1 L uego, el hombre me hizo volver a la entrada del templo, y vi que por debajo del umbral del templo salía agua hacia el oriente, pues la fachada del templo miraba hacia el oriente y el agua corría por debajo, hacia el lado derecho del templo, al sur del altar.

And he brought me back unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward; (for the forefront of the house was toward the east;) and the waters came down from under, from the right side of the house, on the south of the altar.

2 Y el hombre me llevó por el camino de la puerta del norte, y me hizo dar la vuelta por el camino exterior, fuera de la puerta, en dirección a la puerta que da hacia el oriente. Y vi que el agua salía del lado derecho.

Then he brought me out by the way of the gate northward, and led me round by the way without unto the outer gate, by the way of the gate that looketh toward the east; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

3 A quel hombre salió y se dirigió al oriente. En su mano llevaba un cordel, y con él midió mil codos, y me hizo pasar por el agua, la cual me llegaba hasta los tobillos.

When the man went forth eastward with the line in his hand, he measured a thousand cubits, and he caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the ankles.

4 L uego midió otros mil codos y me hizo pasar por el agua, que ahora me llegaba hasta las rodillas, y luego de medir otros mil codos me hizo pasar por el agua, y ésta me llegó hasta la cintura.

Again he measured a thousand, and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the loins.

5 C uando midió otros mil codos, el agua era ya un río; de tal manera había crecido la corriente que yo no la podía cruzar sino a nado.

Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass through; for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed through.

6 E ntonces me dijo: «¿Te das cuenta, hijo de hombre?» Después me llevó, y me hizo volver por la ribera del río.

And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the bank of the river.

7 C uando volví, pude ver que en ambas márgenes del río había muchísimos árboles.

Now when I had returned, behold, upon the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

8 Y el hombre me dijo: «Esta agua corre hacia la región del oriente, y baja al Arabá y se pierde en el mar. Una vez que el agua entra en el mar, se vuelve agua saludable.

Then said he unto me, These waters issue forth toward the eastern region, and shall go down into the Arabah; and they shall go toward the sea; into the sea shall the waters go which were made to issue forth; and the waters shall be healed.

9 T odos los seres vivos que naden por donde entra la corriente, vivirán; habrá muchísimos peces que, por haber desembocado allí esta agua, recibirán salud. ¡Todo lo que entre en este río vivirá!

And it shall come to pass, that every living creature which swarmeth, in every place whither the rivers come, shall live; and there shall be a very great multitude of fish; for these waters are come thither, and the waters of the sea shall be healed, and everything shall live whithersoever the river cometh.

10 J unto al río se pondrán los pescadores, y tenderán sus redes desde Engadí hasta Eneglayin, y las especies de los peces serán tan numerosas como las de los peces del Mar Grande,

And it shall come to pass, that fishers shall stand by it: from En-gedi even unto En-eglaim shall be a place for the spreading of nets; their fish shall be after their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

11 p ero sus pantanos y sus lagunas no se limpiarán, sino que seguirán siendo salinas.

But the miry places thereof, and the marshes thereof, shall not be healed; they shall be given up to salt.

12 E n ambos márgenes del río crecerá toda clase de árboles frutales, a los que nunca les faltará fruto ni sus hojas se caerán. Esos árboles madurarán a su tiempo, porque el agua que los riega sale del santuario. Sus frutos serán comestibles, y sus hojas serán medicinales. Reparto y límites de la tierra

And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow every tree for food, whose leaf shall not whither, neither shall the fruit thereof fail: it shall bring forth new fruit every month, because the waters thereof issue out of the sanctuary; and the fruit thereof shall be for food, and the leaf thereof for healing.

13 A sí ha dicho Dios el Señor: «Éstos son los límites para el reparto de la tierra que recibirán como herencia las doce tribus de Israel. José recibirá dos porciones.

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: This shall be the border, whereby ye shall divide the land for inheritance according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

14 U nos y otros la recibirán como herencia. Por esta tierra levanté mi mano y juré que se la daría a sus padres; por lo tanto, ésta será la tierra que ustedes heredarán.

And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another; for I sware to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.

15 » Por el lado norte, el límite de la tierra será el siguiente: desde el Mar Grande, por el camino de Jetlón que llega a Zedad,

And this shall be the border of the land: On the north side, from the great sea, by the way of Hethlon, unto the entrance of Zedad;

16 J amat, Berotá y Siberayin, que está entre el límite de Damasco y el límite de Jamat; Jasar Haticón, que es el límite de Jaurán.

Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazer-hatticon, which is by the border of Hauran.

17 E l límite norte será desde el mar hasta Jasar Enán, en los límites de Damasco al norte, y en los límites de Jamat por el lado norte.

And the border from the sea, shall be Hazar-enon at the border of Damascus; and on the north northward is the border of Hamath. This is the north side.

18 » Por el lado oriente, en medio de Jaurán y de Damasco, y de Galaad y de la tierra de Israel, hasta el Jordán. Esto medirán como límite hasta el mar oriental.

And the east side, between Hauran and Damascus and Gilead, and the land of Israel, shall be the Jordan; from the north border unto the east sea shall ye measure. This is the east side.

19 » Por el lado sur, desde Tamar hasta las aguas de Meriba; desde Cades y el arroyo hasta el Mar Grande. Éste será el límite sur.

And the south side southward shall be from Tamar as far as the waters of Meriboth-kadesh, to the brook of Egypt, unto the great sea. This is the south side southward.

20 » Por el occidente, el límite será el Mar Grande hasta la entrada de Jamat. Éste será el límite occidental.

And the west side shall be the great sea, from the south border as far as over against the entrance of Hamath. This is the west side.

21 » Esta tierra la repartirán entre ustedes, según el número de las tribus de Israel.

So shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel.

22 L a repartirán por sorteo, como herencia para ustedes, y para los extranjeros que vivan entre ustedes y que entre ustedes hayan engendrado hijos, pues deberán considerarlos como naturales entre los hijos de Israel; así que participarán en el sorteo, lo mismo que ustedes, y tendrán su herencia entre las tribus de Israel.

And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you and to the strangers that sojourn among you, who shall beget children among you; and they shall be unto you as the home-born among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

23 D arán al extranjero su herencia en la tribu en la que viva.» Palabra de Dios el Señor.

And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord Jehovah.
