1 A nd as was coming out of the temple '> area], one of His disciples said to Him, Look, Teacher! Notice the sort and quality of these stones and buildings!

După ce a ieşit din Templu, unul dintre ucenicii Lui I-a zis: – Învăţătorule, iată ce pietre şi ce clădiri!

2 A nd Jesus replied to him, You see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be loosened and torn down.

Isus i-a răspuns: – Vezi tu clădirile acestea mari? Nu va fi lăsată aici piatră pe piatră; totul va fi dărâmat!

3 A nd as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple '> enclosure], Peter and James and John and Andrew asked Him privately,

Apoi S-a aşezat pe Muntele Măslinilor, în dreptul Templului şi, în timp ce erau doar ei singuri, Petru, Iacov, Ioan şi Andrei L-au întrebat:

4 T ell us when is this to take place and what will be the sign when these things, all, are about to be accomplished?

– Spune-ne când se vor întâmpla aceste lucruri şi care va fi semnul când urmează să fie împlinite toate acestea?

5 A nd Jesus began to tell them, Be careful and watchful that no one misleads you.

Isus a început să le vorbească astfel: – Vedeţi să nu vă înşele cineva!

6 M any will come in '> appropriating to themselves] the name which belongs to Me '> basing their claims on the use of My name], saying, I am! And they will mislead many.

Vor veni mulţi în Numele Meu, zicând: „Eu sunt Acela!“ şi vor înşela astfel pe mulţi.

7 A nd when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not get alarmed (troubled and frightened); it is necessary take place, but the end is not yet.

Când veţi auzi de războaie şi veşti de războaie, să nu vă neliniştiţi! Aceste lucruri trebuie să se întâmple. Dar încă nu va fi sfârşitul.

8 F or nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines and calamities. This is but the beginning of the intolerable anguish and suffering '> birth pangs].

Un neam se va ridica împotriva altui neam şi o împărăţie împotriva altei împărăţii. Vor fi cutremure în diverse locuri şi va fi foamete. Dar acestea sunt doar începutul durerilor naşterii.

9 B ut look to yourselves; for they will turn you over to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for My sake as a testimony to them.

Luaţi seama la voi înşivă! Vă vor da pe mâna sinedriilor şi veţi fi bătuţi în sinagogi. Veţi fi puşi să staţi înaintea guvernatorilor şi înaintea regilor din pricina Mea, ca să fiţi mărturie înaintea lor.

10 A nd the good news (the Gospel) must first be preached to all nations.

Mai întâi trebuie ca Evanghelia să fie vestită la toate neamurile.

11 N ow when they take you and put you under arrest, do not be anxious beforehand about what you are to say nor meditate about it; but say whatever is given you in that hour and at the moment, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

Când vă vor duce să vă dea pe mâna lor, să nu vă îngrijoraţi dinainte cu privire la ceea ce veţi vorbi, ci spuneţi ce vi se va da chiar în ceasul acela! Căci nu voi sunteţi cei care veţi vorbi, ci Duhul Sfânt.

12 A nd brother will hand over brother to death, and the father his child; and children will take a stand against their parents and them put to death.

Fratele îl va trăda şi-l va da la moarte pe fratele său, iar tatăl pe copilul său; copiii se vor ridica împotriva părinţilor şi-i vor da la moarte.

13 A nd you will be hated and detested by everybody for My name’s sake, but he who patiently perseveres and endures to the end will be saved ( made a partaker of the salvation by Christ, and delivered from spiritual death).

Veţi fi urâţi de toţi din pricina Numelui Meu, dar cel ce va răbda până la sfârşit va fi mântuit.

14 B ut when you see the abomination of desolation mentioned by Daniel the prophet standing where it ought not to be— let the one who reads take notice and consider and understand and heed —then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

Când veţi vedea „urâciunea pustiirii“ stând acolo unde n-ar trebui – cel ce citeşte, să înţeleagă –, atunci cei din Iudeea să fugă în munţi!

15 L et him who is on the housetop not go down into the house nor go inside to take anything out of his house;

Cel ce va fi pe acoperişul casei să nu coboare, nici să nu intre în casă ca să-şi ia ceva din ea,

16 A nd let him who is in the field not turn back again to get his mantle (cloak).

iar cel ce va fi la câmp să nu se întoarcă să-şi ia haina!

17 A nd alas for those who are pregnant and for those who have nursing babies in those days!

Vai de cele ce vor fi însărcinate şi de cele ce vor alăpta în zilele acelea!

