1 B ut I make known to you, brethren, the glad tidings which I announced to you, which also ye received, in which also ye stand,

وَالآنَ أوَدُّ أنْ أُذَكِّرَكُمْ، أيُّها الإخوَةُ، بِالبِشارَةِ الَّتِي بَشَّرتُكُمْ بِها، وَتَلَقَّيتُمُوها، وَأنتُمْ مُستَمِرُّونَ فِيها بِقُوَّةٍ.

2 b y which also ye are saved, (if ye hold fast the word which I announced to you as the glad tidings,) unless indeed ye have believed in vain.

وَهِيَ البِشارَةُ الَّتِي بِواسِطَتِها أنتُمْ مُخَلَّصُونَ أيضاً، ما دُمتُمْ مُتَمَسِّكِينَ بِالرِّسالَةِ الَّتِي بَشَّرتُكُمْ بِها. وَإلّا فَإنَّكُمْ تَكُونُونَ قَدْ آمَنتُمْ بِلا فائِدَةٍ.

3 F or I delivered to you, in the first place, what also I had received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures;

فَقَدْ سَلَّمتُ إلَيكُمْ، أوَّلَ كُلِّ شَيءٍ، الإعلانَ الَّذِي تَلَقَّيتُهُ مِنَ الرَّبِّ: «وَهُوَ أنَّ المَسِيحَ ماتَ مِنْ أجلِ خَطايانا، كَما جاءَ فِي الكُتُبِ.

4 a nd that he was buried; and that he was raised the third day, according to the scriptures;

وَبَعدَ ذَلِكَ دُفِنَ وَأُقِيمَ فِي اليَومِ الثّالِثِ، كَما جاءَ فِي الكُتُبِ.

5 a nd that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

وَظَهَرَ لِبُطرُسَ، ثُمَّ لِمَجمُوعَةِ «الاثنا عَشَرَ.»

6 T hen he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the most remain until now, but some also have fallen asleep.

ثُمَّ ظَهَرَ لِأكثَرَ مِنْ خَمسِ مِئَةِ أخٍ مَرَّةً واحِدَةً. وَمُعظَمُ هَؤُلاءِ مازالَوا أحياءَ إلَى الآنِ.

7 T hen he appeared to James; then to all the apostles;

ثُمَّ ظَهَرَ لِيَعقُوبَ، ثُمَّ لِجَمِيعِ الرُّسُلِ.

8 a nd last of all, as to an abortion, he appeared to me also.

ثُمَّ ظَهَرَ لِي أنا آخِرَ الكُلِّ كَما لِلمَولُودِ قَبلَ وَقْتِهِ!

9 F or I am the least of the apostles, who am not fit to be called apostle, because I have persecuted the assembly of God.

فَأنا أقَلُّ الرُّسُلِ، بَلْ إنِّي غَيرُ جَدِيرٍ بِلَقَبِ رَسُولٍ، لِأنِّي اضطَهَدتُ كَنِيسَةَ اللهِ.

10 B ut by God's grace I am what I am; and his grace, which towards me, has not been vain; but I have laboured more abundantly than they all, but not I, but the grace of God which with me.

لَكِنْ ما أنا عَليهِ الآنَ، هُوَ بِفَضلِ نِعمَةِ اللهِ. وَلَمْ أتَلَقَّ نِعمَةَ اللهِ بِلا فائِدَةٍ، بَلْ عَمِلتُ أكثَرَ مِنْ باقِي الرُّسُلِ جَمِيعاً، رُغمَ أنِّي لَمْ أكُنْ أنا العامِلُ، بَلْ نِعمَةُ اللهِ عَمِلَتْ فِيَّ.

11 W hether, therefore, I or they, thus we preach, and thus ye have believed.

فَسَواءٌ أنا الَّذِي بَشَّرتُكُمْ أمْ هُمْ، فَهَذا هُوَ ما نُبَشِّرُ بِهِ كُلُّنا، وَهَذا ما آمَنتُمْ بِهِ. سَنُقامُ مِنَ المَوت

12 N ow if Christ is preached that he is raised from among dead, how say some among you that there is not a resurrection of dead?

