1 C omenzaba el año veinticinco de nuestro cautiverio cuando la mano del Señor se posó sobre mí y me llevó a la ciudad de Jerusalén. Era el día diez del primer mes, y habían pasado catorce años desde que la ciudad había sido conquistada. Ese mismo día

In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day, the hand of Jehovah was upon me, and he brought me thither.

2 D ios me llevó en visiones a la tierra de Israel y me puso sobre un monte muy alto. En la parte sur del monte había un edificio que parecía una gran ciudad.

In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me down upon a very high mountain, whereon was as it were the frame of a city on the south.

3 A l dejarme allí, vi que en la puerta estaba un hombre que parecía de bronce, y que en su mano tenía un cordel de lino y una caña de medir.

And he brought me thither; and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.

4 E se hombre me habló, y me dijo: «Hijo de hombre, abre bien los ojos y los oídos, y presta mucha atención a todo lo que voy a mostrarte, porque para eso has sido traído aquí: para que yo te muestre todo esto y le cuentes al pueblo de Israel todo lo que veas.»

And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thy heart upon all that I shall show thee; for, to the intent that I may show them unto thee, art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel.

5 A quel edificio tenía una muralla por fuera. La caña de medir que ese hombre tenía en la mano medía tres metros, y el hombre midió la muralla, y medía tres metros de espesor y tres metros de altura.

And, behold, a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed six cubits long, of a cubit and a handbreadth each: so he measured the thickness of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.

6 L uego se dirigió hacia la puerta que da hacia el oriente y escaló sus gradas, y midió los dos postes de la puerta, y ambos medían tres metros de ancho.

Then came he unto the gate which looketh toward the east, and went up the steps thereof: and he measured the threshold of the gate, one reed broad; and the other threshold, one reed broad.

7 C ada cámara medía tres metros de largo y tres metros de ancho, y entre las cámaras había un espacio de dos metros y medio; y por dentro cada poste de la puerta junto a la entrada medía tres metros.

And every lodge was one reed long, and one reed broad; and the space between the lodges was five cubits; and the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate toward the house was one reed.

8 M idió también por dentro la entrada de la puerta, y medía tres metros;

He measured also the porch of the gate toward the house, one reed.

9 l a entrada del portal medía cuatro metros, y sus postes medían un metro. La puerta del portal estaba en el lado interno.

Then measured he the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and the posts thereof, two cubits; and the porch of the gate was toward the house.

10 E n cada costado de la puerta oriental había tres cámaras, las cuales eran de una misma medida, lo mismo que los portales en cada costado.

And the lodges of the gate eastward were three on this side, and three on that side; they three were of one measure: and the posts had one measure on this side and on that side.

11 M idió la entrada de la puerta, y ésta medía cinco metros de ancho; el portal medía seis metros y medio de largo.

And he measured the breadth of the opening of the gate, ten cubits; and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits;

12 D elante de las cámaras había un espacio de medio metro en cada lado, y las cámaras eran cuadradas y medían tres metros por lado.

and a border before the lodges, one cubit on this side, and a border, one cubit on that side; and the lodges, six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side.

13 L uego midió la puerta desde el techo de una cámara hasta el techo de la otra, y el ancho de puerta a puerta era de doce y medio metros.

And he measured the gate from the roof of the one lodge to the roof of the other, a breadth of five and twenty cubits; door against door.

14 M idió también los postes del atrio y del portal que lo rodeaba, y cada poste medía treinta metros.

He made also posts, threescore cubits; and the court reached unto the posts, round about the gate.

15 D esde el frente de la puerta de la entrada hasta el frente de la entrada de la puerta interior había veinticinco metros.

And from the forefront of the gate at the entrance unto the forefront of the inner porch of the gate were fifty cubits.

16 P or dentro las cámaras tenían unas ventanas estrechas, lo mismo que los portales y los corredores y alrededor de la puerta; esas ventanas daban a su interior. En cada poste había palmeras.

And there were closed windows to the lodges, and to their posts within the gate round about, and likewise to the arches; and windows were round about inward; and upon each post were palm-trees.

17 E se hombre me llevó al atrio exterior, el cual tenía cámaras y estaba totalmente enlosado. Alrededor de aquel atrio había treinta cámaras.

