1 I lift up my soul to You, O Lord.

Unto You, O Lord, do I bring my life.

2 O my God, I trust in You. Do not let me be ashamed. Do not let those who fight against me win.

O my God, I trust, lean on, rely on, and am confident in You. Let me not be put to shame or be disappointed; let not my enemies triumph over me.

3 Y es, let no one who hopes in You be put to shame. But put to shame those who hurt others without a reason.

Yes, let none who trust and wait hopefully and look for You be put to shame or be disappointed; let them be ashamed who forsake the right or deal treacherously without cause.

4 S how me Your ways, O Lord. Teach me Your paths.

Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.

5 L ead me in Your truth and teach me. For You are the God Who saves me. I wait for You all day long.

Guide me in Your truth and faithfulness and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You do I wait all the day long.

6 R emember Your loving-pity and Your loving-kindness, O Lord. For they have been from old.

Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercy and loving-kindness; for they have been ever from of old.

7 D o not remember my sins from when I was young, or my sinful ways. By Your loving-kindness remember me for You are good, O Lord.

Remember not the sins (the lapses and frailties) of my youth or my transgressions; according to Your mercy and steadfast love remember me, for Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.

8 G ood and right is the Lord. So He teaches sinners in His ways.

Good and upright is the Lord; therefore will He instruct sinners in way.

9 H e leads those without pride into what is right, and teaches them His way.

He leads the humble in what is right, and the humble He teaches His way.

10 A ll the paths of the Lord are loving and true for those who keep His agreement and keep His Laws.

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and steadfast love, even truth and faithfulness are they for those who keep His covenant and His testimonies.

11 F or the good of Your name, O Lord, forgive my sin, even as big as it is.

For Your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon my iniquity and my guilt, for great.

12 W ho is the man who fears the Lord? He will teach him in the way he should choose.

Who is the man who reverently fears and worships the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way that he should choose.

13 H is soul will live a rich life. And his children will be given the land.

He himself shall dwell at ease, and his offspring shall inherit the land.

14 T he secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him. And He will make them know His agreement.

The secret of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its meaning.

15 M y eyes are always on the Lord. For He will take my feet out of the net.

My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He will pluck my feet out of the net.

16 T urn to me and show me Your loving-kindness. For I am alone and in trouble.

turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.

17 T he troubles of my heart have grown. Bring me out of my suffering.

The troubles of my heart are multiplied; bring me out of my distresses.

18 L ook upon my troubles and my pain, and forgive all my sins.

Behold my affliction and my pain and forgive all my sins.

19 L ook upon those who hate me, for they are many. And how very much they hate me!

Consider my enemies, for they abound; they hate me with cruel hatred.

20 K eep me safe, Lord, and set me free. Do not let me be put to shame for I put my trust in You.

O keep me, Lord, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed or disappointed, for my trust and my refuge are in You.

21 L et what is good and what is right keep me safe, because I wait for You.

Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for and expect You.

22 O God, make Israel free from all their troubles.

Redeem Israel, O God, out of all their troubles.
