Unto You, O Lord, do I bring my life.

2 M on Dieu! en toi je me confie: que je ne sois pas couvert de honte! Que mes ennemis ne se réjouissent pas à mon sujet!

O my God, I trust, lean on, rely on, and am confident in You. Let me not be put to shame or be disappointed; let not my enemies triumph over me.

3 T ous ceux qui espèrent en toi ne seront point confondus; Ceux-là seront confondus qui sont infidèles sans cause.

Yes, let none who trust and wait hopefully and look for You be put to shame or be disappointed; let them be ashamed who forsake the right or deal treacherously without cause.

4 É ternel! fais-moi connaître tes voies, Enseigne-moi tes sentiers.

Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.

5 C onduis-moi dans ta vérité, et instruis-moi; Car tu es le Dieu de mon salut, Tu es toujours mon espérance.

Guide me in Your truth and faithfulness and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You do I wait all the day long.

6 É ternel! souviens-toi de ta miséricorde et de ta bonté; Car elles sont éternelles.

Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercy and loving-kindness; for they have been ever from of old.

7 N e te souviens pas des fautes de ma jeunesse ni de mes transgressions; Souviens-toi de moi selon ta miséricorde, A cause de ta bonté, ô Éternel!

Remember not the sins (the lapses and frailties) of my youth or my transgressions; according to Your mercy and steadfast love remember me, for Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.

8 L 'Éternel est bon et droit: C'est pourquoi il montre aux pécheurs la voie.

Good and upright is the Lord; therefore will He instruct sinners in way.

9 I l conduit les humbles dans la justice, Il enseigne aux humbles sa voie.

He leads the humble in what is right, and the humble He teaches His way.

10 T ous les sentiers de l'Éternel sont miséricorde et fidélité, Pour ceux qui gardent son alliance et ses commandements.

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and steadfast love, even truth and faithfulness are they for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.

11 C 'est à cause de ton nom, ô Éternel! Que tu pardonneras mon iniquité, car elle est grande.

For Your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon my iniquity and my guilt, for great.

12 Q uel est l'homme qui craint l'Éternel? L'Éternel lui montre la voie qu'il doit choisir.

Who is the man who reverently fears and worships the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way that he should choose.

13 S on âme reposera dans le bonheur, Et sa postérité possédera le pays.

He himself shall dwell at ease, and his offspring shall inherit the land.

14 L 'amitié de l'Éternel est pour ceux qui le craignent, Et son alliance leur donne instruction.

The secret of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its meaning.

15 J e tourne constamment les yeux vers l'Éternel, Car il fera sortir mes pieds du filet.

My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He will pluck my feet out of the net.

16 R egarde-moi et aie pitié de moi, Car je suis abandonné et malheureux.

turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.

17 L es angoisses de mon coeur augmentent; Tire-moi de ma détresse.

The troubles of my heart are multiplied; bring me out of my distresses.

18 V ois ma misère et ma peine, Et pardonne tous mes péchés.

Behold my affliction and my pain and forgive all my sins.

19 V ois combien mes ennemis sont nombreux, Et de quelle haine violente ils me poursuivent.

Consider my enemies, for they abound; they hate me with cruel hatred.

20 G arde mon âme et sauve-moi! Que je ne sois pas confus, Quand je cherche auprès de toi mon refuge!

O keep me, Lord, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed or disappointed, for my trust and my refuge are in You.

21 Q ue l'innocence et la droiture me protègent, Quand je mets en toi mon espérance!

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for and expect You.

22 O Dieu! délivre Israël De toutes ses détresses!

Redeem Israel, O God, out of all their troubles.
