1 H ave mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

Ten piedad de mí, oh Dios, conforme a tu misericordia; conforme a lo inmenso de tu compasión, borra mis transgresiones.

2 W ash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

Lávame por completo de mi maldad, y límpiame de mi pecado.

3 F or I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

Porque yo reconozco mis transgresiones, y mi pecado está siempre delante de mí.

4 A gainst thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

Contra ti, contra ti sólo he pecado, y he hecho lo malo delante de tus ojos, de manera que eres justo cuando hablas, y sin reproche cuando juzgas.

5 B ehold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

He aquí, yo nací en iniquidad, y en pecado me concibió mi madre.

6 B ehold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

He aquí, tú deseas la verdad en lo más íntimo, y en lo secreto me harás conocer sabiduría.

7 P urge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Purifícame con hisopo, y seré limpio; lávame, y seré más blanco que la nieve.

8 M ake me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

Hazme oír gozo y alegría; que se regocijen los huesos que has quebrantado.

9 H ide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

Esconde tu rostro de mis pecados, y borra todas mis iniquidades.

10 C reate in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Crea en mí, oh Dios, un corazón limpio, y renueva un espíritu recto dentro de mí.

11 C ast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

No me eches de tu presencia, y no quites de mí tu santo Espíritu.

12 R estore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Restitúyeme el gozo de tu salvación, y sostenme con un espíritu de poder.

13 T hen will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Entonces enseñaré a los transgresores tus caminos, y los pecadores se convertirán a ti.

14 D eliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

Líbrame de delitos de sangre, oh Dios, Dios de mi salvación; entonces mi lengua cantará con gozo tu justicia.

15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

Abre mis labios, oh Señor, para que mi boca anuncie tu alabanza.

16 F or thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

Porque no te deleitas en sacrificio, de lo contrario yo lo ofrecería; no te agrada el holocausto.

17 T he sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Los sacrificios de Dios son el espíritu contrito; al corazón contrito y humillado, oh Dios, no despreciarás.

18 D o good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

Haz bien con tu benevolencia a Sion; edifica los muros de Jerusalén.

19 T hen shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

Entonces te agradarán los sacrificios de justicia, el holocausto y el sacrificio perfecto; entonces se ofrecerán novillos sobre tu altar.