Then brought he me into the outer court; and, lo, there were chambers and a pavement, made for the court round about: thirty chambers were upon the pavement.

18 E l enlosado a los lados de las puertas era el más bajo, y era proporcional a la longitud de los portales.

And the pavement was by the side of the gates, answerable unto the length of the gates, even the lower pavement.

19 A llí el hombre midió la distancia que había desde el frente de la puerta de abajo hasta el frente del atrio interior por fuera, y ésta medía cincuenta metros hacia el oriente y hacia el norte.

Then he measured the breadth from the forefront of the lower gate unto the forefront of the inner court without, a hundred cubits, both on the east and on the north.

20 L uego midió el largo y el ancho de la puerta que estaba en el atrio exterior, hacia el norte.

And the gate of the outer court whose prospect is toward the north, he measured the length thereof and the breadth thereof.

21 H abía tres cámaras de un lado y tres del otro, y sus postes y sus arcos medían lo mismo que la primera puerta, es decir, veinticinco metros de largo por doce y medio metros de ancho.

And the lodges thereof were three on this side and three on that side; and the posts thereof and the arches thereof were after the measure of the first gate: the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.

22 S us ventanas, arcos y palmeras medían lo mismo que la puerta que daba hacia el oriente, y delante de ellas estaban sus arcos. A la puerta se subía por siete gradas.

And the windows thereof, and the arches thereof, and the palm-trees thereof, were after the measure of the gate whose prospect is toward the east; and they went up unto it by seven steps; and the arches thereof were before them.

23 L a puerta del atrio interior estaba frente a la puerta que daba hacia el norte, lo mismo que hacia el oriente. El hombre midió la distancia de puerta a puerta, y ésta era de cincuenta metros.

And there was a gate to the inner court over against the other gate, both on the north and on the east; and he measured from gate to gate a hundred cubits.

24 E l hombre me llevó después hacia el sur, y allí había una puerta que daba al sur. Midió sus portales y sus arcos siguiendo estas medidas,

And he led me toward the south; and, behold, a gate toward the south: and he measured the posts thereof and the arches thereof according to these measures.

25 y las ventanas y los arcos alrededor medían lo mismo que las otras ventanas, es decir, veinticinco metros de largo por doce y medio metros de ancho.

And there were windows in it and in the arches thereof round about, like those windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.

26 S us gradas eran de siete peldaños, con sus arcos delante de ellas; y tenían palmeras, una de un lado, y otra del otro lado, en sus postes.

And there were seven steps to go up to it, and the arches thereof were before them; and it had palm-trees, one on this side, and another on that side, upon the posts thereof.

27 H abía también una puerta hacia el sur del atrio interior; y de puerta a puerta hacia el sur midió cincuenta metros.

And there was a gate to the inner court toward the south: and he measured from gate to gate toward the south a hundred cubits.

28 M e llevó después en el atrio de adentro a la puerta del sur, y midió la puerta del sur conforme a estas medidas.

Then he brought me to the inner court by the south gate: and he measured the south gate according to these measures;

29 S us cámaras, sus postes y sus arcos seguían estas medidas, y las ventanas y arcos alrededor tenían veinticinco metros de largo por doce y medio metros de ancho.

and the lodges thereof, and the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, according to these measures: and there were windows in it and in the arches thereof round about; it was fifty cubits long, and five and twenty cubits broad.

30 L os arcos alrededor medían doce y medio metros de largo y dos y medio metros de ancho.

And there were arches round about, five and twenty cubits long, and five cubits broad.

31 S us arcos daban hacia fuera del atrio, y tenían palmeras en sus postes, y sus gradas eran de ocho peldaños.

And the arches thereof were toward the outer court; and palm-trees were upon the posts thereof: and the ascent to it had eight steps.

32 E l hombre me llevó al atrio interior, que daba hacia el oriente, y midió la puerta siguiendo estas medidas.

And he brought me into the inner court toward the east: and he measured the gate according to these measures;

33 S us cámaras, postes y arcos seguían estas medidas, y tenían ventanas y arcos alrededor, y medían veinticinco metros de largo por doce y medio metros de ancho.

and the lodges thereof, and the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, according to these measures: and there were windows therein and in the arches thereof round about; it was fifty cubits long, and five and twenty cubits broad.

