1 Make the altar of acacia wood. It will be as long and as wide as three steps, and as tall as a man’s chest.

And make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits square and three cubits high.

2 M ake horns for it on its four corners. They will be of one piece and covered with brass.

Make horns for it on its four corners; they shall be of one piece with it, and you shall overlay it with bronze.

3 M ake its pails for taking away its ashes, its tools for picking up the ashes, its pots, meat-hooks and fire-holders. Make all of these out of brass.

You shall make pots to take away its ashes, and shovels, basins, forks, and firepans; make all its utensils of bronze.

4 M ake a net for it out of brass, with four rings of brass at its four corners.

Also make for it a grate, a network of bronze; and on the net you shall make four bronze rings at its four corners.

5 P ut it under the altar so that the net comes up to the center of the altar.

And you shall put it under the ledge of the altar, so that the net will extend halfway down the altar.

6 M ake long, straight pieces of acacia wood for the altar. And cover them with brass.

And make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood overlaid with bronze.

7 P ut the long pieces of wood through the rings on each side of the altar when it is carried.

The poles shall be put through the rings on the two sides of the altar, with which to carry it.

8 M ake the altar with pieces of wood so it is empty inside. Make it as it was shown to you on the mountain. The Open Spaces

You shall make hollow with slabs or planks; as shown you on the mountain, so shall it be made.

9 Make the open space of the meeting tent. On the south side there will be curtains for the open space. Make them of fine linen, as long as fifty long steps.

And you shall make the court of the tabernacle. On the south side the court shall have hangings of fine twined linen, a hundred cubits long for one side;

10 T hey will hang from twenty pillars which are put on twenty bases of brass. The hooks of the pillars and their rings will be made of silver.

Their pillars shall be twenty and their sockets twenty, of bronze, but the hooks of the pillars and their joinings shall be of silver;

11 D o the same for the north side. There will be curtains as long as fifty long steps, and twenty pillars with twenty bases of brass. The hooks of the pillars and their rings will be made of silver.

Likewise for the north side hangings, a hundred cubits long, and their twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of bronze, but the hooks of the pillars and their joinings shall be of silver.

12 O n the west side of the open space there will be curtains as long as twenty-five long steps. They will have ten pillars with ten bases.

And for the breadth of the court on the west side there shall be hangings of fifty cubits, with ten pillars and ten sockets.

13 A nd the east side of the open space will be as wide as twenty-five long steps.

The breadth of the court to the front, the east side, shall be fifty cubits.

14 The curtains for one side of the gate will be as long as seven steps. They will have three pillars with three bases.

The hangings for one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits, with three pillars and three sockets.

15 O n the other side there will be curtains as long as seven steps, with three pillars and three bases.

On the other side the hangings shall be fifteen cubits, with three pillars and three sockets.

16 H ave an able workman make a curtain out of fine linen for the gate of the open space. It will be blue, purple and red, and as long as ten long steps. It will have four pillars with four bases.

And for the gate of the court there shall be a hanging twenty cubits long, of blue, purple, and scarlet and fine twined linen, embroidered. It shall have four pillars and four sockets for them.

17 A ll the pillars around the open space will have silver hooks, silver rings, and their bases of brass.

All the pillars round about the court shall be joined together with silver rods; their hooks shall be of silver and their sockets of bronze.

18 T he open space will be as long as fifty long steps, as wide as twenty-five long steps, and as high as a man raises his hand. It will have curtains of fine linen and the bases will be brass.

The length of the court shall be a hundred cubits and the breadth fifty and the height five cubits, fine twined linen and sockets of bronze.

19 A ll the tools used in the meeting tent, all its nails, and all the nails for the open space will be made of brass. Care of the Lamp-Stand

All the tabernacle’s utensils and instruments used in all its service, and all its pegs and all the pegs for the court, shall be of bronze.

20 Tell the people of Israel to bring you clear oil of beaten olives for the light, so a lamp may burn all the time.

You shall command the Israelites to provide you with pure oil of crushed olives for the light, to cause it to burn continually.

21 I n the meeting tent, outside the curtain which is in front of the Law, Aaron and his sons will take care of it from evening until morning before the Lord. It will be a law forever for the people of Israel.

In the Tent of Meeting, outside the veil which sets apart the Testimony, Aaron and his sons shall keep it burning from evening to morning before the Lord. It shall be a statute to be observed on behalf of the Israelites throughout their generations.
