1 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,

En la tierra de Egipto el Señor habló a Moisés y a Aarón y les dijo:

2 T his month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

“Este mes será para ustedes el principio de los meses. Será el primer mes del año para ustedes.

3 S peak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

Hablen a toda la congregación de Israel y digan: ‘ El día diez de este mes cada uno tomará para sí un cordero, según sus casas paternas; un cordero para cada casa.

4 A nd if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

Pero si la casa es muy pequeña para un cordero, entonces él y el vecino más cercano a su casa tomarán uno según el número de personas. Conforme a lo que cada persona coma, dividirán ustedes el cordero.

5 Y our lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

El cordero será un macho sin defecto, de un año. Lo apartarán de entre las ovejas o de entre las cabras.

6 A nd ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

Y lo guardarán hasta el día catorce del mismo mes. Entonces toda la asamblea de la congregación de Israel lo matará al anochecer.

7 A nd they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

Ellos tomarán parte de la sangre y la pondrán en los dos postes y en el dintel de las casas donde lo coman.

8 A nd they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

‘Comerán la carne esa misma noche, asada al fuego, y la comerán con pan sin levadura y con hierbas amargas.

9 E at not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.

Ustedes no comerán nada de él crudo ni hervido en agua, sino asado al fuego, tanto su cabeza como sus patas y sus entrañas.

10 A nd ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.

No dejarán nada de él para la mañana, sino que lo que quede de él para la mañana lo quemarán en el fuego.

11 A nd thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord 's passover.

De esta manera lo comerán: ceñidas sus cinturas, las sandalias en sus pies y el cayado en su mano, lo comerán apresuradamente. Es la Pascua del Señor.

12 F or I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.

‘Porque esa noche pasaré por la tierra de Egipto, y heriré a todo primogénito en la tierra de Egipto, tanto de hombre como de animal. Ejecutaré juicios contra todos los dioses de Egipto. Yo, el Señor.

13 A nd the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

La sangre les será a ustedes por señal en las casas donde estén. Cuando Yo vea la sangre pasaré de largo, y ninguna plaga vendrá sobre ustedes para destruir los cuando Yo hiera la tierra de Egipto.

14 A nd this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

Y este día será memorable para ustedes y lo celebrarán como fiesta al Señor. Lo celebrarán por todas sus generaciones como ordenanza perpetua.

15 S even days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.

‘Siete días comerán panes sin levadura. Además, desde el primer día quitarán toda levadura de sus casas. Porque cualquiera que coma algo leudado desde el primer día hasta el séptimo, esa persona será cortada de Israel.

16 A nd in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

Y en el primer día tendrán una santa convocación, y otra santa convocación en el séptimo día. Ningún trabajo se hará en ellos, excepto lo que cada uno deba comer. Sólo esto podrán hacer.

17 A nd ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.

Guardarán también la Fiesta de los Panes sin Levadura, porque en ese mismo día saqué Yo a sus ejércitos de la tierra de Egipto. Por tanto guardarán este día por todas sus generaciones como ordenanza perpetua.

18 I n the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.

En el mes primero comerán los panes sin levadura, desde el día catorce del mes por la tarde, hasta el día veintiuno del mes por la tarde.

19 S even days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.

Por siete días no habrá levadura en sus casas. Porque cualquiera que coma algo leudado, esa persona será cortada de la congregación de Israel, ya sea extranjero o nativo del país.

20 Y e shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

No comerán nada leudado. En todo lugar donde habiten comerán panes sin levadura.’”

21 T hen Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

Entonces Moisés convocó a todos los ancianos de Israel, y les dijo: “Saquen del rebaño corderos para ustedes según sus familias, y sacrifiquen la Pascua.

22 A nd ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

Tomarán un manojo de hisopo, y lo mojarán en la sangre que está en la vasija, y untarán con la sangre que está en la vasija el dintel y los dos postes de la puerta. Ninguno de ustedes saldrá de la puerta de su casa hasta la mañana.

23 F or the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

Pues el Señor pasará para herir a los Egipcios. Cuando vea la sangre en el dintel y en los dos postes de la puerta, el Señor pasará de largo aquella puerta, y no permitirá que el ángel destructor entre en sus casas para herir los.

24 A nd ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.

Y guardarán esta ceremonia como ordenanza para ustedes y para sus hijos para siempre.

25 A nd it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service.

“Cuando entren a la tierra que el Señor les dará, como ha prometido, guardarán este rito.