لَكِنْ ما دُمنا نُبَشِّرُ بِأنَّ المَسِيحَ أُقِيمَ مِنَ المَوتِ، فَكَيفَ يَقُولُ بَعضٌ مِنَ الَّذِينَ بَينَكُمْ إنَّهُ لا تُوجَدُ قِيامَةٌ لِلأمواتِ؟

13 B ut if there is not a resurrection of dead, neither is Christ raised:

فَإنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ هُناكَ قِيامَةٌ لِلأمواتِ، فَمَعنَى هَذا أنَّ المَسِيحَ لَمْ يُقَمْ مِنَ المَوتِ.

14 b ut if Christ is not raised, then, indeed, vain also our preaching, and vain also your faith.

وَإنْ كانَ هَذا صَحِيحاً فَإنَّ رِسالَتَنا فارِغَةٌ، وَإيمانُكُمْ فارِغٌ.

15 A nd we are found also false witnesses of God; for we have witnessed concerning God that he raised the Christ, whom he has not raised if indeed dead are not raised.

وَنَكُونُ بِهَذا شهُوداً كاذِبِينَ عَنِ اللهِ، لِأنَّنا نَشهَدُ عَنِ اللهِ أنَّهُ أقامَ المَسِيحَ مِنَ المَوتِ!

16 F or if dead are not raised, neither is Christ raised;

فَإنْ كانَ الأمواتُ لا يَقُومُونَ حَقّاً، فَإنَّ المَسِيحَ لَمْ يَقُمْ مِنَ المَوتِ!

17 b ut if Christ be not raised, your faith vain; ye are yet in your sins.

وَإنْ لَمْ يَكُنِ المَسِيحُ قَدْ قامَ مِنَ المَوتِ، يَكُونُ إيمانُكُمْ باطِلاً، وَخَطاياكُمْ لَمْ تُغفَرْ بَعدُ،

18 T hen indeed also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

وَيَكُونُ الَّذِينَ ماتُوا فِي المَسِيحِ قَدْ هَلَكُوا.

19 I f in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are most miserable of all men.

وَإنْ كانَ رَجاؤُنا فِي المَسِيحِ مُرتَبِطاً بِهَذِهِ الحَياةِ فَقَط، فَنَحنُ أكثَرُ النّاسِ استِحقاقاً لِلشَّفَقَةِ.

20 ( But now Christ is raised from among dead, first-fruits of those fallen asleep.

لَكِنِ الحَقِيقَةُ هِيَ أنَّ المَسِيحَ قَدْ قامَ بِالفِعلِ مِنَ المَوتِ، وَهُوَ أوَّلُ حَصادِ الَّذِينَ ماتُوا.

21 F or since by man death, by man also resurrection of dead.

فَبِما أنَّ المَوتَ جاءَ بِإنسانٍ، كَذَلِكَ جاءَتْ قِيامَةُ الأمواتِ بِإنسانٍ.

22 F or as in the Adam all die, thus also in the Christ all shall be made alive.

الجَمِيعُ يَمُوتُونَ بِسَبَبِ ما فَعَلَهُ آدَمُ، وَكَذَلِكَ يَحيا الجَمِيعُ بِسَبَبِ ما فَعَلَهُ المَسِيحُ.

23 B ut each in his own rank: first-fruits, Christ; then those that are the Christ's at his coming.

لَكِنْ يُقامُ كُلُّ واحِدٍ حَسَبَ تَرتِيبِهِ الخاصِّ: المَسِيحُ الَّذِي هُوَ أوَّلُ الحَصادِ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَنتَمُونَ إلَى المَسِيحِ حِينَ يَأتِي ثانِيَةً.

24 T hen the end, when he gives up the kingdom to him God and Father; when he shall have annulled all rule and all authority and power.

ثُمَّ تَأْتِي النِّهايَةُ، حِينَ يُسَلِّمُ المَسِيحُ المَلَكُوتَ للهِ الآبِ، بَعدَ أنْ يَقضِيَ عَلَى كُلِّ رِئاسَةٍ وَسُلطَةٍ وَقُوَّةٍ تُقاوِمُ اللهَ.

