1 T herefore, now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.

Por consiguiente, no hay ahora condenación para los que están en Cristo Jesús, los que no andan conforme a la carne sino conforme al Espíritu.

2 F or the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and of death.

Porque la ley del Espíritu de vida en Cristo Jesús te ha libertado de la ley del pecado y de la muerte.

3 F or God has done what the Law could not do, being weakened by the flesh '> the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit]. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, condemned sin in the flesh '> subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice],

Pues lo que la ley no pudo hacer, ya que era débil por causa de la carne, Dios lo hizo: enviando a su propio Hijo en semejanza de carne de pecado y como ofrenda por el pecado, condenó al pecado en la carne,

4 S o that the righteous and just requirement of the Law might be fully met in us who live and move not in the ways of the flesh but in the ways of the Spirit.

para que el requisito de la ley se cumpliera en nosotros, que no andamos conforme a la carne, sino conforme al Espíritu.

5 F or those who are according to the flesh and are controlled by its unholy desires set their minds on and pursue those things which gratify the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit and are controlled by the desires of the Spirit set their minds on and seek those things which gratify the Spirit.

Porque los que viven conforme a la carne, ponen la mente en las cosas de la carne, pero los que viven conforme al Espíritu, en las cosas del Espíritu.

6 N ow the mind of the flesh is death '> comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the Spirit is life and peace.

Porque la mente puesta en la carne es muerte, pero la mente puesta en el Espíritu es vida y paz;

7 b ecause the mind of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God’s Law; indeed it cannot.

ya que la mente puesta en la carne es enemiga de Dios, porque no se sujeta a la ley de Dios, pues ni siquiera puede hacerlo,

8 S o then those who are living the life of the flesh cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him.

y los que están en la carne no pueden agradar a Dios. Viviendo según el Espíritu

9 B ut you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the Spirit of God dwells within you. But if anyone does not possess the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.

Sin embargo, vosotros no estáis en la carne sino en el Espíritu, si en verdad el Espíritu de Dios habita en vosotros. Pero si alguno no tiene el Espíritu de Cristo, el tal no es de El.

10 B ut if Christ lives in you, your body is dead by reason of sin and guilt, the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

Y si Cristo está en vosotros, aunque el cuerpo esté muerto a causa del pecado, sin embargo, el espíritu está vivo a causa de la justicia.

11 A nd if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.

Pero si el Espíritu de aquel que resucitó a Jesús de entre los muertos habita en vosotros, el mismo que resucitó a Cristo Jesús de entre los muertos, también dará vida a vuestros cuerpos mortales por medio de su Espíritu que habita en vosotros.

12 S o then, brethren, we are debtors, but not to the flesh, to live of the flesh.

Así que, hermanos, somos deudores, no a la carne, para vivir conforme a la carne,

13 F or if you live according to the flesh, you will surely die. But if through the power of the Spirit you are putting to death (making extinct, deadening) the deeds prompted by the body, you shall live forever.

porque si vivís conforme a la carne, habréis de morir; pero si por el Espíritu hacéis morir las obras de la carne, viviréis.

14 F or all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Porque todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios, los tales son hijos de Dios.

15 F or you have now received not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption in which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father!

Pues no habéis recibido un espíritu de esclavitud para volver otra vez al temor, sino que habéis recibido un espíritu de adopción como hijos, por el cual clamamos: ¡Abba, Padre!

16 T he Spirit Himself testifies together with our own spirit, that we are children of God.

El Espíritu mismo da testimonio a nuestro espíritu de que somos hijos de Dios,

17 A nd if we are children, then we are heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.

y si hijos, también herederos; herederos de Dios y coherederos con Cristo, si en verdad padecemos con El a fin de que también seamos glorificados con El. La gloria futura

18 F or I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us!

Pues considero que los sufrimientos de este tiempo presente no son dignos de ser comparados con la gloria que nos ha de ser revelada.

19 F or creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known.

Porque el anhelo profundo de la creación es aguardar ansiosamente la revelación de los hijos de Dios.

