1 U nd da sie die Lade Gottes hineinbrachten, setzten sie sie in die Hütte, die ihr David aufgerichtet hatte, und opferten Brandopfer und Dankopfer vor Gott.

So they brought the ark of God and set it in the midst of the tent which David had pitched for it, and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

2 U nd da David die Brandopfer und Dankopfer ausgerichtet hatte, segnete er das Volk im Namen des HERRN

And when David had finished offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.

3 u nd teilte aus jedermann in Israel, Männern und Weibern, einen Laib Brot und ein Stück Fleisch und ein halbes Maß Wein.

And he distributed to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins.

4 U nd er bestellte etliche Leviten zu Dienern vor der Lade des HERRN, daß sie priesen, dankten und lobten den HERRN, den Gott Israels:

He appointed Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord and to celebrate, thanking and praising the Lord, the God of Israel:

5 n ämlich Asaph, den ersten, Sacharja, den andern, Jeiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Matthithja, Eliab, Benaja, Obed-Edom und Jeiel mit Psaltern und Harfen, Asaph aber mit hellen Zimbeln,

Asaph was the chief, next to him Zechariah, Jeiel (Jaaziel), Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, and Benaiah, Obed-edom and Jeiel, who were to play harps and lyres; Asaph was to sound the cymbals;

6 B enaja aber und Jahasiel, die Priester, mit Drommeten allezeit vor der Lade des Bundes Gottes.

Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests were to blow trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.

7 Z u der Zeit bestellte David zum ersten, dem HERRN zu danken, durch Asaph und seine Brüder:

Then on that day David first entrusted to Asaph and his brethren the singing of thanks to the Lord:

8 D anket dem HERRN, prediget seinen Namen; tut kund unter den Völkern sein Tun!

O give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known His doings among the peoples!

9 S inget und spielet ihm; dichtet von allen seinen Wundern!

Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; meditate on and talk of all His wondrous works and devoutly praise them!

10 R ühmet seinen heiligen Namen; es freue sich das Herz derer, die den HERRN suchen!

Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!

11 F raget nach dem HERRN und nach seiner Macht; suchet sein Angesicht allezeit!

Seek the Lord and His strength; yearn for and seek His face and to be in His presence continually!

12 G edenket seiner Wunderwerke, die er getan hat, seiner Wunder und der Gerichte seines Mundes,

remember the marvelous deeds which He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He uttered,

13 i hr, der Same Israels, seines Knechtes, ihr Kinder Jakobs, seine Auserwählten!

O you offspring of of Israel His servants, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones!

14 E r ist der HERR, unser Gott; er richtet in aller Welt.

He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

15 G edenket ewiglich seines Bundes, was er verheißen hat in tausend Geschlechter,

Be mindful of His covenant forever, the promise which He commanded and established to a thousand generations,

16 d en er gemacht hat mit Abraham, und seines Eides mit Isaak;

The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His sworn promise to Isaac.

17 u nd stellte es Jakob zum Recht und Israel zum ewigen Bund

He confirmed it as a statute to Jacob, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

18 u nd sprach: Dir will ich das Land Kanaan geben, das Los eures Erbteils,

Saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan, the measured portion of your possession and inheritance.

19 d a sie wenig und gering waren und Fremdlinge darin.

When they were but few, even a very few, and only temporary residents and strangers in it,

20 U nd sie zogen von einem Volk zum andern und aus einem Königreich zum andern Volk.

When they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people,

21 E r ließ niemand ihnen Schaden tun und strafte Könige um ihretwillen.

He allowed no man to do them wrong; yes, He reproved kings for their sakes,

22 " Tastet meine Gesalbten nicht an und tut meinen Propheten kein Leid!"

Saying, Touch not My anointed, and do My prophets no harm.

23 S inget dem HERRN, alle Lande; verkündiget täglich sein Heil!

Sing to the Lord, all the earth; show forth from day to day His salvation.

24 E rzählet unter den Heiden seine Herrlichkeit, unter allen Völkern seine Wunder!

Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all peoples.

