1 ( По слав. 34). Давидов <псалом. > Бори се, Господи, с ония, които се борят с мене; Воювай против ония, които воюват против мене.

¶ Plead my cause, O LORD, with those that strive with me; fight against those that fight against me.

2 В земи оръжие и щит, И стани да ми помагаш.

Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up in my help.

3 И зтръгни и копие, та затвори пътя на гонителите ми; Кажи на душата ми: Аз съм избавител Твой.

Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against those that persecute me; say unto my soul; I am thy saving health.

4 Н ека се посрамят и се опозорят Ония, които искат <да погубят> душата ми; Нека се върнат назад и се смутят Ония, които ми мислят зло.

Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul; let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.

5 Н ека бъдат като плява пред вятъра, И ангел Господен да ги гони.

Let them be as chaff before the wind, and let the angel of the LORD chase them.

6 Н ека бъде пътят им тъмен и плъзгав, И ангел Господен да ги гони.

Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.

7 З ащото без причина скриха за мене мрежата си в трап; Без причина изкопаха <яма> за душата ми.

For without cause they have hid their net for me in a pit, which without cause they have dug for my soul.

8 Д а дойде върху всеки един от тях неочаквана погибел; И мрежата му, която е скрил, нека улови самия него. Той нека падне в същата погибел.

Let destruction come upon him at unawares, and let his net that he has hid catch himself; into that very destruction let him fall.

9 А моята душа ще се весели в Господа, Ще се радва в избавлението Му.

And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD; it shall rejoice in his saving health.

10 В сичките ми кости ще рекат; Господи, кой е подобен на Тебе, Който избавяш сиромаха от по-силния от него, Да! сиромаха и немощния от грабителя му?

All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, who delivers the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoils him?

11 Н есправедливи свидетели въстават И питат ме за <неща>, за които аз не зная <нищо>

¶ False witnesses rose up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.

12 В ъздават ми зло за добро, <За да бъде> в оскъдност душата ми.

They rewarded me evil for good until my soul was alone.

13 А аз, когато те боледуваха, Аз се обличах във вретище, Смирявах с пост душата си, И молитвата ми се връщаше в пазухата ми <и се повтаряше;>

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled my soul with fasting, and my prayer rose up in my bosom.

14 О бхождах се като с приятел, като с мой брат, Ходех наведен и нажален както кога жалее някой майка си.

I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother; I bowed down heavily, as one that mourns for his mother.

15 Н о когато накуцвах в <пътя си>, те се зарадваха и се събраха. Побойници се събраха против мене, - човеци, които аз не знаех; Късаха <ме> без да престават.

But in my adversity they rejoiced and gathered themselves together; yea, the smiters gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they tore me apart and did not cease:

16 К ато нечестивите смешкари в пиршества Скърцаха на мене със зъби.

With immature hypocritical mockers, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

17 Г осподи до кога ще гледаш? Избави душата ми от погубленията им, Живота ми {Еврейски: Едничката ми <душа.>} от <тия> лъвове.

¶ Lord, how long wilt thou look on? Restore my soul from their destructions, my life from the lions.

18 А з ще Те славословя в голямо събрание, Ще Те хваля между многочислени люде.

I will give thee thanks in the great congregation; I will praise thee among many people.

19 Д а не тържествуват над мене Ония, които несправедливо враждуват против мене; Нито да намигват с очи Ония, които ме мразят без причина.

Let not those that are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those that hate me wink with the eye without a cause.

20 З ащото не говорят за мир, Но измислюват лъжливи думи против тихите на земята.

For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful matters against those that are meek in the land.

21 Д а! те отвориха широко срещу мене устата си; Казваха: О, хохо! очите ни видяха!

Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me and said, Aha, aha, our eye has seen it.

22 Т и си видял, Господи, да не премълчиш; Господи, да не се отдалечиш от мене,

This thou hast seen, O LORD; do not keep silence; O Lord, do not be far from me.

23 С тани и събуди се за съда ми; За делото ми, Боже мой и Господи мой.

Stir up thyself and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.

24 С ъди ме, Господи Боже мой, според правдата Си, И да не тържествуват над мене.

Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.

25 Д а не кажат в сърцето си: Ето желанието ни <се изпълни. >Нито да кажат: Погълнахме го.

Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it; let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

26 Д а се посрамят и се опозорят заедно <всички> Ония, които се радват на злощастието ми; Да се облекат със срам и с позор Ония, които се големеят против мене.

Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at my hurt; let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.

27 Д а възклицават и да се зарадват Ония, които благоприятствуват на правото ми дело, И винаги нека казват: Да се възвеличи Господ, Който желае благоденствие на слугата Си.

Let them shout for joy and be glad that favour my righteous cause; let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the peace of his slave.

28 И езикът ми ще разказва Твоята правда И Твоята хвала всеки ден.

And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