25 F or he must reign until he put all enemies under his feet.

إذْ يَنبَغِي أنْ يَملُكَ المَسِيحُ إلَى أنْ يَضَعَ اللهُ أعداءَهُ تَحتَ قَدَمَيهِ.

26 l ast enemy is annulled death.

وَسَيَكُونُ المَوتُ آخِرَ عَدُوٍّ يُقضَى عَلَيهِ.

27 F or he has put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he says that all things are put in subjection, evident that except him who put all things in subjection to him.

إذْ يَقُولُ الكِتابُ إنَّ: «كُلَّ الأشياءِ أُخضِعَتْ تَحتَ قَدَمَيهِ.» وَحِينَ يَقُولُ الكِتابُ إنَّ «كُلَّ الأشياءِ أُخضِعَتْ،» فَمِنَ الواضِحِ أنَّ هَذِهِ الأشياءَ لا تَشمَلُ اللهَ الَّذِي أخضَعَ كُلَّ الأشياءِ لِلمَسِيحِ.

28 B ut when all things shall have been brought into subjection to him, then the Son also himself shall be placed in subjection to him who put all things in subjection to him, that God may be all in all.)

وَبَعدَ أنْ تُخضَعَ كُلُّ الأشياءِ، فَسَيَخضَعُ الابنُ نَفسهُ للهِ الَّذِي أخضَعَ لَهُ كُلَّ الأشياءِ، لِكَي يَكُونَ اللهُ كُلَّ شَيءٍ بَينَ الجَمِيعِ.

29 S ince what shall the baptised for the dead do if dead rise not at all? why also are they baptised for them?

وَإلّا، فَما الَّذِي يَفعَلُهُ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَتَعَمَّدُونَ عَنِ الأمواتِ؟ فَإنْ كانَ المَوتَى لا يُقامُونَ مِنَ المَوتِ، فَلِماذا يَتَعَمَّدُونَ عَنهُمْ؟

30 W hy do we also endanger ourselves every hour?

وَما الَّذِي يَدفَعُنا نَحنُ إلَى مُواجَهَةِ الخَطَرِ فِي كُلِّ وَقتٍ؟

31 D aily I die, by your boasting which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

إنِّي أُواجِهُ المَوتَ كُلَّ يَومٍ أيُّها الإخوَةُ الَّذينَ أفتَخِرُ بِكُمْ فِي المَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ رَبِّنا.

32 I f, after the manner of man, I have fought with beasts in Ephesus, what is the profit to me if dead do not rise? let us eat and drink; for to-morrow we die.

فَإنْ كُنتُ قَدْ حارَبتُ وُحُوشاً فِي أفَسُسَ مِنْ أجلِ أسبابٍ بَشَرِيَّةٍ، فَما الَّذِي كَسِبتُهُ مِنْ وَراءِ ذَلِكَ؟ وَإنْ لَمْ يَكُنِ المَوتَى يُقامُونَ، إذاً «فَلْنَأْكُلْ وَنَشرَبْ لِأنَّنا غَداً سَنَمُوتُ!»

33 B e not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

لا تَسْمَحوا بِأنْ يُضِلَّكُمْ أحَدٌ: «فَرِفاقُ السُّوءِ يُفسِدُونَ الأخلاقَ الصّالِحَةَ.»

34 A wake up righteously, and sin not; for some are ignorant of God: I speak to you as a matter of shame.

عُودُوا إلَى عَقلِكُمْ وَكُفُّوا عَنِ الخَطِيَّةِ، إذْ إنَّ بَعضاً مِنكُمْ مازالَ يَجهَلُ اللهَ. أقُولُ هَذا لِكَي تَخْجَلُوا! جَسَدُ القِيامَة

35 B ut some one will say, How are the dead raised? and with what body do they come?

لَكِنْ رُبَّما يَسألُ أحَدُكُمْ، كَيفَ يُقامُ الأمواتُ؟ وَما نَوعُ الجَسَدِ الَّذِي سَيَكُونُ لَهُمْ؟»

36 F ool; what thou sowest is not quickened unless it die.

يا جاهِلُ، إنَّ ما تَزرَعُهُ لا يَحيا إنْ لَمْ يَمُتْ أوَّلاً.