25 D enn der HERR ist groß und sehr löblich und herrlich über alle Götter.

For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He also is to be feared above all so-called gods.

26 D enn aller Heiden Götter sind Götzen; der HERR aber hat den Himmel gemacht.

For all the gods of the people are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.

27 E s stehet herrlich und prächtig vor ihm und gehet gewaltig und fröhlich zu an seinem Ort.

Honor and majesty are in His presence; strength and joy are in His sanctuary.

28 B ringet her dem HERRN, ihr Völker, bringet her dem HERRN Ehre und Macht!

Ascribe to the Lord, you families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength,

29 B ringet her dem HERRN die Ehre seines Namens; bringet Geschenke und kommt vor ihn und betet den HERRN an in heiligem Schmuck!

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name. Bring an offering and come before Him; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness and in holy array.

30 E s fürchte ihn alle Welt; er hat den Erdboden bereitet, daß er nicht bewegt wird.

Tremble and reverently fear before Him, all the earth’s peoples; the world also shall be established, so it cannot be moved.

31 E s freue sich der Himmel, und die Erde sei Fröhlich; und man sage unter den Heiden, daß der HERR regieret.

Let the heavens be glad and let the earth rejoice; and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigns!

32 D as Meer brause und was darinnen ist; und das Feld sei fröhlich und alles, was darauf ist.

Let the sea roar, and all the things that fill it; let the fields rejoice, and all that is in them.

33 U nd lasset jauchzen alle Bäume im Walde vor dem HERRN; denn er kommt, zu richten die Erde.

Then shall the trees of the wood sing out for joy before the Lord, for He comes to judge and govern the earth.

34 D anket dem HERRN; denn er ist freundlich, und seine Güte währet ewiglich.

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever!

35 U nd sprecht: Hilf uns, Gott, unser Heiland, und sammle uns und errette uns aus den Heiden, daß wir deinem heiligen Namen danken und dir Lob sagen.

And say, Save us, O God of our salvation; gather us together and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name and glory in Your praise.

36 G elobet sei der HERR, der Gott Israels, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! Und alles Volk sagte Amen! und: Lobe den HERRN!

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, forever and ever! And all the people said Amen! and praised the Lord.

37 A lso ließ er daselbst vor der Lade des Bundes des HERRN den Asaph und seine Brüder, zu dienen vor der Lade allezeit, einen jeglichen Tag sein Tagewerk,

So David left Asaph and his brethren before the ark of the covenant of the Lord to minister before the ark continually, as each day’s work required,

38 a ber Obed-Edom und ihre Brüder, achtundsechzig, und Obed-Edom, den Sohn Jedithuns, und Hosa zu Torhütern.

And Obed-edom with sixty-eight kinsmen. Also Obed-edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah, were to be gatekeepers.

39 U nd Zadok, den Priester, und seine Brüder, die Priester, ließ er vor der Wohnung des HERRN auf der Höhe zu Gibeon,

And David left Zadok the priest and his brethren the priests before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place that was at Gibeon

40 d aß sie dem HERRN täglich Brandopfer täten auf dem Brandopferaltar, des Morgens und des Abends, wie geschrieben steht im Gesetz des HERRN, das er an Israel geboten hat,

To offer burnt offerings to the Lord upon the altar of burnt offering continually, morning and evening, and to do all that is written in the Law of the Lord which He commanded Israel.

41 u nd mit ihnen Heman und Jedithun und die andern Erwählten, die mit Namen benannt waren, zu danken dem HERRN, daß seine Güte währet ewiglich,

With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest who were chosen and expressly named to give thanks to the Lord, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

42 u nd mit ihnen Heman und Jedithun, mit Drommeten und Zimbeln zu klingen und mit Saitenspielen Gottes. Die Kinder aber Jedithun machte er zu Torhütern.

With them were Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those who should sound aloud, and instruments for accompanying the songs of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were to be at the gate.

43 A lso zog alles Volk heim, ein jeglicher in sein Haus; und David kehrte auch heim, sein Haus zu grüßen.

Then all the people departed, each man to his house, and David returned home to bless his household.
