1 ( По слав. 77). Асафово поучение {Псал. 74, надписът.}. Слушайте, люде мои, поучението ми; Приклонете ушите си към думите на устата ми.

¶ Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

2 Щ е отворя устата си в притча, Ще произнеса гатанки от древността.

I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter enigmas of old,

3 Т ова, което чухме и научихме, И нашите бащи ни разказаха,

which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.

4 Н яма да <го> скрием от чадата им в идното поколение, Но ще повествуваме хвалите на Господа, Неговата сила и чудесните дела, които извърши,

We will not hide them from their sons, showing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD and his strength and his wonderful works that he has done.

5 З ащото Той постави свидетелство в Якова, И положи закон в Израиля, За които заповяда на бащите ни Да ги възвестяват на чадата си,

For he established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their sons:

6 З а да <ги> знае идното поколение, Децата, които щяха да се родят, - Които да настанат и да <ги> разказват на своите чада,

That the generation to come might know them, even the sons which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their sons

7 З а да възложат надеждата си на Бога, И да не забравят делата на Бога, Но да пазят Неговите заповеди,

that they might set their hope in God and not forget the works of God but keep his commandments

8 И да не станат като бащите си, Упорито и непокорно поколение, Поколение, което не утвърди сърцето си. И чийто дух не биде непоколебим за Бога.

and might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not set their heart aright and whose spirit was not steadfast with God.

9 Е фремците, макар въоръжени и запъващи лъкове, Върнаха се назад в деня на боя.

¶ The sons of Ephraim, being armed and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.

10 Н е опазиха завета на Бога, И в закона Му не склониха да ходят,

They did not keep the covenant of God and refused to walk in his law

11 А забравиха Неговите деяния И чудесните дела, които им показа.

and forgot his works and his wonders that he had showed them.

12 П ред бащите им извърши чудеса В Египетската земя, в полето Танис.

He did marvellous things in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.

13 Р аздвои морето и ги преведе, И направи водите да стоят като грамада.

He divided the sea and caused them to pass through, and he made the waters to stand as a heap.

14 В оди ги денем с облак, И цялата нощ с огнена виделина.

In the daytime also he led them with a cloud and all the night with a light of fire.

15 Р азцепи канари в пустинята, И <ги> напои изобилно като от бездни.

He clave the rocks in the wilderness and gave them drink as out of the great depths.

16 И изведе потоци из канарата, И направи да протекат води като реки.

He brought streams also out of the rock and caused waters to run down like rivers.

17 Н о те продължиха да Му съгрешават още И да огорчават Всевишния в безводната страна.

And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.

18 С ъс сърцето си изпитаха Бога, Като искаха ястия за лакомството си {Еврейски: Душата си.},

And they tempted God in their heart by asking for food according to the desires of their soul.

19 И говориха против Бога, казвайки: Може ли Бог да приготви трапеза в пустинята?

And they spoke against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?

20 Е то, Той удари канарата, та потекоха води и потоци преляха; А може ли и хляб да даде, или да достави месо за людете Си?

Behold, he smote the rock that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?

21 З атова Господ чу и се разгневи, И огън пламна против Якова, А още и гняв обсипа Израиля;

Therefore the LORD heard this and was wroth, so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel

22 З ащото не повярваха в Бога, Нито Му уповаха, че ще <ги> избави.

because they had not believed God, nor had they trusted in his saving health;

23 П ри все това Той заповяда на облаците горе, И отвори небесните врати,

and he commanded the clouds of above and opened the doors of the heavens

24 Т а им наваля манна да ядат И даде им небесно жито.

and caused manna to rain upon them to eat and gave them wheat of the heavens.

25 В секи ядеше ангелски хляб {Еврейски: Хлябът на силите. Виж Псал. 103; 20.}; Прати им храна до насита.

Man did eat the food of the strong; he sent them food to the full.

26 П одигна източен вятър на небето, И със силата Си докара южния вятър.

He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven, and by his power he brought in the south wind.

27 Н аваля върху тях и месо <изобилно> като прах, И птици крилати <много> като морския пясък;

He rained flesh also upon them as dust and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea:

28 И направи <ги> да падат всред стана им, Около жилищата им.

And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.

29 И тъй, ядоха и се преситиха, Като им даде това, което желаеха.

So they did eat and were well filled; for he gave them their own desire;

30 А докато още не бяха се отказали от лакомството си, И ястието им беше в устата им,

they were not estranged from their lust. But while their food was yet in their mouths,

31 Г невът Божий ги обсипа та изби по-тлъстите от тях, И повали отборните на Израиля.

the wrath of God came upon them and slew the fattest of them and smote down the chosen of Israel.

32 П ри всичко това, те следваха да съгрешават, И не вярваха поради чудесните Му дела.

For all this they sinned still and did not give him credit for his wondrous works.

33 З атова Той изнуряваше дните им със суета, И годините им с ужас.

Therefore he consumed their days in vanity and their years in tribulation.

34 К огато ги умъртвяваше, тогава питаха за Него, Та изново търсеха Бога ревностно;

When he slew them, then they sought him, and they returned and enquired early after God.

35 И спомниха, че Бог им беше канара, И всевишният Бог техен изкупител.

And they remembered that God was their rock and the high God their redeemer.

36 Н о с устата си Го ласкаеха, И с езика си Го лъжеха;

Nevertheless they flattered him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues.

37 З ащото сърцето им не беше право пред Него, Нито бяха верни на завета Му.

For their heart was not right with him, neither were they steadfast in his covenant.