37 A nd what thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be, but a bare grain: it may be of wheat, or some one of the rest:

فَعِندَما تَزرَعُ، أنتَ لا تَزرَعُ نَبتَةً ناضِجَةً، بَلْ مُجَرَّدَ حَبَّةٍ عارِيَةٍ. سَواءٌ أكانَتْ حَبَّةَ قَمحٍ أمْ أيَّ نَوعٍ آخَرَ مِنَ الحُبُوبِ.

38 a nd God gives to it a body as he has pleased, and to each of the seeds its own body.

ثُمَّ يُعطيها اللهُ شَكلاً كَما يَشاءُ. فَيُعطي لِكُلِّ بِذرَةٍ شَكلَها.

39 E very flesh not the same flesh, but one of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another of birds, and another of fishes.

وَلَيسَتْ كُلُّ الأجسامِ مُتَماثِلَةً. فَللبَشَرِ جِسْمٌ، وَللحَيَواناتِ جِسْمٌ، وَلِلطُّيُورِ جِسمٌ، وَلِلأسماكِ جِسمٌ.

40 A nd heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies: but different is the glory of the heavenly, different that of the earthly:

وَهُناكَ أجسامٌ سَماوِيَّةٌ وَأجسامٌ أرْضِيَّةٌ. لِلأجسامِ السَّماوِيَّةِ بَهاءٌ، وَلِلأجسامِ الأرْضِيَّةِ بَهاءٌ آخَرُ،

41 o ne sun's glory, and another moon's glory, and another stars' glory; for star differs from star in glory.

لِلشَّمسِ بَهاءٌ، وَلِلقَمَرِ بَهاءٌ، وَلِلنُّجُومِ بَهاءٌ. وَيَختَلِفُ نَجمٌ عَنْ نَجمٍ آخَرَ فِي البَهاءِ.

42 T hus also the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruptibility.

هَكَذا أيضاً عِندَما يُقامُ الأمواتُ. فَالجَسَدُ الَّذِي يُدفَنُ فِي الأرْضِ يَتَعَفَّنُ، أمّا الجَسَدُ الَّذِي يُقامُ فَلا يَموتُ.

43 I t is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.

الجَسَدُ الَّذِي يُدفَنُ هُوَ دُونَ كَرامَةٍ، أمّا الجَسَدُ المُقامُ فَمَجِيدٌ. الجَسَدُ الَّذِي يُدفَنُ ضَعِيفٌ، أمّا الجَسَدُ المُقامُ فَقَوِيٌّ.

44 I t is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body: if there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual.

ما يُدفَنُ فِي الأرْضِ جَسَدٌ مادِّيٌّ، وَما يُقامُ جَسَدٌ رُوحِيٌّ. وَبِما أنَّ هُناكَ أجساداً مادِّيَّةً، فَهُناكَ أيضاً أجسادٌ رُوحِيَّةٌ.

45 T hus also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul; the last Adam a quickening spirit.

يَقُولُ الكِتابُ: «صارَ الإنسانُ الأوَّلُ، آدَمُ، نَفساً حَيَّةً.» أمّا المَسِيحُ، آدَمُ الأخِيرُ، فَهوَ رُوحٌ مُحْيٍ.

46 B ut that which is spiritual not first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual:

لَمْ يَأْتِ الرُّوحِيُّ أوَّلاً، بَلِ الطَّبِيعِيُّ هُوَ الَّذِي أتَى أوَّلاً، ثُمَّ الرُّوحِيُّ.

47 t he first man out of earth, made of dust; the second man, out of heaven.

أتَى الإنسانُ الأوَّلُ مِنَ الأرْضِ وَخُلِقَ مِنَ التُّرابِ، أمّا الثّانِي فَقَدْ أتَى مِنَ السَّماءِ.

