إلَى أُمَّةٍ لَمْ تَعرِفُوها، وَلَمْ يَعرِفْها آباؤكُمْ مِنْ قَبلِكُمْ. وَهُناكَ سَتَعبُدُونَ وَتَخدِمُونَ آلِهَةً أُخْرَى مَصنُوعَةً مِنَ الخَشَبِ وَالحَجَرِ.

37 A nd thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all the peoples whither Jehovah shall lead thee.

فَيَرتَعِبُ النّاسُ مِنَ الشُّرُورِ الَّتِي سَتَحدُثُ لَكُمْ، وَيَضحَكُونَ عَلَيكُمْ، وَيَستَهزِئُونَ بِكُمْ بَينَ الأُمَمِ حَيثُ سَيَأخُذُكُمْ اللهُ. لَعْنَةُ الفَشَل

38 T hou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather little in; for the locust shall devour it.

«تَزرَعُونَ كَثِيراً فِي حُقُولِكُمْ، لَكِنَّكُمْ سَتَحصُدُونَ القَلِيلَ، لِأنَّ الجَرادَ سَيَأكُلُهُ.

39 T hou shalt plant and till vineyards, but shalt drink no wine, nor gather; for the worms shall eat it.

تَزرَعُونَ كُرُوماً وَتَتْعَبُونَ فِيها، وَلَنْ تَشرَبُوا نَبيذَها، وَلَنْ تَجمَعُوا عِنَبَها، لِأنَّ الدُّودَ سَيَأكُلُها.

40 O live-trees shalt thou have throughout all thy borders, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with oil; for thine olive-tree shall cast its fruit.

وَيَكُونُ لَدَيكُمْ أشجارُ زَيتُونٍ فِي كُلِّ أرْضِكُمْ، لَكِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَتَدَهَّنُوا بِزَيتٍ لِأنَّ الزَّيتُونَ سَيَسقُطُ وَيَتَناثَرُ وَيَتَعَفَّنُ.

41 S ons and daughters shalt thou beget, but thou shalt not have them; for they shall go into captivity.

تُنْجِبُونَ أبناءً وَبَناتٍ وَلا تَحْتَفِظُونَ بِهِمْ لِأنَّهُمْ سَيُؤْخَذُونَ إلَى السَّبْيِ.

42 A ll thy trees and the fruit of thy ground shall the locust possess.

يَلتَهِمُ الجَرادُ وَالحَشَراتُ أشجارَكُمْ وَمَحاصِيلَكُمْ.

43 T he sojourner that is in thy midst shall rise above thee higher and higher, and thou shalt sink down lower and lower.

«تَزدادُ سُلطَةُ الغَرِيبِ السّاكِنِ فِي وَسَطِكُمْ، بَينَما تَتَناقَصُ سُلطَتُكُمْ.

44 H e shall lend to thee, but thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.

تَقْتَرِضُونَ مِنَ الغَرِيبِ، وَلا تُقْرِضُونَهُ. يُصبِحُ هُوَ الرَّأسُ وَأنتُمُ الذَّنَبُ.

45 A nd all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, until thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee.

«فَإذا لَمْ تُطِيعُوا إلَهَكُمْ ، بِحِفْظِ وَصاياهُ وَشَرائِعِهِ الَّتِي أوصاكُمْ بِها، سَتَحِلُّ كُلُّ هَذِهِ الَّلَعْناتِ عَلَيكُمْ، وَتُلاحِقُكُمْ باستِمرارٍ، وَتُمسِكَ بِكُمْ حَتَّى تُهلِكَكُمْ.

46 A nd they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

وَتَكُونُ فِي وَسَطِكُمْ وَوَسَطِ نَسلِكُمْ عَلامَةً وَنَذِيراً إلَى الأبَدِ.

47 B ecause thou servedst not Jehovah thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything,

«وَلِأنَّكُمْ لَمْ تَعبُدُوا إلَهَكُمْ وَلَمْ تَخدِمُوهُ بَفَرَحٍ وَسُرُورٍ عِندَما تَوَفَّرَ لَكُمْ كُلُّ شَيءٍ،

48 t hou shalt serve thine enemies whom Jehovah will send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of everything; and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

فَإنَّكُمْ سَتَخدِمُونَ أعداءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ سَيُرسِلُهُمْ اللهُ ضِدَّكُمْ، وَأنتُمْ فِي جُوعٍ وَعَطَشٍ وَعُرْيٍ وَنَقصٍ فِي كُلِّ شَيءٍ. وَسَيَضَعُ عَلَى رِقَابِكُمْ نِيْراً مِنْ حَدِيدٍ حَتَّى يُحَطِّمَكُمْ. لَعنَةُ جَلبِ أُمَّةٍ غَرِيبَة

49 J ehovah will bring a nation against thee from afar, from the end of the earth, like as the eagle flieth, a nation whose tongue thou understandest not;

«وَسَيَجلِبُ اللهُ ضِدَّكُمْ أُمَّةً مِنْ بَعِيدٍ، مِنْ أقْصَى الأرْضِ. أُمَّةً لا تَعْرِفُونَ لُغَتَها، فَتَهْجُمُ عَلَيكُمْ كَالنَّسرِ.

