From the rising of the sun to the going down of it and from east to west, the name of the Lord is to be praised!

4 T he Lord is high above all nations. His shining-greatness is above the heavens.

5 W ho is like the Lord our God? He sits on His throne on high.

Who is like the Lord our God, Who has His seat on high,

6 H e looks down upon the heavens and the earth.

Who humbles Himself to regard the heavens and the earth!

7 H e raises the poor from the dust. He lifts those in need from the ashes.

raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap and the dung hill,

8 H e makes them sit with rulers, with the rulers of His people.

That He may seat them with princes, even with the princes of His people.

9 H e gives a home to the woman who could not give birth and makes her the mother of children. Praise the Lord!

He makes the barren woman to be a homemaker and a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
