2 D o not forget or neglect or refuse to extend hospitality to strangers, for through it some have entertained angels without knowing it.

Nu neglijaţi să arătaţi ospitalitate străinilor, pentru că, prin aceasta, unii au găzduit, fără să ştie, îngeri!

3 R emember those who are in prison as if you were their fellow prisoner, and those who are ill-treated, since you also are liable to bodily sufferings.

Amintiţi-vă de cei care sunt închişi, ca şi cum aţi fi închişi împreună cu ei, şi de cei care sunt torturaţi, ca şi cum voi înşivă aţi fi în suferinţă!

4 L et marriage be held in honor (esteemed worthy, precious, of great price, and especially dear) in all things. And thus let the marriage bed be undefiled (kept undishonored); for God will judge and punish the unchaste and adulterous.

Căsătoria să fie onorată în toate, iar patul să fie păstrat nepângărit, pentru că Dumnezeu îi va judeca pe cei desfrânaţi şi adulteri!

5 L et your character or moral disposition be free from love of money and be satisfied with your present; for He Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. not, not, not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let down ( relax My hold on you)! '> Assuredly not!]

Să nu fiţi dintre cei care iubesc banii! Fiţi mulţumiţi cu ceea ce aveţi, pentru că El a spus: „Nicidecum nu te voi părăsi, nici nu te voi uita!“

6 S o we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm. What can man do to me?

Astfel, putem spune cu încredere: „Domnul este ajutorul meu; de aceea nu mă voi teme! Ce-mi poate face un om?!“

7 R emember your leaders and superiors in authority who brought to you the Word of God. Observe attentively and consider their manner of living (the outcome of their well-spent lives) and imitate their faith ( their conviction that God exists and is the Creator and Ruler of all things, the Provider and Bestower of eternal salvation through Christ, and their leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness).

Amintiţi-vă de conducătorii voştri, care v-au spus Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu! Uitaţi-vă la sfârşitul felului lor de viaţă şi urmaţi-le exemplul de credinţă!

8 J esus Christ (the Messiah) is the same, yesterday, today, and forever (to the ages).

Isus Cristos este acelaşi – ieri, astăzi şi în veci!

9 D o not be carried about by different and varied and alien teachings; for it is good for the heart to be established and ennobled and strengthened by means of grace (God’s favor and spiritual blessing) and not foods, which bring no benefit or profit to those who observe them.

Să nu fiţi duşi în rătăcire de tot felul de învăţături străine, pentru că este bine pentru inimă să fie întărită prin har, nu prin porunci cu privire la mâncare, porunci care nu i-au ajutat pe cei ce au ascultat de ele!

10 W e have an altar from which those who serve and worship in the tabernacle have no right to eat.

Noi avem un altar de unde cei care slujesc la cort nu au dreptul să mănânce.

11 F or when the blood of animals is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin, the victims’ bodies are burned outside the limits of the camp.

Căci sângele animalelor este adus ca jertfă pentru păcate în Locul Preasfânt de către marele preot, iar trupurile animalelor sunt arse afară din tabără.

12 T herefore Jesus also suffered and died outside the gate in order that He might purify and consecrate the people through His own blood and set them apart as holy.

De aceea, Isus a suferit dincolo de poarta cetăţii, ca să sfinţească poporul prin sângele Lui.

13 L et us then go forth to Him outside the camp, bearing the contempt and abuse and shame with Him.

Aşadar, să ieşim la El, în afara taberei, şi să îndurăm ruşinea Lui.

14 F or here we have no permanent city, but we are looking for the one which is to come.

Noi nu avem aici o cetate permanentă, ci suntem în căutarea celei care urmează să vină.

15 T hrough Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.

Prin El deci să-I aducem întotdeauna o jertfă de laudă lui Dumnezeu, adică rodul buzelor noastre care mărturisesc Numele Lui!

16 D o not forget or neglect to do kindness and good, to be generous and distribute and contribute to the needy '> as embodiment and proof of fellowship], for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

Să nu uitaţi binefacerea şi dărnicia, pentru că lui Dumnezeu astfel de jertfe Îi plac!

17 O bey your spiritual leaders and submit to them, for they are constantly keeping watch over your souls and guarding your spiritual welfare, as men who will have to render an account. let them do this with gladness and not with sighing and groaning, for that would not be profitable to you.

Ascultaţi de conducătorii voştri şi supuneţi-vă lor, căci ei au grijă de sufletele voastre şi vor fi răspunzători de ele, pentru ca astfel ei să facă aceasta cu bucurie şi nu gemând, lucru care nu v-ar fi de nici un folos!

18 K eep praying for us, for we are convinced that we have a good (clear) conscience, that we want to walk uprightly and live a noble life, acting honorably and in complete honesty in all things.

Rugaţi-vă pentru noi! Suntem siguri că avem o conştiinţă bună, dorind să ne comportăm bine în toate.

19 A nd I beg of you the more earnestly, in order that I may be restored to you the sooner.

Vă îndemn tot mai mult să faceţi aceasta, ca să vă fiu trimis înapoi repede!

20 N ow may the God of peace, Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

Dumnezeul păcii, Care L-a adus înapoi dintre cei morţi pe Domnul nostru Isus, marele Păstor al oilor, prin sângele legământului veşnic,

21 S trengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages). Amen (so be it).

să vă echipeze cu orice lucru bun, pentru a-I face voia, lucrând între noi ceea ce este plăcut înaintea Lui, prin Isus Cristos, Căruia I se cuvine slava în vecii vecilor! Amin.

22 I call on you, brethren, to listen patiently and bear with this message of exhortation and admonition and encouragement, for I have written to you briefly.

Vă îndemn, fraţilor, să primiţi cuvântul de încurajare pe care vi l-am scris. De aceea v-am scris pe scurt.

23 N otice that our brother Timothy has been released. If he comes here soon, I will see you along with him.

Vreau să ştiţi că fratele nostru Timotei a fost eliberat. Dacă soseşte curând, va fi cu mine când vă voi vedea.

24 G ive our greetings to all of your spiritual leaders and to all of the saints (God’s consecrated believers). The Italian Christians send you their greetings.

Salutaţi-i pe toţi conducătorii voştri şi pe toţi sfinţii! Cei din Italia vă salută.

25 G race (God’s favor and spiritual blessing) be with you all. Amen (so be it).
