1 B e merciful and gracious to me, O God, for man would trample me or devour me; all the day long the adversary oppresses me.

Ten piedad de mí, oh Dios, porque el hombre me ha pisoteado; me oprime combatiéndome todo el día.

2 T hey that lie in wait for me would swallow me up or trample me all day long, for they are many who fight against me, O Most High!

Mis enemigos me han pisoteado todo el día, porque muchos son los que con soberbia pelean contra mí.

3 W hat time I am afraid, I will have confidence in and put my trust and reliance in You.

El día en que temo, yo en ti confío.

4 B y God I will praise His word; on God I lean, rely, and confidently put my trust; I will not fear. What can man, who is flesh, do to me?

En Dios, cuya palabra alabo, en Dios he confiado, no temeré. ¿Qué puede hacerme el hombre ?

5 A ll day long they twist my words and trouble my affairs; all their thoughts are against me for evil and my hurt.

Todo el día pervierten mis palabras; todos sus pensamientos contra mí son para mal.

6 T hey gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they watch my steps, even as they have waited for my life.

Atacan, se esconden, espían mis pasos, como esperando para quitarme la vida.

7 T hey think to escape with iniquity, and shall they? In Your indignation bring down the peoples, O God.

Por causa de la iniquidad, arrójalos, en tu ira humilla a los pueblos, oh Dios.

8 Y ou number and record my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle—are they not in Your book?

Tú has tomado en cuenta mi vida errante; pon mis lágrimas en tu redoma; ¿ acaso no están en tu libro ?

9 T hen shall my enemies turn back in the day that I cry out; this I know, for God is for me.

Entonces mis enemigos retrocederán el día en que yo te invoque. Esto sé: que Dios está a favor mío.

10 I n God, Whose word I praise, in the Lord, Whose word I praise,

En Dios, cuya palabra alabo, en el Señor, cuya palabra honro;

11 I n God have I put my trust and confident reliance; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

en Dios he confiado, no temeré. ¿Qué puede hacerme el hombre?

12 Y our vows are upon me, O God; I will render praise to You and give You thank offerings.

Están sobre mí, oh Dios, los votos que te hice; ofrendas de acción de gracias te ofreceré.

13 F or You have delivered my life from death, yes, and my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life and of the living.

Pues tú has librado mi alma de la muerte, y mis pies de tropiezo, para que yo pueda andar delante de Dios en la luz de la vida.
