1 D eliver me from my enemies, O my God; Set me securely on high away from those who rise up against me.

2 D eliver me from those who do iniquity And save me from men of bloodshed.

Líbrame de los que obran iniquidad, Y sálvame de hombres sanguinarios.

3 F or behold, they have set an ambush for my life; Fierce men launch an attack against me, Not for my transgression nor for my sin, O Lord,

Porque he aquí están acechando mi vida: Hanse juntado contra mí fuertes, No por falta mía, ni pecado mío, oh Jehová.

4 F or no guilt of mine, they run and set themselves against me. Arouse Yourself to help me, and see!

Sin delito mío corren y se aperciben: Despierta para venir á mi encuentro, y mira.

5 Y ou, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, Awake to punish all the nations; Do not be gracious to any who are treacherous in iniquity. Selah.

Y tú, Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, Despierta para visitar todas las gentes: No hayas misericordia de todos los que se rebelan con iniquidad. (Selah.)

6 T hey return at evening, they howl like a dog, And go around the city.

Volveránse á la tarde, ladrarán como perros, Y rodearán la ciudad.

7 B ehold, they belch forth with their mouth; Swords are in their lips, For, they say, “ Who hears?”

He aquí proferirán con su boca; Cuchillos están en sus labios, Porque dicen: ¿Quién oye?

8 B ut You, O Lord, laugh at them; You scoff at all the nations.

Mas tú, Jehová, te reirás de ellos, Te burlarás de todas las gentes.

9 B ecause of his strength I will watch for You, For God is my stronghold.

De su fuerza esperaré yo en ti: Porque Dios es mi defensa.

10 M y God in His lovingkindness will meet me; God will let me look triumphantly upon my foes.

El Dios de mi misericordia me prevendrá: Dios me hará ver en mis enemigos mi deseo.

11 D o not slay them, or my people will forget; Scatter them by Your power, and bring them down, O Lord, our shield.

No los matarás, porque mi pueblo no se olvide: Hazlos vagar con tu fortaleza, y abátelos. Oh Jehová, escudo nuestro,

12 O n account of the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips, Let them even be caught in their pride, And on account of curses and lies which they utter.

Por el pecado de su boca, por la palabra de sus labios; Y sean presos por su soberbia, Y por la maldición y mentira que profieren.

13 D estroy them in wrath, destroy them that they may be no more; That men may know that God rules in Jacob To the ends of the earth. Selah.

Acábalos con furor, acábalos, y no sean: Y sepan que Dios domina en Jacob Hasta los fines de la tierra. (Selah).

14 T hey return at evening, they howl like a dog, And go around the city.

Vuelvan pues á la tarde, y ladren como perros, Y rodeen la ciudad.

15 T hey wander about for food And growl if they are not satisfied.

Anden ellos errantes para hallar qué comer: Y si no se saciaren, murmuren.

16 B ut as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress.

Yo empero cantaré tu fortaleza, Y loaré de mañana tu misericordia: Porque has sido mi amparo Y refugio en el día de mi angustia.

17 O my strength, I will sing praises to You; For God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness.

Fortaleza mía, á ti cantaré; Porque eres Dios de mi amparo, Dios de mi misericordia.