48 S uch as he made of dust, such also those made of dust; and such as the heavenly, such also the heavenly.

وَالنّاسُ مَخلُوقُونَ مِنْ تُرابٍ، مِثلَ ذَلِكَ المَخلُوقِ مِنَ التُّرابِ. أمّا الشَّعبُ السَّماوِيُّ، فَمِثلُ ذَلِكَ السَّماوِيِّ.

49 A nd as we have borne the image of the made of dust, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly.

وَكَما حَمَلنا صُورَةَ ذَلِكَ التُّرابيِّ، سَنَحمِلُ أيضاً صُورَةَ السَّماوِيِّ.

50 B ut this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God's kingdom, nor does corruption inherit incorruptibility.

وَأنا أقُولُ لَكُمْ، أيُّها الإخوَةُ إنَّ أجسادَنا الأرْضِيَّةَ لا تَقدِرُ أنْ تَرِثَ مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ. كَذَلِكَ لا يَستَطِيعُ ما هُوَ قابِلٌ لِلمَوتِ أنْ يَرِثَ ما لَيسَ قابِلاً لِلمَوتِ.

51 B ehold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed,

سَأُخبِرُكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الحَقِيقَةَ الخَفِيَّةَ: لَنْ نَرْقُدَ كُلُّنا رُقودَ المَوتِ، لَكِنَّ اللهَ سَيُغَيِّرُنا كُلَّنا فِي لَحظَةٍ،

52 i n an instant, in twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

بَلْ فِي طَرفَةِ عَينٍ، عِندَما يُسمَعُ صَوتُ البُوقِ الأخِيرِ. إذْ سَيُصَوِّتُ البُوقُ، وَسَيُقامُ الأمواتُ غَيرَ قابِلِينَ لِلمَوتِ فِيما بَعْدُ. وَنَحنُ الباقِينَ أحياءً سَنُغَيَّرُ.

53 F or this corruptible must needs put on incorruptibility, and this mortal put on immortality.

إذْ يَنبَغِي أنْ يَلبِسَ هَذا الجَسَدُ الفاسِدُ ما لَيسَ فاسِداً، وَأنْ يَلبِسَ هَذا الجَسَدُ القابِلُ لِلمَوتِ ما لَيسَ قابِلاً لِلمَوتِ.

54 B ut when this corruptible shall have put on incorruptibility, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word written: Death has been swallowed up in victory.

وَحِينَ يَلبِسُ هَذا الجَسَدُ القابِلُ لِلمَوتِ ما لَيسَ قابِلاً لِلمَوتِ، وَيَلبِسُ الجَسَدُ الفانِي ما لا يَفنَى، يَتَحَقَّقُ المَكتُوبُ: «هُزِمَ المَوتُ.»

55 W here, O death, thy sting? where, O death, thy victory?

«أينَ يا مَوتُ انتِصارُكَ؟ وَأينَ يا قَبْرُ لَدغَتُكَ؟»

56 N ow the sting of death sin, and the power of sin the law;

فَالخَطِيَّةُ تُعطِي المَوتَ قُدرَتَهُ عَلَى اللَّدغِ! وَقُوَّةُ الخَطِيَّةِ نابِعَةٌ مِنَ الشَّرِيعَةِ.

57 b ut thanks to God, who gives us the victory by our Lord Jesus Christ.

لَكِنْ كُلُّ الشُّكرِ للهِ الَّذِي يُعطِينا النَّصرَ فِي رَبِّنا يَسُوعَ المَسِيحِ.

58 S o then, my beloved brethren, be firm, immovable, abounding always in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in Lord.

إذاً اثبُتُوا، أيُّها الإخوَةُ، وَلا تَسمَحُوا لِشَيءٍ بِأنْ يُزَحزِحَكُمْ. وَكَرِّسُوا أنفُسَكُمْ لِعَمَلِ الرَّبِّ بِشَكلٍ كامِلٍ، لِأنَّكُمْ تَعلَمُونَ أنَّ عَمَلَكُمْ فِي الرَّبِّ لا يَضِيعُ.