38 Н о Той, като многомилостив, прощаваше беззаконието <им> и не <ги> погубваше; Да! много пъти въздържаше гнева Си, И не подигаше всичкото Си негодувание;

But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity and did not destroy them; many a time turned he his anger away and did not stir up all his wrath.

39 И си спомняше, че бяха плът, Вятър, който прехожда и не се връща.

For he remembered that they were but flesh: a wind that passes away and does not come again.

40 К олко пъти Го огорчаваха в пустинята И Го разгневяваха в безводната страна,

¶ How often did they provoke him in the wilderness and grieve him in the desert!

41 К ато изново изпитваха Бога, И предизвикваха Светия Израилев!

And they turned back and tempted God and limited the Holy One of Israel.

42 Н е си спомнюваха <силата на> ръката Му В деня, когато ги избави от противника,

They did not remember his hand, nor the day when he ransomed them from anguish.

43 К ак показа в Египет знаменията Си, И чудесата на полето Танис,

How he had wrought his signs in Egypt and his wonders in the field of Zoan

44 И превърна вадите им в кръв, И потоците им, та не можаха да пият;

and had turned their rivers into blood and their floods, that they could not drink.

45 & lt;Как> прати върху тях рояци мухи, които ги изпоядоха, И жаби, които ги изпогубиха,

He sent swarms of flies among them, which devoured them, and frogs, which destroyed them.

46 И предаде произведенията им на гъсеници, И трудовете им на скакалци;

He gave also their fruits unto the caterpillar and their works unto the locust.

47 & lt;Как> порази с град лозята им, И със светкавици черниците им,

He destroyed their vines with hail and their wild fig trees with stones.

48 И предаде на град добитъка им, И стадата им на мълнии;

He gave up their cattle also to the hail and their flocks to thunderbolts of fire.

49 & lt;Как> изля върху тях пламенния Си гняв, Негодуване, ярост и неволя, - Нашествие на ангелите на злощастието, -

He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation and trouble by sending evil angels among them.

50 И зравни пътя за гнева Си, Не пощади от смърт душата им, Но предаде на мор живота им;

He made a way to his anger; he did not spare their soul from death but gave their life over to the pestilence

51 & lt;Как> порази всеки първороден заведе ги като стадо в Египет, Първака на силите <им> в шатрите на Хама,

and smote all the firstborn in Egypt, the firstfruits of their strength in the tents of Ham:

52 А людете Си изведе като овце и заведе ги като стадо в пустинята,

But made his own people to go forth like sheep and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.

53 И води ги безопасно, така щото не се бояха, А неприятелите им - морето <ги> покри;

And he led them on safely, so that they feared not; but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.

54 & lt;Как> ги въведе в светия Си предел. В тая поляна, която десницата Му придоби,

And he brought them into the borders of his holiness, into this mountain, which his right hand had purchased.

55 И изгони пред тях народите, Та им ги раздели за наследство с въже, И в шатрите им настани Израилевите племена.

He cast out the Gentiles also before them and divided them an inheritance by line and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their habitations.

56 Н о въпреки това те изпитваха Всевишния Бог и се бунтуваха против <Него>, И не пазеха наредбите Му,

Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God and did not keep his testimonies:

57 Н о връщаха се назад, и обхождаха се невярно както бащите им; Измятаха се като неверен лък.

But turned back and rebelled like their fathers; they became like a deceitful bow.

58 З ащото Го разгневяваха с високите си места, И с ваяните си идоли Го подбуждаха към ревност.

For they provoked him to anger with their high places and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.

59 Ч у Бог и възнегодува, И много се погнуси от Израиля,

God heard this and was wroth and greatly abhorred Israel:

60 Т ъй че напусна скинията в Сило, Шатъра, който бе поставил между човеците,

For this reason he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent in which he dwelt among men

61 И предаде на пленение Силата Си, Славата Си в неприятелска ръка.

and delivered his strength into captivity and his glory into the enemy’s hand.

62 Т оже и людете Си предаде на меч, Като се разгневи на наследството Си.

He gave his people over also unto the sword and was wroth with his inheritance.

63 О гън пояде момците им, И девиците им не се възпяваха с венчални песни.

The fire consumed their young men; and their virgins were not honored in marriage songs.

64 С вещениците им паднаха от нож; И вдовиците им не плакаха.

Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows made no lamentation.

65 Т огава се събуди Господ като от сън, Като силен мъж, който <ободрен> от вино, вика;

Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep and like a mighty man that shouts by reason of wine.

66 И , като порази враговете Си, отблъсна ги назад, Та ги предаде на вечно посрамяване.

And he smote his enemies in the hinder parts; he put them to a perpetual reproach.

67 П ри това Той се отказа от Иосифовия шатър, И Ефремовото племе не избра;

Moreover he refused the tent of Joseph and did not choose the tribe of Ephraim:

68 Н о избра Юдовото племе, Хълма Сион, който възлюби.

But chose the tribe of Judah, the Mount Zion which he loved.

69 С ъгради светилището Си като <небесните> възвишения, Като земята, която е утвърдил за винаги.

And he built his sanctuary in preeminence like the earth which he has established for ever.

70 И збра и слугата Си Давида, И го взе от кошарите на овцете;

He chose David also his slave and took him from the sheepfolds,

71 О тподир дойните овци го доведе За да пасе людете Му Якова и наследството Му Израиля.

from following the ewes great with young, he brought him to feed Jacob his people and Israel his inheritance.

72 Т ака той ги пасеше според незлобието на сърцето си, И ги водеше с изкуството на ръцете си.

So he fed them out of the integrity of his heart and guided them by the intelligence of his hands.
