1 S o king Solomon was king over all Israel.

2 A nd these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

4 A nd Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

Benaía, hijo de Joiada, estaba sobre el ejército; y Sadoc y Abiatar eran sacerdotes;

5 a nd Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:

Azarías, hijo de Natán, estaba sobre los oficiales; y Zabud, hijo de Natán, un sacerdote, era amigo del rey;

6 a nd Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

Ahisar, era el mayordomo; y Adoniram, hijo de Abda, estaba sobre los hombres sujetos a trabajos forzados.

7 A nd Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

Salomón tenía doce oficiales sobre todo Israel, los cuales abastecían al rey y a su casa. Cada uno tenía que hacerlo un mes en el año.

8 A nd these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

9   the son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan:

10   the son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:

11   the son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

12 B aana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:

13   the son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:

14 A hinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:

Ahinadab, hijo de Iddo, en Mahanaim;

15 A himaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

Ahimaas en Neftalí (también se casó con Basemat, hija de Salomón);

16 B aanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:

Baana, hijo de Husai, en Aser y Bealot;

17 J ehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

Josafat, hijo de Parúa, en Isacar;

18 S himei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

Simei, hijo de Ela, en Benjamín;

19 G eber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.

Geber, hijo de Uri, en la tierra de Galaad, la región de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, y de Og, rey de Basán; él era el único gobernador que estaba en aquella tierra.

20 J udah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

Judá e Israel eran tan numerosos como la arena que está en abundancia a la orilla del mar; comían, bebían y se alegraban. Poder, riqueza y sabiduría de Salomón

21 A nd Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

Salomón gobernaba todos los reinos desde el Río hasta la tierra de los filisteos y hasta la frontera de Egipto; ellos trajeron tributo y sirvieron a Salomón todos los días de su vida.

22 A nd Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

La provisión de Salomón para un día era de treinta coros de flor de harina y sesenta coros de harina,

23 t en fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

24 F or he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

Porque él tenía señorío sobre todo el occidente del Río, desde Tifsa hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes al occidente del Río; y tuvo paz por todos lados a su alrededor.

25 A nd Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.

Y Judá e Israel vivieron seguros, cada uno bajo su parra y bajo su higuera, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, todos los días de Salomón.

26 A nd Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

Salomón tenía cuarenta mil establos de caballos para sus carros y doce mil jinetes.

27 A nd those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

Y los gobernadores abastecían, cada uno un mes, al rey Salomón y a todos los que venían a la mesa del rey Salomón; no dejaban que faltara nada.

28 B arley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

También llevaban, cada uno según su obligación, cebada y paja para los caballos de tiro y los corceles al lugar donde debieran estar.

29 A nd God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

Dios dio a Salomón sabiduría, gran discernimiento y amplitud de corazón como la arena que está a la orilla del mar.

30 A nd Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

Y la sabiduría de Salomón sobrepasó la sabiduría de todos los hijos del oriente y toda la sabiduría de Egipto.

31 F or he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

Porque era más sabio que todos los hombres, más que Etán ezraíta, Hemán, Calcol y Darda, hijos de Mahol; y su fama fue conocida por todas las naciones de alrededor.

32 A nd he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

También pronunció tres mil proverbios, y sus cantares fueron mil cinco.

33 A nd he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

Disertó sobre los árboles, desde el cedro que está en el Líbano hasta el hisopo que crece en la pared; también habló de ganados, aves, reptiles y peces.

34 A nd there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

Y venían de todos los pueblos para oír la sabiduría de Salomón, de parte de todos los reyes de la tierra que habían oído de su sabiduría.
