1 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

2 T ake ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;

„Faceţi numărătoarea întregii adunări a israeliţilor, după clanurile şi familiile lor, înscriind pe fiecare bărbat în parte după numele său,

3 F rom twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

pe toţi aceia din Israel de la douăzeci de ani în sus, care sunt în stare să meargă la război. Tu şi Aaron să-i număraţi potrivit oştirilor lor.

4 A nd with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.

Să fie cu voi câte un bărbat din fiecare seminţie, fiecare – căpetenia familiei lui.

5 A nd these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.

6 O f Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

16 T hese were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel.

Aceştia au fost cei aleşi din adunare, conducătorii seminţiilor strămoşilor lor, căpeteniile miilor lui Israel.

17 A nd Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names:

18 A nd they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.

19 A s the Lord commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

aşa cum i-a poruncit Domnul lui Moise. Aşa i-a numărat el în pustia Sinai.

20 A nd the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Urmaşii fiilor lui Ruben, întâiul născut al lui Israel, după clanurile şi familiile lor, înscrişi după numele fiecărui bărbat de la douăzeci de ani în sus, toţi aceia care erau în stare să meargă la război –

21 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.

cei număraţi din seminţia lui Ruben – au fost patruzeci şi şase de mii cinci sute.

22 O f the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Urmaşii fiilor lui Simeon, după clanurile şi familiile lor, toţi aceia care au fost înscrişi după numele fiecărui bărbat de la douăzeci de ani în sus, toţi aceia care erau în stare să meargă la război –

23 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

cei număraţi din seminţia lui Simeon – au fost cincizeci şi nouă de mii trei sute.

24 O f the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Urmaşii fiilor lui Gad, după clanurile şi familiile lor, înscrişi după numele celor de la douăzeci de ani în sus, toţi aceia care erau în stare să meargă la război –

25 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty.

cei număraţi din seminţia lui Gad – au fost patruzeci şi cinci de mii şase sute cincizeci.

26 O f the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Urmaşii fiilor lui Iuda, după clanurile şi familiile lor, înscrişi după numele celor de la douăzeci de ani în sus, toţi aceia care erau în stare să meargă la război –

27 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.

cei număraţi din seminţia lui Iuda – au fost şaptezeci şi patru de mii şase sute.

28 O f the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Urmaşii fiilor lui Isahar, după clanurile şi familiile lor, înscrişi după numele celor de la douăzeci de ani în sus, toţi aceia care erau în stare să meargă la război –

29 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

cei număraţi din seminţia lui Isahar – au fost cincizeci şi patru de mii patru sute.

30 O f the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

32 O f the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

33 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.

cei număraţi din seminţia lui Efraim – au fost patruzeci de mii cinci sute.

34 O f the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

38 O f the children of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

40 O f the children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Urmaşii fiilor lui Aşer, după clanurile şi familiile lor, înscrişi după numele celor de la douăzeci de ani în sus, toţi aceia care erau în stare să meargă la război –

41 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.

cei număraţi din seminţia lui Aşer – au fost patruzeci şi unu de mii cinci sute.

42 O f the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

Urmaşii fiilor lui Neftali, după clanurile şi familiile lor, înscrişi după numele celor de la douăzeci de ani în sus, toţi aceia care erau în stare să meargă la război –

43 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

cei număraţi din seminţia lui Neftali – au fost cincizeci şi trei de mii patru sute.

44 T hese are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.

Aceştia sunt cei care au fost număraţi, pe care Moise şi Aaron i-au numărat cu ajutorul conducătorilor lui Israel, cei doisprezece oameni, fiecare reprezentând propria lui familie.

45 S o were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;

Deci toţi israeliţii care au fost număraţi după familiile lor, de la douăzeci de ani în sus, toţi aceia din Israel, care erau în stare să meargă la război,

46 E ven all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

toţi cei ieşiţi la numărătoare au fost şase sute trei mii cinci sute cincizeci.

47 B ut the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

Leviţii, după seminţia strămoşilor lor, n-au fost număraţi împreună cu ei. Deosebirea leviţilor

48 F or the Lord had spoken unto Moses, saying,

Domnul îi zisese lui Moise:

49 O nly thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:

„Să nu numeri seminţia lui Levi şi să nu îi ţii socoteala în mijlocul celorlalţi israeliţi;

50 B ut thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.

dă în grija leviţilor Tabernaculul Mărturiei, toate uneltele lui şi tot ce ţine de el; ei trebuie să poarte Tabernaculul şi toate uneltele lui, să aibă grijă de el şi să-şi facă tabăra în jurul lui.

51 A nd when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

Când Tabernaculul urmează să fie mutat, leviţii trebuie să-l strângă, iar când Tabernaculul urmează să fie întins, leviţii să-l înalţe. Străinul care se va apropia să fie omorât.

52 A nd the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.

Ceilalţi israeliţi să se aşeze fiecare în tabăra lui, fiecare bărbat sub steagul său, potrivit oştirilor lor.

53 B ut the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

Dar leviţii să-şi facă tabăra în jurul Tabernaculului Mărturiei, ca să nu izbucnească mânia Mea împotriva adunării israeliţilor; leviţii să aibă în pază Tabernaculul Mărturiei.“

54 A nd the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did they.

Israeliţii au făcut întocmai; ei au făcut aşa cum Domnul i-a poruncit lui Moise.
