1 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

2 T ake ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;

“Haz un censo de toda la congregación de los Israelitas por sus familias, por sus casas paternas, según el número de los nombres, de todo varón, uno por uno;

3 F rom twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

de veinte años arriba, todos los que pueden salir a la guerra en Israel, tú y Aarón los contarán por sus ejércitos.

4 A nd with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.

Con ustedes estará además, un hombre de cada tribu, cada uno jefe de su casa paterna.

5 A nd these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.

Estos son los nombres de los hombres que estarán con ustedes: de Rubén, Elisur, hijo de Sedeur;

6 O f Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

7 O f Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

17 A nd Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names:

18 A nd they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.

y reunieron a toda la congregación el primer día del mes segundo. Y se registraron según sus antepasados por familias, por sus casas paternas, según el número de nombres, de veinte años arriba, uno por uno.

19 A s the Lord commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

Tal como el Señor se lo había mandado, Moisés los contó en el desierto de Sinaí.

20 A nd the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

De los descendientes de Rubén, primogénito de Israel, fueron contados por su registro genealógico, por sus familias, por sus casas paternas, según el número de nombres, uno por uno, todo varón de veinte años arriba, todo el que podía salir a la guerra;

21 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.

los enumerados de la tribu de Rubén fueron 46, 500.

22 O f the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

De los descendientes de Simeón, fueron contados por su registro genealógico, por sus familias, por sus casas paternas, sus enumerados, según el número de nombres, uno por uno, todo varón de veinte años arriba, todo el que podía salir a la guerra;

23 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

los enumerados de la tribu de Simeón fueron 59, 300.

24 O f the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

De los descendientes de Gad, fueron contados por su registro genealógico, por sus familias, por sus casas paternas, según el número de nombres, de veinte años arriba, todo el que podía salir a la guerra;

25 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty.

26 O f the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

27 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.

28 O f the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

38 O f the children of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

42 O f the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

De los descendientes de Neftalí, fueron contados por su registro genealógico, por sus familias, por sus casas paternas, según el número de nombres, de veinte años arriba, todo el que podía salir a la guerra;

43 T hose that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

los enumerados de la tribu de Neftalí fueron 53, 400.

44 T hese are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.

Estos son los que fueron enumerados, los que Moisés y Aarón contaron con los principales de Israel, doce hombres, cada uno de los cuales era jefe de su casa paterna.

45 S o were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;

Así que todos los enumerados de los Israelitas por sus casas paternas, de veinte años arriba, todo el que podía salir a la guerra en Israel,

46 E ven all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

47 B ut the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

Pero los Levitas no fueron enumerados con ellos según la tribu de sus padres.

48 F or the Lord had spoken unto Moses, saying,

Porque el Señor le había dicho a Moisés:

49 O nly thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:

“Solamente la tribu de Leví no enumerarás, ni los contarás con los Israelitas;

50 B ut thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.

sino que pondrás a los Levitas a cargo del tabernáculo (de la morada) del testimonio, de todos sus utensilios y de todo lo que le pertenece. Ellos llevarán el tabernáculo y todos sus utensilios, y lo cuidarán; además, acamparán alrededor del tabernáculo.

51 A nd when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

Y cuando el tabernáculo haya de ser trasladado, los Levitas lo desarmarán; y cuando el tabernáculo acampe, los Levitas lo armarán. Pero el extraño que se acerque, morirá.

52 A nd the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.

Los Israelitas acamparán, cada uno en su campamento, y cada uno junto a su bandera, según sus ejércitos.

53 B ut the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

Pero los Levitas acamparán alrededor del tabernáculo del testimonio, para que no venga la ira sobre la congregación de los Israelitas. Los Levitas, pues, tendrán a su cargo el tabernáculo del testimonio.”

54 A nd the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so did they.

Así hicieron los Israelitas; conforme a todo lo que el Señor había mandado a Moisés, así lo hicieron.