50 a nation of fierce countenance, which regardeth not the person of the old, nor is kind to the young;

وَتَكُونُ أُمَّةً قاسِيَةً لا تَحْتَرِمُ الكِبارَ، وَلا تَرْحَمُ الصِّغارَ.

51 a nd he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy ground, until thou be destroyed; for he shall not leave thee corn, new wine, or oil, offspring of thy kine, or increase of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.

وَسَتَأكُلُ صِغارَ حَيواناتِكُمْ وَمَحاصِيلَ أرْضِكُمْ إلَى أنْ تَهلِكُوا. وَلَنْ يَترُكُوا لَكُمْ قَمْحاً وَلا نَبيذاً وَلا زَيتاً وَلا عُجُولاً وَلا حِملاناً حَتَّى تُهلِكَكُمْ.

52 A nd he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and strong walls wherein thou trustedst come down, throughout all thy land; and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates in all thy land, which Jehovah thy God hath given thee.

وَسَتُحاصِرُكُمْ وَتُهاجِمُكُمْ فِي كُلِّ مُدُنِكُمْ إلَى أنْ تَسقُطَ أسوارُ المُدُنِ الحَصِينَةُ فِي كُلِّ أرْضِكُمْ وَمُدُنِكُمُ الَّتِي يُعطِيها إلَهُكُمْ لَكُمْ.

53 A nd in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee, thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters whom Jehovah thy God hath given thee.

«سَتَأكُلُونَ أطفالَكُمْ، وَلَحْمَ أبْنائِكُمْ وَبَناتِكُمُ الَّذِينَ أعطاهُمْ إلَهُكُمْ لَكُمْ، حِينَ يُحاصِرُونَكُمْ، وَيُسَبِّبُونَ لَكُمُ الضِّيقَ.

54 T he eye of the man in thy midst that is tender and very luxurious shall be evil towards his brother, and the wife of his bosom, and the residue of his children which he hath left;

وَأكثَرُ الرِّجالِ رِقَّةً وَرَفاهِيَّةً بَينَكُمْ سَيُصبِحُ بَخِيلاً نَحوَ أخِيهِ وَزَوجَتِهِ الَّتِي يُحِبُّها، وَما تَبَقَّى مِنْ أطْفالِهِ.

55 s o that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children that he eateth, because he hath nothing left him in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.

فَلا يُعْطِي أحَداً مَنْ لَحْمِ أبْنائِهِ الَّذِي يَأكُلُهُ، لِأنَّهُ لَمْ يَتَبَقَّ الكَثِيرُ لَهُ! هَذا حَينَ يُحاصِرُكُمُ الأعْداءُ وَيُسَبِّبُونَ لَكُمُ الضِّيقَ فِي كُلِّ مُدُنِكُمْ.

56 T he eye of the tender and luxurious woman in thy midst who would not attempt to set the sole of her foot upon the ground from luxuriousness and from tenderness, shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and her son, and her daughter,

وَأكثَرُ النِّساءِ رِقَّةً وَرَفاهِيَّةً بَينَكُمْ، وَالَّتِي لِشِدَّةِ تَنَعُّمِها وَرَفاهِيَّتِها لا تَدُوسُ الأرْضَ بِرِجلِها، سَتُصبِحُ بَخِيلَةً نَحوَ زَوجِها الَّذِي يُحِبُّها، وَنَحْوَ ابْنِها وَابْنَتِها.

57 b ecause of her afterbirth which hath come out between her feet, and her children whom she shall bear; for she shall secretly eat them for want of everything in the siege and in the straitness wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.

سَتَبْخَلُ بِالمَشِيمَةِ الّتِي تَخْرُجُ مِنْها، وَبِالأطْفالِ الّذينَ تَلِدْهُمْ، لأنَّها تأكُلُهُمْ فِي الخَفاءِ! إذْ لا يَكُونُ لَدَيها شَيءٌ آخَرٌ حَينَ يُحاصِرُكُمُ الأعداءُ، وَيُسَبِّبُونَ لَكُمُ الضِّيقَ فِي كُلَّ مُدُنِكُمْ.

58 I f thou wilt not take heed to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, to fear this glorious and fearful name, JEHOVAH THY GOD;

«إنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا حَرِيصِينَ عَلَى إطاعَةِ كُلِّ كَلامِ هَذِهِ الشَّرِيعَةِ المَكتُوبَةِ فِي هَذا الكِتابِ، وَلَمْ تَخافُوا وَتَحتَرِمُوا هَذِا الاسْمَ المَجِيدَ الرَّهِيبَ الرّائِعَ، اسْمَ يهوه إلَهِكُمْ،

59 t hen Jehovah will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, great and persistent plagues and evil and persistent sicknesses;

فَإنَّ اللهَ سَيَجلِبُ عُقُوباتٍ فَظِيعَةً وَغَيرَ عادِيَّةٍ، عُقُوباتٍ شَدِيدَةً وَمُزمِنَةً، وَأمراضاً مَؤلِمَةً وَمُزمِنَةً عَلَيكُمْ وَعَلَى نَسلِكُمْ.

