1 B ut Job answered and said:

Y respondió Job, y dijo:

2 “ How have you helped him who is without power? How have you saved the arm that has no strength?

¿En qué ayudaste al que no tiene fuerza? ¿Has salvado con tu brazo al que no tiene fortaleza?

3 H ow have you counseled one who has no wisdom? And how have you declared sound advice to many?

¿En qué aconsejaste al que no tiene ciencia, y mostraste bien cómo son las cosas?

4 T o whom have you uttered words? And whose spirit came from you?

¿A quién has anunciado palabras, y de quién es el espíritu que de ti sale?

5 “ The dead tremble, Those under the waters and those inhabiting them.

Cosas muertas son formadas debajo de las aguas, y de sus moradas.

6 S heol is naked before Him, And Destruction has no covering.

El Seol es descubierto delante de él, y el infierno no tiene cobertura.

7 H e stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.

Extiende el aquilón sobre vacío, cuelga la tierra sobre nada.

8 H e binds up the water in His thick clouds, Yet the clouds are not broken under it.

Ata las aguas en sus nubes, y las nubes no se rompen debajo de ellas.

9 H e covers the face of His throne, And spreads His cloud over it.

El aprieta la faz de su trono, y extiende sobre él su nube.

10 H e drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters, At the boundary of light and darkness.

El cercó con término la superficie de las aguas, hasta que se acabe la luz y las tinieblas.

11 T he pillars of heaven tremble, And are astonished at His rebuke.

Las columnas del cielo tiemblan, y se espantan de su reprensión.

12 H e stirs up the sea with His power, And by His understanding He breaks up the storm.

El rompe el mar con su potencia, y con su inteligencia hiere la hinchazón suya.

13 B y His Spirit He adorned the heavens; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent.

Su espíritu adornó los cielos; su mano creó la serpiente huidora.

14 I ndeed these are the mere edges of His ways, And how small a whisper we hear of Him! But the thunder of His power who can understand?”

He aquí, éstas son partes de sus caminos; ¡y cuán poco es lo que hemos oído de él! Porque el estruendo de sus fortalezas, ¿quién lo entenderá?
