1 T hus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held to subdue nations before him, and I will unarm and ungird the loins of kings to open doors before him, so that gates will not be shut.

«Aşa vorbeşte Domnul către unsul Său, către Cirus, pe care l-am apucat de mâna dreaptă pentru a supune neamurile şi pentru a dezbrăca pe împăraţi de armurile lor; pentru a deschide porţile înaintea lui, porţi ce nu vor mai fi închise:

2 I will go before you and level the mountains; I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut asunder the bars of iron.

Eu Însumi voi merge înaintea ta şi voi netezi munţii; voi sparge uşile de bronz şi voi tăia barele de fier;

3 A nd I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, Who calls you by your name.

îţi voi da vistieriile întunericului, bogăţii ascunse în locuri tainice, ca să ştii că Eu sunt Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel, Care te chem pe nume.

4 F or the sake of Jacob My servant, and of Israel My chosen, I have called you by your name. I have surnamed you, though you have not known Me.

De dragul robului Meu Iacov, al alesului Meu Israel, te chem pe nume, îţi dau un nume de onoare, deşi tu nu Mă cunoşti.

5 I am the Lord, and there is no one else; there is no God besides Me. I will gird and arm you, though you have not known Me,

Eu sunt Domnul, nu este altul; în afară de Mine nu există un alt Dumnezeu! Te voi încinge, deşi tu nu Mă cunoşti,

6 T hat men may know from the east and the rising of the sun and from the west and the setting of the sun that there is no God besides Me. I am the Lord, and no one else.

pentru ca oamenii să cunoască, de la răsăritul soarelui şi până la apus, că nu există un altul în afară de Mine; Eu sunt Domnul, nu este altul!

7 I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and I create evil (calamity); I am the Lord, Who does all these things.

Eu întocmesc lumina şi creez întunericul; Eu aduc bunăstarea şi tot eu creez dezastrul; Eu, Domnul, fac toate aceste lucruri!

8 L et fall in showers, you heavens, from above, and let the skies rain down righteousness; let the earth open, and let them sprout forth salvation, and let righteousness germinate and spring up together; I the Lord have created it.

Picuraţi, voi, ceruri de sus! Să plouă din nori dreptatea! Să se deschidă pământul larg şi să răsară mântuirea! Să răsară şi dreptatea împreună cu ea! Eu, Domnul, le-am creat.

9 W oe to him who strives with his Maker!—a worthless piece of broken pottery among other pieces equally worthless! Shall the clay say to him who fashions it, What do you think you are making? or, Your work has no handles?

Vai de cel ce se ceartă cu Făcătorul său, de cel care nu este decât un vas de pământ printre altele la fel! Îi va spune oare lutul olarului: ‘Ce faci?’ sau: ‘Nu i-ai pus mâini!’ ?

10 W oe to him who says to a father, What are you begetting? or to a woman, With what are you in travail?

Vai de cel ce-i zice tatălui său: ‘Ce ai zămislit?’ sau mamei sale: ‘Ce ai adus pe lume?’»

11 T hus says the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker: Would you question Me about things to come concerning My children, and concerning the work of My hands command Me?

Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Sfântul lui Israel şi Făcătorul lui: «Cu privire la cele viitoare, îndrăzniţi să Mă întrebaţi despre copiii Mei? Îmi veţi porunci cu privire la lucrarea mâinilor Mele?

12 I made the earth and created man upon it. I, with My hands, stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.

Eu am făcut pământul şi am creat omul pe el; propriile Mele mâini au desfăşurat cerurile şi Eu am poruncit întregii lor oştiri.

13 I will raise up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways; he will build My city, and he will let My captives go, not for hire or for a bribe, says the Lord of hosts.

Eu l-am ridicat pe Cirus, în dreptatea Mea, şi-i voi netezi toate căile. El va rezidi cetatea Mea şi îi va elibera pe exilaţii Mei, nu pentru vreun preţ sau vreo răsplată, zice Domnul Oştirilor.»“

14 T hus says the Lord: The labor and wealth of Egypt and the merchandise of Ethiopia and the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over to you and they shall be yours; they shall follow you; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down before you; they shall make supplication to you, saying, Surely God is with you, and there is no other, no God besides Him.

