1 B lessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, and standeth not in the way of sinners, and sitteth not in the seat of scorners;

هَنِيئاً لِلإنسانِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَمشِ حَسَبَ نَصِيحَةِ الأشْرارِ، وَعَلَى طَرِيقِ الخُطاةِ لَمْ يَقِفْ، وَلَمْ يُخالِطِ المُستَهزِئِينَ.

2 B ut his delight is in Jehovah's law, and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

لَكِنَّهُ يُحِبُّ شَرِيعَةَ اللهِ. وَيَتَأمَّلُ تَعالِيمَهُ لَيلَ نَهارٍ.

3 A nd he as a tree planted by brooks of water, which giveth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf fadeth not; and all that he doeth prospereth.

فَهُوَ كَشَجَرَةٍ مَغْرُوسَةٍ قُرْبَ جَداوِلِ المِياهِ، تُنتِجُ ثَمَرَها فِي وَقْتِهِ، وَأوْراقُها لا تَذْبُلُ أبَداً، وَيَنْجَحُ كُلُّ ما يَفْعَلُهُ.

4 T he wicked are not so; but are as the chaff which the wind driveth away.

أمّا الأشْرارُ فَلَيْسُوا كَذَلِكَ، بَلْ هُمْ كَبَقايا التِّبْنِ تُطَيِّرُهُ الرِّيحُ.

5 T herefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

لِهَذا لا يُبَرّأُ الأشْرارُ عِنْدَ المُحاكَمَةِ. وَلا يُحْسَبُ الخُطاةُ بَينَ جَماعَةِ الأبْرارِ.

6 F or Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

لِأنَّ اللهَ يُرْشِدُ المُستَقِيمِينَ وَيَحْمِيهِمْ، أمّا الأشْرارُ فَيَهلِكُونَ.