20 F or the creation (nature) was subjected to frailty (to futility, condemned to frustration), not because of some intentional fault on its part, but by the will of Him Who so subjected it— with the hope

Porque la creación fue sometida a vanidad, no de su propia voluntad, sino por causa de aquel que la sometió, en la esperanza

21 T hat nature (creation) itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and corruption into the glorious freedom of God’s children.

de que la creación misma será también liberada de la esclavitud de la corrupción a la libertad de la gloria de los hijos de Dios.

22 W e know that the whole creation has been moaning together in the pains of labor until now.

Pues sabemos que la creación entera a una gime y sufre dolores de parto hasta ahora.

23 A nd not only the creation, but we ourselves too, who have and enjoy the firstfruits of the Spirit groan inwardly as we wait for the redemption of our bodies our adoption (our manifestation as God’s sons).

Y no sólo ella, sino que también nosotros mismos, que tenemos las primicias del Espíritu, aun nosotros mismos gemimos en nuestro interior, aguardando ansiosamente la adopción como hijos, la redención de nuestro cuerpo.

24 F or in hope we were saved. But hope which is seen is not hope. For how can one hope for what he already sees?

Porque en esperanza hemos sido salvos, pero la esperanza que se ve no es esperanza, pues, ¿por qué esperar lo que uno ve?

25 B ut if we hope for what is still unseen by us, we wait for it with patience and composure.

Pero si esperamos lo que no vemos, con paciencia lo aguardamos. Victoriosos en Cristo

26 S o too the Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.

Y de la misma manera, también el Espíritu nos ayuda en nuestra debilidad; porque no sabemos orar como debiéramos, pero el Espíritu mismo intercede por nosotros con gemidos indecibles;

27 A nd He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes and pleads in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will.

y aquel que escudriña los corazones sabe cuál es el sentir del Espíritu, porque El intercede por los santos conforme a la voluntad de Dios.

28 W e are assured and know that '> God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are for good to and for those who love God and are called according to design and purpose.

Y sabemos que para los que aman a Dios, todas las cosas cooperan para bien, esto es, para los que son llamados conforme a su propósito.

29 F or those whom He foreknew '> aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning to be molded into the image of His Son, that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.

Porque a los que de antemano conoció, también los predestinó a ser hechos conforme a la imagen de su Hijo, para que El sea el primogénito entre muchos hermanos;

30 A nd those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified.

y a los que predestinó, a ésos también llamó; y a los que llamó, a ésos también justificó; y a los que justificó, a ésos también glorificó.

31 W hat then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who against us?

Entonces, ¿qué diremos a esto? Si Dios está por nosotros, ¿quién estará contra nosotros ?

32 H e who did not withhold or spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all things?

El que no eximió ni a su propio Hijo, sino que lo entregó por todos nosotros, ¿cómo no nos concederá también con El todas las cosas?

33 W ho shall bring any charge against God’s elect God Who justifies

¿Quién acusará a los escogidos de Dios ? Dios es el que justifica.

34 W ho is there to condemn ? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us?

¿Quién es el que condena ? Cristo Jesús es el que murió, sí, más aún, el que resucitó, el que además está a la diestra de Dios, el que también intercede por nosotros.

35 W ho shall ever separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword?

¿Quién nos separará del amor de Cristo ? ¿Tribulación, o angustia, o persecución, o hambre, o desnudez, o peligro, o espada ?

36 E ven as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter.

Tal como está escrito: Por causa tuya somos puestos a muerte todo el dia; somos considerados como ovejas para el matadero.

37 Y et amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.

Pero en todas estas cosas somos más que vencedores por medio de aquel que nos amó.

38 F or I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers,

Porque estoy convencido de que ni la muerte, ni la vida, ni ángeles, ni principados, ni lo presente, ni lo por venir, ni los poderes,

39 N or height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

ni lo alto, ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra cosa creada nos podrá separar del amor de Dios que es en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro.