„Aşa vorbeşte Domnul: «Produsele Egiptului şi mărfurile din Cuş, precum şi sabeenii înalţi la statură, vor veni spre tine şi îţi vor aparţine; vor veni în lanţuri în urma ta. Se vor pleca înaintea ta şi ţi se vor ruga, zicând: ‘Recunoaştem că Dumnezeu este cu tine! Alt Dumnezeu nu este! Nu există un alt Dumnezeu în afară de El!’»

15 T ruly You are a God Who hides Himself, O God of Israel, the Savior.

Cu adevărat, Tu eşti un Dumnezeu Care Se ascunde. O, Dumnezeu al lui Israel, Mântuitorule!

16 T hey shall be put to shame, yes, confounded, all of them; they who are makers of idols shall go off into confusion together.

Făcuţi de ruşine şi umiliţi vor fi cu toţii; cuprinşi de ruşine vor umbla împreună, toţi făuritorii de idoli.

17 B ut Israel shall be saved by the Lord with an everlasting salvation; you shall not be put to shame or confounded to all eternity.

Dar Israel va fi mântuit de Domnul cu o mântuire veşnică; voi nu veţi mai fi făcuţi de ruşine, nici umiliţi, pe vecie.

18 F or thus says the Lord—Who created the heavens, God Himself, Who formed the earth and made it, Who established it and did not create it to be a worthless waste; He formed it to be inhabited—I am the Lord, and there is no one else.

Căci aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Cel Care a creat cerurile – El este Dumnezeu – Cel Care a întocmit şi a făcut pământul – El l-a întemeiat şi nu l-a creat să fie pustiu, ci l-a întocmit ca să fie locuit: «Eu sunt Domnul, nu există altul!

19 I have not spoken in secret, in a corner of the land of darkness; I did not call the descendants of Jacob, saying, Seek Me for nothing. I, the Lord, speak righteousness (the truth—trustworthy, straightforward correspondence between deeds and words); I declare things that are right.

Eu nu am vorbit în ascuns, în vreun colţ întunecos al pământului; nu am zis urmaşilor lui Iacov: ‘Căutaţi-Mă în zadar!’ Eu, Domnul, spun adevărul, fac cunoscut ce este drept.

20 A ssemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you survivors of the nations! They have no knowledge who carry about their wooden idols and keep on praying to a god that cannot save.

Strângeţi-vă! Veniţi! Apropiaţi-vă cu toţii, voi supravieţuitori dintre neamuri! Fără minte sunt cei care îşi poartă idolii de lemn, şi se roagă unui dumnezeu care nu poate mântui.

21 D eclare and bring forward your strong arguments; yes, take counsel together. Who announced this beforehand (long ago)? declared it of old? Was it not I, the Lord? And there is no other God besides Me, a rigidly and uncompromisingly just and righteous God and Savior; there is none besides Me.

Vorbiţi! Prezentaţi-vă cauza! Lăsaţi-i să se sfătuiască împreună! Cine a prevestit aceasta cu multă vreme în urmă? Cine a vestit-o în trecut? Oare nu Eu, Domnul ? Nu există alt Dumnezeu în afară de Mine, Dumnezeu drept şi Mântuitor; nu este altul în afară de Mine!

22 L ook to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.

Întoarceţi-vă la Mine şi veţi fi mântuiţi, toţi cei ce locuiţi până la marginile pământului, căci Eu sunt Dumnezeu, nu există altul!

23 I have sworn by Myself, the word is gone out of My mouth in righteousness and shall not return, that unto Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Am jurat pe Mine Însumi; gura Mea a rostit, cu dreptate, un cuvânt ce nu va fi retras: orice genunchi se va pleca înaintea Mea, şi orice limbă va jura,

24 O nly in the Lord shall one say, I have righteousness (salvation and victory) and strength. To Him shall all come who were incensed against Him, and they shall be ashamed.

spunând despre Mine: ‘Numai în Domnul este dreptate şi putere!’». Toţi cei ce au fost mâniaţi pe El vor veni la El şi vor fi făcuţi de ruşine.

25 I n the Lord shall all the offspring of Israel be justified (enjoy righteousness, salvation, and victory) and shall glory.

În Domnul vor fi îndreptăţiţi şi se vor lăuda toţi urmaşii lui Israel.
