Now these are the names of the tribes: From the north end, beside the way of Hethlon to the entrance of Hamath as far as Hazar-enan, which is on the northern border of Damascus opposite Hamath, and reaching from the east border to the west, Dan, one.

And beside the border of Dan, from the east side to the west side, Asher, one.

And beside the border of Asher, from the east side to the west side, Naphtali, one.

And beside the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the offering of land which you shall offer: 25, 000 reeds in breadth, and in length as one of the tribal portions from the east side to the west side; and the sanctuary shall be in the midst of it.

9 L a portion que vous prélèverez pour l'Éternel aura vingt-cinq mille cannes de longueur et dix mille de largeur.

The portion of land that you shall set apart and offer to the Lord shall be 25, 000 in length and 10, 000 in breadth.

10 C 'est aux sacrificateurs qu'appartiendra cette portion sainte: vingt-cinq mille cannes au septentrion, dix mille en largeur à l'occident, dix mille en largeur à l'orient, et vingt-cinq mille en longueur au midi; et le sanctuaire de l'Éternel sera au milieu.

And for these, even for the priests, shall be this holy offering of land: toward the north 25, 000 in length, and toward the west 10, 000 in breadth, and toward the east 10, 000 in breadth, and toward the south 25, 000 in length, and the sanctuary of the Lord shall be in the midst of it.

11 E lle appartiendra aux sacrificateurs consacrés, aux fils de Tsadok, qui ont fait le service de mon sanctuaire, qui ne se sont point égarés, lorsque les enfants d'Israël s'égaraient, comme s'égaraient les Lévites.

The set-apart and sacred portion shall be for the consecrated priests of the sons of Zadok, who have kept My charge and who did not go astray when the children of Israel went astray, as the other Levites did.

12 E lle leur appartiendra comme portion très sainte, prélevée sur la portion du pays qui aura été prélevée, à côté de la limite des Lévites.

And this land offering shall be for the priests as a thing most holy beside the border of the Levites.

13 L es Lévites auront, parallèlement à la limite des sacrificateurs, vingt-cinq mille cannes en longueur et dix mille en largeur, vingt-cinq mille pour toute la longueur et dix mille pour la largeur.

And opposite the border of the priests the Levites shall have 25, 000 in length and 10, 000 in breadth. The whole length shall be 25, 000 and the breadth 10, 000.

14 I ls n'en pourront rien vendre ni échanger; et les prémices du pays ne seront point aliénées, car elles sont consacrées à l'Éternel.

And they shall not sell any of it or exchange it; they shall not convey or transfer this the firstfruits of the land, for it has been offered to the Lord and is holy to Him.

15 L es cinq mille cannes qui resteront en largeur sur les vingt-cinq mille seront destinées à la ville, pour les habitations et la banlieue; et la ville sera au milieu.

And the remaining strip of 5, 000 in breadth and 25, 000 in length shall be for the city’s secular use, for a place in which to dwell and for open country or suburbs. The city shall be in the midst of the plot.

16 E n voici les mesures: du côté septentrional quatre mille cinq cents, du côté méridional quatre mille cinq cents, du côté oriental quatre mille cinq cents, et du côté occidental quatre mille cinq cents.

And these shall be the dimensions of it: the north side 4, 500 and the south side 4, 500, the east side 4, 500 and the west side 4, 500.

17 L a ville aura une banlieue de deux cent cinquante au nord, de deux cent cinquante au midi, de deux cent cinquante à l'orient, et de deux cent

And the city shall have suburbs or open country: toward the north 250 and toward the south 250, toward the east 250 and toward the west 250.

18 L e reste sur la longueur, parallèlement à la portion sainte, dix mille à l'orient et dix mille à l'occident, parallèlement à la portion sainte, formera les revenus destinés à l'entretien de ceux qui travailleront pour la ville.

The remainder of the length along beside the holy portion shall be 10, 000 to the east and 10, 000 to the west, and it shall be along beside the holy portion. The produce from it shall be for food for those who work in the city.