34 S us arcos daban hacia fuera del atrio, y tenían palmeras en ambos lados de sus postes, y sus gradas eran de ocho peldaños.

35 E l hombre me llevó luego a la puerta del norte, y midió siguiendo estas medidas.

And he brought me to the north gate: and he measured it according to these measures;

36 S us cámaras, postes, arcos y ventanas alrededor medían veinticinco metros de largo por doce y medio metros de ancho.

the lodges thereof, the posts thereof, and the arches thereof: and there were windows therein round about; the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.

37 S us postes daban hacia fuera del atrio, y tenían palmeras en ambos lados de sus postes, y sus gradas eran de ocho peldaños.

And the posts thereof were toward the outer court; and palm-trees were upon the posts thereof, on this side, and on that side: and the ascent to it had eight steps.

38 A llí había una cámara en la que se lavaba el holocausto, la cual tenía una puerta con postes de portales.

And a chamber with the door thereof was by the posts at the gates; there they washed the burnt-offering.

39 E n la entrada de la puerta había dos mesas de cada lado, en las que se degollaban los animales para el holocausto, la expiación y el sacrificio por el pecado.

And in the porch of the gate were two tables on this side, and two tables on that side, to slay thereon the burnt-offering and the sin-offering and the trespass-offering.

40 A un lado de la entrada de la puerta del norte, por fuera de las gradas, había dos mesas, y otras dos al otro lado de la entrada de la puerta.

And on the one side without, as one goeth up to the entry of the gate toward the north, were two tables; and on the other side, which belonged to the porch of the gate, were two tables.

41 J unto a la puerta había cuatro mesas a un lado, y cuatro mesas al otro lado, es decir, ocho mesas para degollar sobre ellas a los animales que se ofrecían.

Four tables were on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate; eight tables, whereupon they slew the sacrifices.

42 L as cuatro mesas para el holocausto eran de piedra labrada, y medían setenta y cinco centímetros de largo por setenta y cinco centímetros de ancho, y cincuenta centímetros de alto. Sobre ellas se ponían los utensilios para degollar a los animales para el holocausto y el sacrificio.

And there were four tables for the burnt-offering, of hewn stone, a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half broad, and one cubit high; whereupon they laid the instruments wherewith they slew the burnt-offering and the sacrifice.

43 A dentro había ganchos dispuestos en derredor, los cuales medían siete centímetros, y sobre las mesas se ponía la carne de los animales sacrificados.

And the hooks, a handbreadth long, were fastened within round about: and upon the tables was the flesh of the oblation.

44 A fuera de la puerta interior, en el atrio interior que estaba a un costado de la puerta del norte, estaban las cámaras de los cantores, las cuales daban hacia el sur; una estaba a un lado de la puerta del oriente que daba hacia el norte.

And without the inner gate were chambers for the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate; and their prospect was toward the south; one at the side of the east gate having the prospect toward the north.

45 Y el hombre me dijo: «Esta cámara, que da hacia el sur, es de los sacerdotes que tienen a su cargo el cuidado del templo.

And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house;

46 L a cámara que da hacia el norte es de los sacerdotes encargados de cuidar del altar, y que son los hijos de Sadoc, los cuales se eligen de entre los hijos de Leví para servir al Señor.»

and the chamber whose prospect is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok, who from among the sons of Levi come near to Jehovah to minister unto him.

47 L uego el hombre midió el atrio, y éste medía cincuenta metros de largo por cincuenta metros de ancho; es decir, era cuadrado; y el altar estaba delante del edificio.

And he measured the court, a hundred cubits long, and a hundred cubits broad, foursquare; and the altar was before the house.

48 E l hombre me llevó al pórtico del templo, y midió los postes del pórtico, y cada uno medía dos metros y medio por lado. El ancho de la puerta era de un metro y medio por lado.

Then he brought me to the porch of the house, and measured each post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side: and the breadth of the gate was three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side.

49 E l pórtico medía diez metros de largo y cinco y medio metros de ancho, y se subía a él por gradas. Junto a los postes había columnas en ambos lados.

The length of the porch was twenty cubits, and the breadth eleven cubits; even by the steps whereby they went up to it: and there were pillars by the posts, one on this side, and another on that side.
