1 ¡ Levántese Dios, y sean esparcidos sus enemigos! ¡Huyan de su presencia quienes lo aborrecen!

Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered; Let them also that hate him flee before him.

2 D ios los despejará como si despejara el humo; ¡como si derritiera cera delante del fuego! Así perecen los impíos delante de Dios.

As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: As wax melteth before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

3 P ero los justos se alegrarán delante de Dios; ¡llenos de gozo, saltarán de alegría!

But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God: Yea, let them rejoice with gladness.

4 ¡ Cantemos salmos a Dios! ¡Cantemos salmos a su nombre! ¡Exaltemos al que cabalga sobre los cielos! Su nombre es el Señor. ¡Alegrémonos en su presencia!

Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: Cast up a highway for him that rideth through the deserts; His name is Jehovah; and exult ye before him.

5 D ios, en su santo templo, es padre de los huérfanos y defensor de las viudas.

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, Is God in his holy habitation.

6 D ios les da un hogar a los desamparados, y rescata a los cautivos y les da prosperidad, pero a los rebeldes los hace habitar en el desierto.

God setteth the solitary in families: He bringeth out the prisoners into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

7 D ios nuestro, cuando saliste al frente de tu pueblo, cuando anduviste por el desierto,

O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, When thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah

8 l a tierra tembló. Al verte, Dios de Israel, los cielos derramaron su lluvia; ante tu presencia, el monte Sinaí se estremeció.

The earth trembled, The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God: Yon Sinai trembled at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9 T ú, Dios nuestro, derramaste abundante lluvia, y a tu exhausta tierra infundiste vida.

Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, Thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.

10 E n ella, oh Dios, habitan los que son tuyos; tú, por tu bondad, das al pobre lo que necesita.

Thy congregation dwelt therein: Thou, O God, didst prepare of thy goodness for the poor.

11 E l Señor emitió su palabra, y muchas mensajeras dieron la noticia:

The Lord giveth the word: The women that publish the tidings are a great host.

12 « ¡Están huyendo los reyes y sus ejércitos!» En su casa, las mujeres se repartían los despojos:

Kings of armies flee, they flee; And she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.

13 « Aunque ustedes se quedaron en los apriscos, también recibirán alas de paloma cubiertas de plata, con sus plumas recubiertas de oro fino.»

When ye lie among the sheepfolds, It is as the wings of a dove covered with silver, And her pinions with yellow gold.

14 C uando el Omnipotente esparció allí a los reyes, en el monte Salmón parecía estar nevando.

When the Almighty scattered kings therein, It was as when it snoweth in Zalmon.

15 E l monte de Basán es un monte muy alto; el monte de Basán es un monte majestuoso.

A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; A high mountain is the mountain of Bashan.

16 U stedes, altos montes, ¿por qué miran con desdén al monte en donde Dios decidió residir? ¡El Señor habitará allí para siempre!

Why look ye askance, ye high mountains, At the mountain which God hath desired for his abode? Yea, Jehovah will dwell in it for ever.

17 E ntre miríadas de poderosos carros de guerra, tú, Señor, marchas del Sinaí a tu santuario.

The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands upon thousands; The Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the sanctuary.

18 A sciendes a lo alto, llevando contigo a los cautivos y el tributo que recibiste de gente rebelde, y entre ellos, Señor y Dios, pondrás tu habitación.

Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led away captives; Thou hast received gifts among men, Yea, among the rebellious also, that Jehovah God might dwell with them.

19 B endito sea el Señor, el Dios de nuestra salvación, que todos los días nos colma de beneficios.

Blessed be the Lord, who daily beareth our burden, Even the God who is our salvation. Selah

20 E l Señor nuestro Dios es un Dios que salva; el Señor tiene poder para librarnos de la muerte.

God is unto us a God of deliverances; And unto Jehovah the Lord belongeth escape from death.

21 D ios herirá la cabeza de sus enemigos, la melena de los que andan en sus pecados.

But God will smite through the head of his enemies, The hairy scalp of such a one as goeth on still in his guiltiness.

22 E l Señor ha dicho: «Yo te haré volver de Basán. Te haré volver de las profundidades del mar.

The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring them again from the depths of the sea;

23 ¡ Tus pies y la lengua de tus perros se teñirán con la sangre de tus enemigos!»

That thou mayest crush them, dipping thy foot in blood, That the tongue of thy dogs may have its portion from thine enemies.

24 E n el santuario, oh Dios, pueden verse tus procesiones; ¡tus marchas triunfales, mi Dios y Rey!

They have seen thy goings, O God, Even the goings of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.

25 L os cantores abren la marcha, los músicos la cierran, y en medio las doncellas avanzan con panderos.

The singers went before, the minstrels followed after, In the midst of the damsels playing with timbrels.

26 U stedes, descendientes de Israel, ¡bendigan a nuestro Señor y Dios en las congregaciones!

Bless ye God in the congregations, Even the Lord, ye that are of the fountain of Israel.

27 A llí va el joven Benjamín, al frente de ellos, acompañado por los príncipes de Judá, los príncipes de Zabulón y los príncipes de Neftalí.

There is little Benjamin their ruler, The princes of Judah and their council, The princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.

28 D ios nuestro, ¡manifiesta tu poder! ¡Confirma, oh Dios, lo que has hecho por nosotros!

Thy God hath commanded thy strength: Strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.

29 P or causa de tu templo en Jerusalén los reyes te pagan tributo.

Because of thy temple at Jerusalem Kings shall bring presents unto thee.

30 ¡ Reprime a la bestia de los juncos, a ese ejército de toros y becerros! ¡Somételos! ¡Que te entreguen sus piezas de plata! ¡Dispersa a los pueblos que se complacen en la guerra!

Rebuke the wild beast of the reeds, The multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples, Trampling under foot the pieces of silver: He hath scattered the peoples that delight in war.

31 ¡ Que vengan a ti los príncipes de Egipto! ¡Que se apresure Etiopía a tender a ti sus manos!

Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall haste to stretch out her hands unto God.

32 R einos de la tierra, ¡canten salmos a Dios! ¡Canten salmos al Señor!

Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; Oh sing praises unto the Lord; Selah

33 ¡ Al que cabalga sobre los altos y eternos cielos! ¡Al que hace oír su poderosa voz!

To him that rideth upon the heaven of heavens, which are of old; Lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.

34 ¡ Reconozcan el poder a Dios! Sobre Israel puede verse su magnificencia; ¡en los cielos se manifiesta su poder!

Ascribe ye strength unto God: His excellency is over Israel, And his strength is in the skies.

35 E n su santuario, Dios es imponente; ¡el Dios de Israel da fuerza y vigor a su pueblo! ¡Bendito sea Dios!

O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: The God of Israel, he giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.