26 A nd it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service?

Y cuando sus hijos les pregunten: ‘¿Qué significa este rito para ustedes ?’

27 T hat ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord 's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

ustedes les dirán: ‘Es un sacrificio de la Pascua al Señor, el cual pasó de largo las casas de los Israelitas en Egipto cuando hirió a los Egipcios, y libró nuestras casas.’” Y el pueblo se postró y adoró.

28 A nd the children of Israel went away, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

Los Israelitas fueron y lo hicieron así. Tal como el Señor había mandado a Moisés y a Aarón, así lo hicieron. Muerte de los Primogénitos

29 A nd it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

Y a la medianoche, el Señor hirió a todo primogénito en la tierra de Egipto, desde el primogénito de Faraón que se sentaba sobre su trono, hasta el primogénito del cautivo que estaba en la cárcel, y todo primogénito del ganado.

30 A nd Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

Faraón se levantó en la noche, él con todos sus siervos y todos los Egipcios. Y se oyó un gran clamor en Egipto, porque no había hogar donde no hubiera alguien muerto.

31 A nd he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said.

Entonces Faraón llamó a Moisés y a Aarón aún de noche, y dijo: “Levántense y salgan de entre mi pueblo, ustedes y los Israelitas. Vayan y adoren (sirvan) al Señor, como han dicho.

32 A lso take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.

Tomen también sus ovejas y sus vacas, como han dicho, y váyanse, y bendíganme también a mí.”

33 A nd the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

Y los Egipcios apremiaban al pueblo, dándose prisa en echarlos de la tierra, porque decían: “Todos seremos muertos.”

34 A nd the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.

Tomó, pues, el pueblo la masa, antes que fuera leudada, en sus artesas de amasar envueltas en paños, y se las llevaron sobre sus hombros.

35 A nd the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:

Los Israelitas hicieron según las instrucciones (las palabras) de Moisés, pues pidieron a los Egipcios objetos de plata, objetos de oro y ropa.

36 A nd the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

Y el Señor hizo que el pueblo se ganara el favor de los Egipcios, que les concedieron lo que pedían. Así despojaron a los Egipcios. Los Israelitas Salen de Egipto

37 A nd the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

Los Israelitas salieron de Ramsés hacia Sucot, unos 600, 000 hombres de a pie, sin contar los niños.

38 A nd a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.

Subió también con ellos una multitud mixta, junto con ovejas y vacas, una gran cantidad de ganado.

39 A nd they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

De la masa que habían sacado de Egipto, cocieron tortas de panes sin levadura, pues no se había leudado, ya que al ser echados de Egipto, no pudieron demorarse ni preparar alimentos para sí mismos.

40 N ow the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.

El tiempo que los Israelitas vivieron en Egipto fue de 430 años.

41 A nd it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.

Y después de los 430 años, en aquel mismo día, todos los ejércitos del Señor salieron de la tierra de Egipto.

42 I t is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.

Esta es noche de vigilia para el Señor por haberlos sacado de la tierra de Egipto. Esta noche es para el Señor, para ser guardada por todos los hijos de Israel por todas sus generaciones. Ordenanza de la Pascua

43 A nd the Lord said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:

Y el Señor dijo a Moisés y a Aarón: “Esta es la ordenanza de la Pascua: ningún extranjero (peregrino) comerá de ella.

44 B ut every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.

Pero el siervo de todo hombre, comprado por dinero, después que lo circunciden, podrá entonces comer de ella.

45 A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.

El extranjero y el jornalero no comerán de ella.

46 I n one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.

Se ha de comer cada cordero en una misma casa. No sacarán nada de la carne fuera de la casa, ni quebrarán ninguno de sus huesos.

47 A ll the congregation of Israel shall keep it.

Toda la congregación de Israel la celebrará.

48 A nd when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

Pero si un extranjero reside con ustedes y celebra la Pascua al Señor, que sea circuncidado todo varón de su casa, y entonces que se acerque para celebrarla, pues será como un nativo del país. Pero ninguna persona incircuncisa comerá de ella.

49 O ne law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

La misma ley se aplicará tanto al nativo como al extranjero que habite entre ustedes.”

50 T hus did all the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

Entonces lo hicieron así todos los Israelitas. Hicieron tal como el Señor había mandado a Moisés y a Aarón.

51 A nd it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

Y aquel mismo día, el Señor sacó a los Israelitas de la tierra de Egipto por sus ejércitos.