18 P ray that it may not occur in winter,

Rugaţi-vă să nu se întâmple iarna.

19 F or at that time there will be such affliction (oppression and tribulation) as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created until this particular time—and positively never will be.

Căci în zilele acelea va fi un necaz aşa de mare cum n-a mai fost de la începutul creaţiei, pe care a făurit-o Dumnezeu, şi până acum, şi nici nu va mai fi!

20 A nd unless the Lord had shortened the days, no human being would be saved (rescued); but for the sake of the elect, His chosen ones (those whom He picked out for Himself), He has shortened the days.

Iar dacă Domnul n-ar fi scurtat numărul zilelor, nici un om n-ar fi scăpat; dar, din pricina celor aleşi, pe care El i-a ales, El a scurtat numărul zilelor.

21 A nd then if anyone says to you, See, here is the Christ (the Messiah)! or, Look, there He is! do not believe it.

Dacă cineva vă va spune atunci: „Iată, Cristosul este aici!“ sau „Iată, este acolo!“, să nu credeţi!

22 F alse Christs (Messiahs) and false prophets will arise and show signs and miracles to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect (those God has chosen out for Himself).

Căci se vor ridica cristoşi falşi şi profeţi falşi şi vor face semne şi minuni, pentru a-i înşela, dacă este posibil, pe cei aleşi.

23 B ut look to yourselves and be on your guard; I have told you everything beforehand.

Voi însă păziţi-vă; v-am spus mai dinainte toate lucrurile!

24 B ut in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

Dar în zilele acelea, după necazul acela, soarele se va întuneca, luna nu-şi va mai da lumina,

25 A nd the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

stelele vor cădea din cer şi puterile din ceruri vor fi clătinate.

26 A nd then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great (kingly) power and glory (majesty and splendor).

Atunci Îl vor vedea pe Fiul Omului venind pe nori, cu mare putere şi slavă.

27 A nd then He will send out the angels and will gather together His elect (those He has picked out for Himself) from the four winds, from the farthest bounds of the earth to the farthest bounds of heaven.

Atunci El va trimite îngerii, iar ei îi vor aduna pe aleşii Lui din cele patru vânturi, de la marginea pământului până la marginea cerului.

28 N ow learn a lesson from the fig tree: as soon as its branch becomes tender and it puts forth its leaves, you recognize and know that summer is near.

Învăţaţi de la smochin pilda lui: când mlădiţa lui devine deja fragedă şi încep să apară frunzele, ştiţi că vara este aproape.

29 S o also, when you see these things happening, you may recognize and know that He is near, at door.

Tot aşa şi voi, când vedeţi că se întâmplă aceste lucruri, să ştiţi că El este aproape, este chiar la uşi.

30 S urely I say to you, this generation ( the whole multitude of people living at that one time) positively will not perish or pass away before all these things take place.

Adevărat vă spun că nu va trece această generaţie până se vor întâmpla toate aceste lucruri.

31 H eaven and earth will perish and pass away, but My words will not perish or pass away.

Cerul şi pământul vor trece, însă cuvintele Mele nu vor trece! Îndemn la veghere

32 B ut of that day or that hour not a person knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Dar despre ziua sau ora aceea nu ştie nimeni, nici îngerii din ceruri, nici Fiul, ci numai Tatăl.

33 B e on your guard, and watch and pray; for you do not know when the time will come.

Fiţi atenţi! Vegheaţi! Căci nu ştiţi când va sosi vremea.

34 I t is like a man '> already] going on a journey; when he leaves home, he puts his servants in charge, each with his particular task, and he gives orders to the doorkeeper to be constantly alert and on the watch.

Este ca atunci când un om, plecat într-o călătorie, îşi lasă casa, dă sclavilor săi autoritate, fiecăruia potrivit slujbei lui, şi porunceşte portarului să vegheze.

35 T herefore watch (give strict attention, be cautious and alert), for you do not know when the Master of the house is coming—in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning—

Vegheaţi deci pentru că nu ştiţi când vine stăpânul casei – sau seara, sau la miezul nopţii, sau la cântatul cocoşului, sau dimineaţa –

36 l est He come suddenly and unexpectedly and find you asleep.

şi să nu cumva, venind pe neaşteptate, să vă găsească dormind!

37 A nd what I say to you I say to everybody: Watch (give strict attention, be cautious, active, and alert)!

Ceea ce vă spun vouă, spun tuturor: vegheaţi!
