1 T hen said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

Jesús dijo a Sus discípulos: “Es inevitable que vengan tropiezos (escándalos), pero ¡ay de aquél por quien vienen!

2 I t were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

Mejor le sería si se le colgara una piedra de molino al cuello y fuera arrojado al mar, que hacer tropezar (escandalizar) a uno de estos pequeños.

3 T ake heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

¡Tengan cuidado! Si tu hermano peca, repréndelo; y si se arrepiente, perdónalo.

4 A nd if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Y si peca contra ti siete veces al día, y vuelve a ti siete veces, diciendo: ‘Me arrepiento,’ perdónalo.” La Fe y el Servicio

5 A nd the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

Los apóstoles dijeron al Señor: “¡Auméntanos la fe!”

6 A nd the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Entonces el Señor dijo: “Si tuvieran fe como un grano de mostaza, dirían a este sicómoro: ‘Desarráigate y plántate en el mar,’ y les obedecería.

7 B ut which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?

“¿Quién de ustedes tiene un siervo arando o pastoreando ovejas, y cuando regresa del campo, le dice: ‘Ven enseguida y siéntate a comer ’?

8 A nd will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

¿No le dirá más bien: ‘Prepárame algo para cenar, y vístete adecuadamente, y sírveme hasta que haya comido y bebido; y después comerás y beberás tú’?

9 D oth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.

¿Acaso le da las gracias al siervo porque hizo lo que se le ordenó?

10 S o likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

Así también ustedes, cuando hayan hecho todo lo que se les ha ordenado, digan: ‘Siervos inútiles somos; hemos hecho sólo lo que debíamos haber hecho.’” Los Diez Leprosos

11 A nd it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

Aconteció que mientras Jesús iba camino a Jerusalén, pasaba entre Samaria y Galilea,

12 A nd as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

y al entrar en cierta aldea, Le salieron al encuentro diez hombres leprosos, que se pararon a distancia,

13 A nd they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

y gritaron: “¡Jesús, Maestro! ¡Ten misericordia de nosotros!”

14 A nd when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

Cuando El los vio, les dijo: “Vayan y muéstrense a los sacerdotes.” Y sucedió que mientras iban, quedaron limpios.

15 A nd one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

Entonces uno de ellos, al ver que había sido sanado, se volvió glorificando a Dios en alta voz.

16 A nd fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

Cayó sobre su rostro a los pies de Jesús, y Le dio gracias; y éste era Samaritano.

17 A nd Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

Jesús le preguntó: “¿No fueron diez los que quedaron limpios? Y los otros nueve, ¿dónde están?

18 T here are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

¿No hubo ninguno que regresara a dar gloria a Dios, excepto este extranjero?”

19 A nd he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Entonces le dijo: “Levántate y vete; tu fe te ha sanado.” Llegada del Reino de Dios

20 A nd when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

Habiendo preguntado los Fariseos a Jesús cuándo vendría el reino de Dios, El les respondió: “El reino de Dios no viene con señales visibles,

21 N either shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

ni dirán: ‘¡Miren, aquí está!’ o: ‘¡Allí está!’ Porque, el reino de Dios está entre ustedes.”

22 A nd he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

Y a los discípulos les dijo: “Vendrán días cuando ustedes ansiarán ver uno de los días del Hijo del Hombre, y no lo verán.

23 A nd they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.

Y les dirán: ‘¡Miren allí! ¡Miren aquí!’ No vayan, ni corran tras ellos.

24 F or as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

Porque como el relámpago al fulgurar resplandece desde un extremo del cielo hasta el otro extremo del cielo, así será el Hijo del Hombre en Su día.

25 B ut first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.

Pero primero es necesario que El padezca mucho y sea rechazado por esta generación.

26 A nd as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

Tal como ocurrió en los días de Noé, así será también en los días del Hijo del Hombre.

27 T hey did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Comían, bebían, se casaban y se daban en casamiento, hasta el día en que Noé entró en el arca, y vino el diluvio y los destruyó a todos.

28 L ikewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Fue lo mismo que ocurrió en los días de Lot: comían, bebían, compraban, vendían, plantaban, construían;

29 B ut the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

pero el día en que Lot salió de Sodoma, llovió fuego y azufre del cielo y los destruyó a todos.

30 E ven thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Lo mismo acontecerá el día en que el Hijo del Hombre sea revelado.

31 I n that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

En ese día, el que esté en la azotea y tenga sus bienes en casa, no descienda a llevárselos; y de igual modo, el que esté en el campo no vuelva atrás.

32 R emember Lot's wife.

Acuérdense de la mujer de Lot.

33 W hosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Todo el que procure preservar su vida (alma), la perderá; y todo el que la pierda, la conservará.

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

Les digo que en aquella noche dos estarán en una cama; uno será tomado y el otro será dejado.

35 T wo women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Dos mujeres estarán moliendo en el mismo lugar; una será tomada y la otra será dejada.

36 T wo men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Dos estarán en el campo; uno será tomado y el otro será dejado.”

37 A nd they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

Respondiendo ellos, Le dijeron: “¿Dónde, Señor?” Y El les dijo: “Donde esté el cuerpo, allí también se juntarán los buitres.”
