1 T he Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah hath anointed me to announce glad tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and opening of the prison to them that are bound;

رُوحُ الرَّبِّ الإلَهُ عَلَيَّ. لأنَّ اللهَ مَسَحَنِي لِكَي أُعلِنَ البِشارَةَ لِلمَساكِينِ، لأُضَمِّدَ مُنكَسِرِي القُلُوبِ، وَلإعلِنَ الحُرِّيَّةَ لِلمَأسُورِينَ، وَالإطلاقَ لِلمَسجُونِينَ،

2 t o proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

وَأُعلِنَ أنَّ وَقتَ اللهِ لِلقُبُولِ قَدْ جاءَ، وَكَذَلِكَ جاءَ وَقْتُ انتِقامِ إلَهِنا! أرسَلَنِي لأعَزِّيَ كُلَّ الحَزانَى،

3 t o appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, that beauty should be given unto them instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness: that they might be called terebinths of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

وَلإعطِيَ لِلنّائِحِينَ فِي صِهْيَوْنَ إكلِيلاً عِوَضاً عَنِ الرَّمادِ، وَزَيتَ فَرَحٍ عِوَضاً عَنِ الحُزنِ، وَثَوبَ تَسبِيحٍ عِوَضاً عَنِ الرُّوحِ الضَّعِيفَةِ. وَسَيُدعَونَ أشجارَ العَدلِ وَزَرعَ اللهِ المَجِيدِ.

4 A nd they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the places desolate from generation to generation.

سَيَبنُونَ الخِرَبَ القَدِيمَةَ، وَيُرَمِّمُونَ الأماكِنَ الَّتِي دُمِّرَتْ قَدِيماً. سَيُصلِحُونَ المُدُنَ الخَرِبَةَ الَّتِي تُرِكَتْ عَبرَ الأجيالِ.

5 A nd strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your ploughmen and your vinedressers.

سَيَقِفُ الغُرَباءُ وَيَرعُونَ غَنَمَكُمْ، وَأولادُ الغُرَباءِ سَيَعمَلُونَ فِي حُقُولِكُمْ وَكُرُومِكُمْ.

6 B ut as for you, ye shall be called priests of Jehovah; it shall be said of you: Ministers of our God. Ye shall eat the wealth of the nations, and into their glory shall ye enter.

أمّا أنتُمْ فَسَتُدعَونَ «كَهَنَةَ اللهِ.» وَسَتُسَمَّونَ «خُدّامَ إلَهِنا.» سَتَستَمتِعُونَ بِثَروَةِ الأُمَمِ، وَسَتَتَسَلَّطُونَ عَلَى غِناهُمْ.

7 I nstead of your shame double; instead of confusion they shall celebrate with joy their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double; everlasting joy shall be unto them.

عِوَضاً عَنْ خِزيِكُمْ سَتَنالُونَ ضِعفَينِ. وَعِوَضاً عَنْ عارِكُمْ سَتَفرَحُونَ بِنَصِيبِكُمْ. لِذَلِكَ سَيَمتَلِكُونَ نَصِيباً مُضاعَفاً فِي أرْضِهِمْ، وَسَيَدُومُ فَرَحُهُمْ إلَى الأبَدِ.

8 F or I, Jehovah, love judgment, I hate robbery with wrong; and I will give their recompence in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

لأنِّي، أنا اللهَ ، أُحِبُّ العَدلَ وَأكرَهُ السَّرِقَةَ وَالظُّلمَ. سَأُعطِيهِمْ جَزاءَهُمْ بِأمانَةٍ، وَسَأقطَعُ مَعَهُمْ عَهداً يَدُومُ إلَى الأبَدِ.

9 A nd their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are a seed that Jehovah hath blessed.

سَيَكُونُ نَسلُهُمْ مَعرُوفاً بَينَ الأُمَمِ، وَزَرعُهُمْ وَسَطَ الشُّعُوبِ. كُلُّ الَّذِينَ يَرَونَهُمْ سَيَعرِفُونَ أنَّهُمْ نَسلٌ بارَكَهُ اللهُ. خَلاصُ الله

10 I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with the priestly turban, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

أفرَحُ فَرَحاً عَظِيماً باللهِ. نَفسِي تَبتَهِجُ بِإلَهِي. لأنَّهُ ألبَسَنِي ثِيابَ الخَلاصِ، وَغَطّانِي بِثَوبِ العَدلِ، مِثلَ عَرِيسٍ يَلبِسُ عَلَى رَأسِهِ إكلِيلاً، وَمِثلَ عَرُوسٍ تَتَزَيَّنُ بِجَواهِرِها.

11 F or as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as a garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

لأنَّهُ كَما أنَّ الأرْضَ تَجعَلُ النَّباتاتِ تَنمُو، وَالحَدِيقَةَ تُنبِتُ بُذُورَها، هَكَذا سَيَجعَلُ الرَّبُّ الإلَهُ العَدلَ يَنمُو، وَالتَّسبِيحَ أمامَ كُلِّ الأُمَمِ.
