1 P aul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God

¶ Pablo, siervo de Jesús, el Cristo, llamado a ser apóstol, apartado para el Evangelio de Dios,

2 w hich He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures,

(que él había antes prometido por sus profetas en las santas Escrituras,)

3 c oncerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,

de su Hijo, (el cual le nació de la simiente de David según la carne;

4 a nd declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

el cual fue declarado Hijo de Dios con potencia, según el Espíritu de santificación, por la resurrección de los muertos), de Jesús, el Cristo, Señor nuestro,

5 T hrough Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name,

por el cual recibimos la gracia y el apostolado, para hacer que se obedezca a la fe entre todos los gentiles en su Nombre,

6 a mong whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;

de los cuales sois también vosotros, los llamados de Jesús, el Cristo;

7 T o all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Desire to Visit Rome

a todos los que estáis en Roma, amados de Dios, llamados a ser santos: Gracia y paz tengáis de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesús, el Cristo.

8 F irst, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

¶ Primeramente, doy gracias a mi Dios por Jesús, el Cristo, acerca de todos vosotros, de que vuestra fe es predicada en todo el mundo.

9 F or God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers,

Porque testigo me es Dios, al cual sirvo en mi espíritu en el Evangelio de su Hijo, que sin cesar me acuerdo de vosotros siempre en mis oraciones,

10 m aking request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you.

rogando, si al fin tendré, por la voluntad de Dios, próspero viaje para ir a vosotros.

11 F or I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established—

Porque deseo veros, para repartir con vosotros algún don espiritual, para confirmaros;

12 t hat is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

para ser juntamente consolado con vosotros por la común fe, vuestra y mía.

13 N ow I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that I often planned to come to you (but was hindered until now), that I might have some fruit among you also, just as among the other Gentiles.

Pero no quiero, hermanos, que ignoréis que muchas veces me he propuesto ir a vosotros (pero hasta ahora he sido estorbado), para tener también entre vosotros algún fruto, como entre los otros gentiles.

14 I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise.

A griegos y a bárbaros, a sabios y a no sabios soy deudor.

15 S o, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also. The Just Live by Faith

Así que, en cuanto a mí, presto estoy a anunciar el Evangelio también a los que estáis en Roma.

16 F or I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

¶ Porque no me avergüenzo del Evangelio del Cristo, porque es potencia de Dios para dar salud a todo aquel que cree; al judío primeramente y también al griego.

17 F or in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness

Porque en él la justicia de Dios se descubre de fe en fe. Como está escrito: Mas el justo vivirá por la fe.

18 F or the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

Porque manifiesta es la ira de Dios del cielo contra toda impiedad e injusticia de los hombres, que detienen la verdad con injusticia;

19 b ecause what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

¶ porque lo que de Dios se conoce, a ellos es manifiesto; porque Dios se lo manifestó.

20 F or since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

Porque las cosas invisibles de él; su eterna potencia y divinidad, se ven entendidas por la creación del mundo, y por las cosas que son hechas, para que no haya excusa;

21 b ecause, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

porque habiendo conocido a Dios, no le glorificaron como a Dios, ni le dieron gracias; antes se desvanecieron en sus fantasías, y el tonto corazón de ellos fue entenebrecido.

22 P rofessing to be wise, they became fools,

Diciéndose ser sabios, se hicieron fatuos,

23 a nd changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

y trocaron la gloria del Dios incorruptible en semejanza de imagen de hombre corruptible, y de aves, y de animales de cuatro pies, y de serpientes.

24 T herefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,

Por lo cual también Dios los entregó a las concupiscencias de sus corazones para inmundicia, para que contaminaran sus cuerpos entre sí mismos;

25 w ho exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

los cuales mudaron la verdad de Dios en mentira, honrando y sirviendo a las criaturas antes que al Creador, el cual es bendito por los siglos. Amén.

26 F or this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.

Por lo cual Dios los entregó a afectos vergonzosos; pues aun sus mujeres mudaron el natural uso en el uso que es contra naturaleza;

27 L ikewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

y del mismo modo también los machos, dejando el uso natural de las hembras, se encendieron en sus concupiscencias los unos con los otros, cometiendo cosas nefandas machos con machos, y recibiendo en sí mismos la recompensa que provino de su error.

28 A nd even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

Y como a ellos no les pareció tener a Dios en cuenta, Dios los entregó a perverso entendimiento, para que hicieran lo que no conviene,

29 b eing filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,

atestados de toda iniquidad, de fornicación, de malicia, de avaricia, de maldad, llenos de envidia, de homicidios, de contiendas, de engaños, de malignidades,

30 b ackbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

murmuradores, detractores, aborrecedores de Dios, injuriosos, soberbios, altivos, inventores de males, desobedientes a los padres,

31 u ndiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;

necios, desleales, sin afecto natural, implacables, sin misericordia;

32 w ho, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

que habiendo entendido la justicia de Dios, no entendieron que los que hacen tales cosas son dignos de muerte; no sólo los que las hacen, más aun los que consienten a los que las hacen.
