1 T he Mighty One, God, the Lord, has spoken, And summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.

2 O ut of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth.
De Sión, perfección de hermosura, Ha Dios resplandecido.
3 M ay our God come and not keep silence; Fire devours before Him, And it is very tempestuous around Him.
Vendrá nuestro Dios, y no callará: Fuego consumirá delante de él, Y en derredor suyo habrá tempestad grande.
4 H e summons the heavens above, And the earth, to judge His people:
Convocará á los cielos de arriba, Y á la tierra, para juzgar á su pueblo.
5 “ Gather My godly ones to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”
Juntadme mis santos; Los que hicieron conmigo pacto con sacrificio.
6 A nd the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is judge. Selah.
Y denunciarán los cielos su justicia; Porque Dios es el juez. (Selah.)
7 “ Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you; I am God, your God.
Oye, pueblo mío, y hablaré: Escucha, Israel, y testificaré contra ti: Yo soy Dios, el Dios tuyo.
8 “ I do not reprove you for your sacrifices, And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.
No te reprenderé sobre tus sacrificios, Ni por tus holocaustos, que delante de mí están siempre.
9 “ I shall take no young bull out of your house Nor male goats out of your folds.
No tomaré de tu casa becerros, Ni machos cabríos de tus apriscos.
10 “ For every beast of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills.
Porque mía es toda bestia del bosque, Y los millares de animales en los collados.
11 “ I know every bird of the mountains, And everything that moves in the field is Mine.
Conozco todas las aves de los montes, Y en mi poder están las fieras del campo.
12 “ If I were hungry I would not tell you, For the world is Mine, and all it contains.
Si yo tuviese hambre, no te lo diría á ti: Porque mío es el mundo y su plenitud.
13 “ Shall I eat the flesh of bulls Or drink the blood of male goats?
¿Tengo de comer yo carne de toros, O de beber sangre de machos cabríos?
14 “ Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving And pay your vows to the Most High;
Sacrifica á Dios alabanza, Y paga tus votos al Altísimo.
15 C all upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.”
E invócame en el día de la angustia: Te libraré, y tú me honrarás.
16 B ut to the wicked God says, “What right have you to tell of My statutes And to take My covenant in your mouth?
Pero al malo dijo Dios: ¿Qué tienes tú que enarrar mis leyes, Y que tomar mi pacto en tu boca,
17 “ For you hate discipline, And you cast My words behind you.
Pues que tú aborreces el castigo, Y echas á tu espalda mis palabras?
18 “ When you see a thief, you are pleased with him, And you associate with adulterers.
Si veías al ladrón, tú corrías con él; Y con los adúlteros era tu parte.
19 “ You let your mouth loose in evil And your tongue frames deceit.
Tu boca metías en mal, Y tu lengua componía engaño.
20 “ You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son.
Tomabas asiento, y hablabas contra tu hermano: Contra el hijo de tu madre ponías infamia.
21 “ These things you have done and I kept silence; You thought that I was just like you; I will reprove you and state the case in order before your eyes.
Estas cosas hiciste, y yo he callado: Pensabas que de cierto sería yo como tú: Yo te argüiré, y pondré las delante de tus ojos.
22 “ Now consider this, you who forget God, Or I will tear you in pieces, and there will be none to deliver.
Entended ahora esto, los que os olvidáis de Dios; No sea que arrebate, sin que nadie libre.
23 “ He who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way aright I shall show the salvation of God.”
El que sacrifica alabanza me honrará: Y al que ordenare su camino, Le mostraré la salud de Dios.
