1 H ave mercy upon me, O God, according to Your steadfast love; according to the multitude of Your tender mercy and loving-kindness blot out my transgressions.

Ten piedad de mí, oh Dios, conforme a tu misericordia; conforme a lo inmenso de tu compasión, borra mis transgresiones.

2 W ash me thoroughly from my iniquity and guilt and cleanse me and make me wholly pure from my sin!

Lávame por completo de mi maldad, y límpiame de mi pecado.

3 F or I am conscious of my transgressions and I acknowledge them; my sin is ever before me.

Porque yo reconozco mis transgresiones, y mi pecado está siempre delante de mí.

4 A gainst You, You only, have I sinned and done that which is evil in Your sight, so that You are justified in Your sentence and faultless in Your judgment.

Contra ti, contra ti sólo he pecado, y he hecho lo malo delante de tus ojos, de manera que eres justo cuando hablas, y sin reproche cuando juzgas.

5 B ehold, I was brought forth in iniquity; my mother was sinful who conceived me.

He aquí, yo nací en iniquidad, y en pecado me concibió mi madre.

6 B ehold, You desire truth in the inner being; make me therefore to know wisdom in my inmost heart.

He aquí, tú deseas la verdad en lo más íntimo, y en lo secreto me harás conocer sabiduría.

7 P urify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Purifícame con hisopo, y seré limpio; lávame, y seré más blanco que la nieve.

8 M ake me to hear joy and gladness and be satisfied; let the bones which You have broken rejoice.

Hazme oír gozo y alegría; que se regocijen los huesos que has quebrantado.

9 H ide Your face from my sins and blot out all my guilt and iniquities.

Esconde tu rostro de mis pecados, y borra todas mis iniquidades.

10 C reate in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me.

Crea en mí, oh Dios, un corazón limpio, y renueva un espíritu recto dentro de mí.

11 C ast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me.

No me eches de tu presencia, y no quites de mí tu santo Espíritu.

12 R estore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Restitúyeme el gozo de tu salvación, y sostenme con un espíritu de poder.

13 T hen will I teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted and return to You.

Entonces enseñaré a los transgresores tus caminos, y los pecadores se convertirán a ti.

14 D eliver me from bloodguiltiness and death, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness (Your rightness and Your justice).

Líbrame de delitos de sangre, oh Dios, Dios de mi salvación; entonces mi lengua cantará con gozo tu justicia.

15 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise.

Abre mis labios, oh Señor, para que mi boca anuncie tu alabanza.

16 F or You delight not in sacrifice, or else would I give it; You find no pleasure in burnt offering.

Porque no te deleitas en sacrificio, de lo contrario yo lo ofrecería; no te agrada el holocausto.

17 M y sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, such, O God, You will not despise.

Los sacrificios de Dios son el espíritu contrito; al corazón contrito y humillado, oh Dios, no despreciarás.

18 D o good in Your good pleasure to Zion; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

Haz bien con tu benevolencia a Sion; edifica los muros de Jerusalén.

19 T hen will You delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, justice, and right, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering; then bullocks will be offered upon Your altar.

Entonces te agradarán los sacrificios de justicia, el holocausto y el sacrificio perfecto; entonces se ofrecerán novillos sobre tu altar.