19 L e sol en sera cultivé par ceux de toutes les tribus d'Israël qui travailleront pour la ville.

And the workers of the city from all the tribes of Israel shall till the open land.

20 T oute la portion prélevée sera de vingt-cinq mille cannes en longueur sur vingt-cinq mille en largeur; vous en séparerez un carré pour la propriété de la ville.

The whole portion that you shall set apart as an offering to God shall be 25, 000 by 25, 000; you shall set apart the holy portion foursquare, together with the property of the city.

21 C e qui restera sera pour le prince, aux deux côtés de la portion sainte et de la propriété de la ville, le long des vingt-cinq mille cannes de la portion sainte jusqu'à la limite de l'orient, et à l'occident le long des vingt-cinq mille cannes vers la limite de l'occident, parallèlement aux parts. C'est là ce qui appartiendra au prince; et la portion sainte et le sanctuaire de la maison seront au milieu.

And what is left unallotted, on both sides of the holy portion and of that possessed by the city, shall belong to the prince. Reaching eastward from the 25, 000 of the holy portion to the east border, and westward from the 25, 000 to the west border, parallel to the tribal allotments, it belongs to the prince. The holy portion with the sanctuary of the temple in its midst,

22 A insi ce qui appartiendra au prince sera l'espace compris depuis la propriété des Lévites et depuis la propriété de la ville; ce qui sera entre la limite de Juda et la limite de Benjamin appartiendra au prince.

And the possession of the Levites and the property of the city shall be in the midst of that which belongs to the prince. What lies between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin shall be for the prince.

23 V oici les autres tribus. De l'orient à l'occident: Benjamin, une tribu.

As for the rest of the tribes, from the east side to the west side, Benjamin, one.

24 S ur la limite de Benjamin, de l'orient à l'occident: Siméon, une tribu.

And beside the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side, Simeon, one.

25 S ur la limite de Siméon, de l'orient à l'occident: Issacar, une tribu.

And beside the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar, one.

26 S ur la limite d'Issacar, de l'orient à l'occident: Zabulon, une tribu.

And beside the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side, Zebulun, one.

27 S ur la limite de Zabulon, de l'orient à l'occident: Gad, une tribu.

And beside the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side, Gad, one.

28 S ur la limite de Gad, du côté méridional, au midi, la frontière ira depuis Thamar, jusqu'aux eaux de Meriba à Kadès, jusqu'au torrent vers la grande mer.

And beside the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall extend from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh and on along the Brook to the Great or Mediterranean Sea.

29 T el est le pays que vous diviserez en héritages par le sort pour les tribus d'Israël et telles sont leurs parts, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.

This is the land which you shall divide by allotment among the tribes of Israel as their inheritance, and these are their several portions, says the Lord God.

30 V oici les issues de la ville. Du côté septentrional quatre mille cinq cents cannes.

And these shall be the exits of the city: On the north side, which is to extend 4, 500 measures,

31 e t les portes de la ville d'après les noms des tribus d'Israël, trois portes au nord: la porte de Ruben, une, la porte de Juda, une, la porte de Lévi, une.

Three gates: one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi, the gates of the city being called after the names of the tribes of Israel;

32 D u côté oriental quatre mille cinq cents cannes, et trois portes: la porte de Joseph, une, la porte de Benjamin, une, la porte de Dan, une.

And on the east side’s 4, 500 measures, three gates: one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin, one gate of Dan;

33 D u côté méridional quatre mille cinq cents cannes, et trois portes: la porte de Siméon, une, la porte d'Issacar, une, la porte de Zabulon, une.

And on the south side’s 4, 500 measures, three gates: one gate of Simeon, one gate of Issachar, one gate of Zebulun;

34 D u côté occidental quatre mille cinq cents cannes, et trois portes: la porte de Gad, une, la porte d'Aser, une, la porte de Nephthali, une.

On the west side’s 4, 500 measures, three gates: one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one gate of Naphtali.

35 C ircuit: dix-huit mille cannes. Et, dès ce jour, le nom de la ville sera: l'Éternel est ici.

The distance around the city shall be 18, 000 measures; and the name of the city from that day and ever after shall be, the lord is there.
