Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request.

15 D ie Kinder aber Kalebs, des Sohnes Jephunnes, waren: Iru, Ela und Naam und die Kinder des Ela und Kenas.

41 U nd die jetzt mit Namen aufgezeichnet sind, kamen zur Zeit Hiskias, des Königs Juda's, und schlugen jener Hütten und die Meuniter, die daselbst gefunden wurden, und verbannte sie bis auf diesen Tag und wohnten an ihrer Statt; denn es war Weide daselbst für ihre Schafe.
