1 B rethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.

¶ Hermanos, ciertamente la voluntad de mi corazón y mi oración a Dios sobre Israel, es para salud.

2 F or I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

Porque yo les doy testimonio que tienen celo de Dios, mas no conforme a ciencia.

3 F or they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

Porque ignorando la justicia de Dios, y procurando establecer la suya propia, no se han sujetado a la justicia de Dios.

4 F or Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Porque el fin de la ley es Cristo, para dar justicia a todo aquel que cree.

5 F or Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.”

Porque Moisés describe la justicia que es por la ley: Que el hombre que hiciere estas cosas, vivirá por ellas.

6 B ut the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down from above )

Mas la justicia que es por la fe dice así: No digas en tu corazón: ¿Quién subirá al cielo? (esto es, para traer de lo alto al Cristo);

7 o r, “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).

o, ¿quién descenderá al abismo? (esto es, para volver a traer el Cristo de los muertos.)

8 B ut what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):

Mas ¿qué dice? Cercana está la palabra, en tu boca y en tu corazón. Esta es la palabra de fe, la cual predicamos:

9 t hat if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Que si confesares con tu boca al Señor Jesús, y creyeres en tu corazón que Dios le levantó de los muertos, serás salvo.

10 F or with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Porque con el corazón se cree para alcanzar justicia; mas con la boca se hace confesión para alcanzar salud.

11 F or the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

Porque la Escritura dice: Todo aquel que en él creyere, no será avergonzado.

12 F or there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.

¶ Porque no hay diferencia de judío y de griego; porque el mismo es el Señor de todos, rico para con todos los que le invocan;

13 F or “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Israel Rejects the Gospel

porque todo aquel que invocare el Nombre del Señor, será salvo.

14 H ow then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

¿Cómo, pues invocarán a aquel en el cual no han creído? ¿Y cómo creerán a aquel de quien no han oído? ¿Y cómo oirán si no hay quién les predique?

15 A nd how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

¿Y cómo predicarán si no fueren enviados? Como está escrito: ¡Cuán hermosos son los pies de los que anuncian el Evangelio de la paz, de los que anuncian el Evangelio de lo que es bueno!

16 B ut they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “L ord, who has believed our report?”

Mas no todos oyen al Evangelio; pues Isaías dice: Señor, ¿quién ha creído a nuestro anuncio?

17 S o then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Luego la fe es por el oír; y el oído, por la palabra de Dios.

18 B ut I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed: “Their sound has gone out to all the earth, And their words to the ends of the world.”

Mas digo: ¿No han oído? Cierto por toda la tierra ha salido la fama de ellos, y hasta los extremos de la redondez de la tierra las palabras de ellos.

19 B ut I say, did Israel not know? First Moses says: “I will provoke you to jealousy by those who are not a nation, I will move you to anger by a foolish nation.”

Mas digo: ¿No ha venido al conocimiento Israel? Primeramente Moisés dice: Yo os provocaré a celos con gente que no es mía; con gente ignorante os provocaré a ira.

20 B ut Isaiah is very bold and says: “I was found by those who did not seek Me; I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me.”

E Isaías osa decir: Fui hallado de los que no me buscaban; me manifesté a los que no preguntaban por mí.

21 B ut to Israel he says: “All day long I have stretched out My hands To a disobedient and contrary people.”

Y contra Israel dice: Todo el día extendí mis manos a un pueblo desobediente y contradictor.
