No os olvidéis de mostrar hospitalidad, porque por ella algunos, sin saberlo, hospedaron ángeles.

3 R emember those who are in prison as if you were their fellow prisoner, and those who are ill-treated, since you also are liable to bodily sufferings.

Acordaos de los presos, como si estuvierais presos con ellos, y de los maltratados, puesto que también vosotros estáis en el cuerpo.

4 L et marriage be held in honor (esteemed worthy, precious, of great price, and especially dear) in all things. And thus let the marriage bed be undefiled (kept undishonored); for God will judge and punish the unchaste and adulterous.

Sea el matrimonio honroso en todos, y el lecho matrimonial sin mancilla, porque a los inmorales y a los adúlteros los juzgará Dios.

5 L et your character or moral disposition be free from love of money and be satisfied with your present; for He Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. not, not, not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let down ( relax My hold on you)! '> Assuredly not!]

Sea vuestro carácter sin avaricia, contentos con lo que tenéis, porque El mismo ha dicho: Nunca te dejare ni te desamparare,

6 S o we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm. What can man do to me?

de manera que decimos confiadamente: El Señor es el que me ayuda; no temere. ¿ Que podra hacerme el hombre ?

7 R emember your leaders and superiors in authority who brought to you the Word of God. Observe attentively and consider their manner of living (the outcome of their well-spent lives) and imitate their faith ( their conviction that God exists and is the Creator and Ruler of all things, the Provider and Bestower of eternal salvation through Christ, and their leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness).

Acordaos de vuestros guías que os hablaron la palabra de Dios, y considerando el resultado de su conducta, imitad su fe.

8 J esus Christ (the Messiah) is the same, yesterday, today, and forever (to the ages).

Jesucristo es el mismo ayer y hoy y por los siglos.

9 D o not be carried about by different and varied and alien teachings; for it is good for the heart to be established and ennobled and strengthened by means of grace (God’s favor and spiritual blessing) and not foods, which bring no benefit or profit to those who observe them.

No os dejéis llevar por doctrinas diversas y extrañas, porque buena cosa es para el corazón el ser fortalecido con la gracia, no con alimentos, de los que no recibieron beneficio los que de ellos se ocupaban.

10 W e have an altar from which those who serve and worship in the tabernacle have no right to eat.

Nosotros tenemos un altar del cual no tienen derecho a comer los que sirven al tabernáculo.

11 F or when the blood of animals is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin, the victims’ bodies are burned outside the limits of the camp.

Porque los cuerpos de aquellos animales, cuya sangre es llevada al santuario por el sumo sacerdote como ofrenda por el pecado, son quemados fuera del campamento.

12 T herefore Jesus also suffered and died outside the gate in order that He might purify and consecrate the people through His own blood and set them apart as holy.

Por lo cual también Jesús, para santificar al pueblo mediante su propia sangre, padeció fuera de la puerta.

13 L et us then go forth to Him outside the camp, bearing the contempt and abuse and shame with Him.

Así pues, salgamos a El fuera del campamento, llevando su oprobio.

14 F or here we have no permanent city, but we are looking for the one which is to come.

Porque no tenemos aquí una ciudad permanente, sino que buscamos la que está por venir.

15 T hrough Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.

Por tanto, ofrezcamos continuamente mediante El, sacrificio de alabanza a Dios, es decir, el fruto de labios que confiesan su nombre.

16 D o not forget or neglect to do kindness and good, to be generous and distribute and contribute to the needy '> as embodiment and proof of fellowship], for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

Y no os olvidéis de hacer el bien y de la ayuda mutua, porque de tales sacrificios se agrada Dios.

17 O bey your spiritual leaders and submit to them, for they are constantly keeping watch over your souls and guarding your spiritual welfare, as men who will have to render an account. let them do this with gladness and not with sighing and groaning, for that would not be profitable to you.

Obedeced a vuestros pastores y sujetaos a ellos, porque ellos velan por vuestras almas, como quienes han de dar cuenta. Permitidles que lo hagan con alegría y no quejándose, porque eso no sería provechoso para vosotros. Bendición y saludos finales

18 K eep praying for us, for we are convinced that we have a good (clear) conscience, that we want to walk uprightly and live a noble life, acting honorably and in complete honesty in all things.

Orad por nosotros, pues confiamos en que tenemos una buena conciencia, deseando conducirnos honradamente en todo.

19 A nd I beg of you the more earnestly, in order that I may be restored to you the sooner.

Y aún más, os exhorto a hacer esto, a fin de que yo os sea restituido muy pronto.

20 N ow may the God of peace, Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),

Y el Dios de paz, que resucitó de entre los muertos a Jesús nuestro Señor, el gran Pastor de las ovejas mediante la sangre del pacto eterno,

21 S trengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah); to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages). Amen (so be it).

os haga aptos en toda obra buena para hacer su voluntad, obrando El en nosotros lo que es agradable delante de El mediante Jesucristo, a quien sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.

22 I call on you, brethren, to listen patiently and bear with this message of exhortation and admonition and encouragement, for I have written to you briefly.

Os ruego, hermanos, que soportéis la palabra de exhortación, pues os he escrito brevemente.

23 N otice that our brother Timothy has been released. If he comes here soon, I will see you along with him.

Sabed que nuestro hermano Timoteo ha sido puesto en libertad, con el cual, si viene pronto, os he de ver.

24 G ive our greetings to all of your spiritual leaders and to all of the saints (God’s consecrated believers). The Italian Christians send you their greetings.

Saludad a todos vuestros pastores y a todos los santos. Los de Italia os saludan.
