1 G ive ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You Who lead Joseph like a flock; You Who sit enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth

Presta oído, oh Pastor de Israel; tú que guías a José como un rebaño; tú que estás sentado más alto que los querubines; ¡resplandece!

2 B efore Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh! Stir up Your might, and come to save us!

Delante de Efraín, de Benjamín y de Manasés, despierta tu poder y ven a salvarnos.

3 R estore us again, O God; and cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved!

Restáuranos, oh Dios, y haz resplandecer tu rostro sobre nosotros, y seremos salvos.

4 O Lord God of hosts, how long will You be angry with Your people’s prayers?

Oh Señor, Dios de los ejércitos, ¿hasta cuándo estarás airado contra la oración de tu pueblo?

5 Y ou have fed them with the bread of tears, and You have given them tears to drink in large measure.

Les has dado a comer pan de lágrimas, y les has hecho beber lágrimas en gran abundancia.

6 Y ou make us a strife and scorn to our neighbors, and our enemies laugh among themselves.

Nos haces objeto de contienda para nuestros vecinos, y nuestros enemigos se ríen entre sí.

7 R estore us again, O God of hosts; and cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved!

Oh Dios de los ejércitos, restáuranos; haz resplandecer tu rostro sobre nosotros, y seremos salvos.

8 Y ou brought a vine out of Egypt; You drove out the nations and planted it.

Tú removiste una vid de Egipto; expulsaste las naciones y la plantaste.

9 Y ou prepared room before it, and it took deep root and it filled the land.

Limpiaste el terreno delante de ella; echó profundas raíces y llenó la tierra.

10 T he mountains were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs of it were like the great cedars.

Los montes fueron cubiertos con su sombra, y los cedros de Dios con sus ramas.

11 s ent out its boughs to the Sea and its branches to the River.

Extendía sus ramas hasta el mar, y sus renuevos hasta el río.

12 W hy have You broken down its hedges and walls so that all who pass by pluck from its fruit?

¿Por qué has derribado sus vallados, de modo que la vendimian todos los que pasan de camino?

13 T he boar out of the wood wastes it and the wild beast of the field feeds on it.

El puerco montés la devora, y de ella se alimenta todo lo que se mueve en el campo.

14 T urn again, we beseech You, O God of hosts! Look down from heaven and see, visit, and have regard for this vine!

Oh Dios de los ejércitos, vuelve ahora, te rogamos; mira y ve desde el cielo, y cuida esta vid,

15 t he stock which Your right hand planted, and the branch (the son) that You have reared and made strong for Yourself.

la cepa que tu diestra ha plantado y el vástago que para ti has fortalecido.

16 T hey have burned it with fire, it is cut down; may they perish at the rebuke of Your countenance.

Está quemada con fuego, y cortada; ante el reproche de tu rostro perecen.

17 L et Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, upon the son of man whom You have made strong for Yourself.

Sea tu mano sobre el hombre de tu diestra, sobre el hijo de hombre que para ti fortaleciste.

18 T hen will we not depart from You; revive us (give us life) and we will call upon Your name.

Entonces no nos apartaremos de ti; avívanos, e invocaremos tu nombre.

19 R estore us, O Lord God of hosts; cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved!

Oh Señor, Dios de los ejércitos, restáuranos; haz resplandecer tu rostro sobre nosotros y seremos salvos.
