1 T he sons of Judah were Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur and Shobal.

2 S hobal’s son Reaiah was the father of Jahath. And Jahath was the father of Ahumai and Lahad. These were the families of the Zorathites.

11 S huhah’s brother Chelub was the father of Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.

40 T here they found good fields rich with grass. The land was wide and quiet, and there they had peace. For Hamites had lived there before.