60 a nd he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt which thou art afraid of, and they shall cleave unto thee.

وَسَيَجلِبُ عَلَيكُمْ كُلَّ أمراضِ مِصْرَ الَّتِي كُنتُمْ تَخافُونَ مِنها، فَتَلتَصِقَ بِكُمْ.

61 A lso every sickness and every plague which is not written in the book of this law, them will Jehovah bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

كَما سَيَجلِبُ عَلَيكُمْ أمراضاً وَضِيقاتٍ، وَإنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَنصُوصاً عَلَيها فِي كِتابِ هَذِهِ الشَّرِيعَةِ. سَيَضرِبُكُمُ اللهُ حَتَّى يُهلِكَكُمْ.

62 A nd ye shall be left a small company, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou hast not hearkened to the voice of Jehovah thy God.

وَسَيَبقَى القَلِيلُونَ مِنكُمْ فَقَطْ مَعَ أنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ كَثِيرِينَ بِعَدَدِ نُجُومِ السَّماءِ، لِأنَّكُمْ لَمْ تُطِيعُوا إلَهَكُمْ.

63 A nd it shall come to pass, that as Jehovah rejoiced over you to do you good and to multiply you, so Jehovah will rejoice over you to cause you to perish, and to destroy you; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whereunto thou goest to possess it.

«وَكَما قَرَّرَ اللهُ أنْ يُنجِحَكُمْ وَيَجعَلَكُمْ أكثَرَ عَدَداً، سَيُقَرِّرُ أنْ يُبيدَكُمْ وَيُهلِكَكُمْ. وَسَتُنزَعُونَ مِنَ الأرْضِ الَّتِي سَتَدْخُلُونَ لِتَمتَلِكُوها.

64 A nd Jehovah will scatter thee among all peoples, from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; and thou shalt there serve other gods, whom thou hast not known, neither thou nor thy fathers, wood and stone.

وَسَيُشَتِّتُكُمُ اللهُ بَينَ الأُمَمِ مِنْ طَرَفِ الأرْضِ إلَى طَرَفِها الآخَرِ حَيثُ سَتَعبُدُونَ وَتَخدِمُونَ آلِهَةً أُخْرَى لَمْ تَعرِفُوها أنتُمْ وَلا آباؤكُمْ، آلِهَةً مَصنُوعَةً مِنْ خَشَبٍ وَحَجَرٍ.

65 A nd among these nations shalt thou have no rest, neither shall the sole of thy foot have a resting-place, and Jehovah shall give thee there a trembling heart, languishing of the eyes, and pining of the soul.

«وَفِي وَسَطِ تِلكَ الأُمَمِ لَنْ يَكُونَ لَكُمْ سَلامٌ، وَلَنْ تَجِدُوا مَكاناً لِراحَةِ أرجُلِكُمْ، وَسَيُعطِيكُمْ اللهُ هُناكَ ذِهناً قَلِقاً وَعُيُوناً ضَعِيفَةً وَحَلْقاً جافّاً.

66 A nd thy life shall hang in suspense before thee; and thou shalt be in terror day and night and shalt be afraid of thy life.

وَتَكُونُ حَياتُكُمْ فِي خَطَرٍ دائِمٍ، وَتَكُونُونَ خائِفِينَ فِي الَّليلِ وَالنَّهارِ، وَلَنْ تَأمَنُوا عَلَى حَياتِكُمْ.

67 I n the morning thou shalt say, Would that it were even! and in the evening thou shalt say, Would that it were morning! through the fright of thy heart wherewith thou shalt be in terror, and through the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

فِي الصَّباحِ سَتَقُولُونَ: ‹يا لَيتَهُ كانَ المَساءُ!› وَفِي المَساءِ سَتَقُولُونَ: ‹يا لَيتَهُ كانَ الصَّباحُ!› وَذَلِكَ بِسَبَبِ الخَوفِ الَّذِي سَيَكُونُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ، وَبِسَبَبِ ما تَراهُ أعيُنُكُمْ.

68 A nd Jehovah will bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I said unto thee, Thou shalt see it again no more; and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and there shall be no man to buy.

وَسَيُعِيدُكُمْ اللهُ إلَى مِصْرَ فِي سُفُنٍ إلَى المَكانِ الَّذِي وَعَدَكُمْ بِأنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَرَوْهُ ثانِيَةً. وَهُناكَ سَتُحاوِلُونَ بَيعَ أنفُسِكُمْ لِأعدائِكُمْ كَعَبِيدٍ وَإماءٍ، وَلَكِنْ لَنْ يَكُونَ هُناكَ مَنْ سَيَشتَرِيكُمْ.»
